“Young Master…Get up.”
After Kori’s lingering energy split and a fragment reached Mei’s soul, the phantom before her, spoke.
“Young Master, please get up.”
Mei looked up at Kori in disbelief. She staggered to her feet and again tried to touch him, and again her hand passed through him.
Kori shook his head.
“Young Master…Mei…I am no longer able to be by your side, but even without my physical presence, you will not be alone, not really.”
Kori pointed at Mei’s soul tree, and Mei finally followed his guidance.
She looked at the energy swirling near her soul tree. The same warm feeling filled her soul world and seemed to ease her sorrow, if only a little bit.
Kori had shared the last of his memories with her, and she understood what he was trying to do.
“This energy…you’re giving it to me? I don’t want it. I don’t want to if this means you’re gone forever.”
