Kazuki waited for everyone to finish eating before he sent the kids away. Telfor and Berk happily became their play buddies, and the group ran around like wild children. The kids hadn’t eaten anything decent in nearly three years. Now with full stomachs and a beautiful world to roam, they went all out in their play. Chasing the shadow wolf, Berk, was the most exciting for them.
Every time they got close, Berk would vanish and reappear a few feet away.
After sending the children to play, Kazuki got a little serious as he explained some of the things that happened. He kept many things out, after all, these people were still strangers to him for the most part. Still, he told them about most of the happenings in the outside world.
When he finally got around to telling them about Daisius’s death, none of them appeared surprised.
