Sujin’s speed was not something Sephra expected, and she quickly turned and fled. While moving, she snatched another divine crystal that was flying nearby. Crushing it in her hand, she devoured more energy and her speed increased. This barely helped, though, as Sujin was already gaining on her.
Her eyes widened as he smiled back at her like a crazed madman.
“Yes, run some more. It makes things much more entertaining. I don’t want the game to end too soon.”
Sephra fled as fast as possible with everything she had, but Sujin’s speed only continued to increase. The white scales growing over his body had finished covering his entire chest, and his hands became more akin to the claws of a beast than those of a normal person.
Sephra snatched another trinket, flying by and devouring its energy. Her body recovered even more, her speed rose, and she gained a boost. Seeing the
