Verick had shocked everyone, including the scarred king, when he threw his head directly into the king’s wide-open mouth.
The greenhead was literally left speechless, but he would not let such a golden opportunity pass him by. His razor-sharp teeth surrounded Verick’s head and he attempted to bite down and chomp it to bits.
As soon as he tried though he found immediate danger. The horns atop Verick’s head had shifted without the king’s notice. One still remained at the top of his head but the second one had already moved and pierced through the bottom part of Verick’s jaw. His head was at the center and two spikes that were made from his horns extended from both the top and the bottom of his head, creating a precarious situation.
The king recognized the danger. If he bit down, he may crush Verick’s head but the most likely scenario would be the
