Berk had already eaten a large portion of a far-off mountain when it turned and smiled at Keragus and the others.
Keragus smacked his own forehead.
(Why is it still following me?)
Keragus pointed at the ground in front of him and commanded.
“Berk, come.”
Berk’s ears perked up, and he disappeared from the mountainside. The very first instant, he sprung up and out of a shadow that Keragus’s large frame cast upon the ground.
“Master called me.”
He wore an odd smile as he looked as if he were awaiting another order or most likely more meat.
“Did I not tell you to go? Why are you still following after us?”
“Master is master, of course, I follow. It’s not my fault if Master can’t get away, hehe.”
Kazuki read Berk’s soul and found it was filled with an almost comforting simplicity. There was not a hint of evil nor good. Berk was a neutral type of creature
