Frozen in shock, Mei couldn’t breathe. All of her instincts were screaming at her to run away as fast as possible, yet her body refused to move.
Mei didn’t know which was scarier. The fact that Belux already knew her name as well as her relationship with Kosaru or the fact that she was all alone yet surrounded by Belux’s dreadful and nightmarish aura.
Belux called out to her once more.
“Don’t be afraid. By now, you’ve heard of me, right? I just need to borrow Kosaru’s talents for a short while. Once I’m done, I’ll return him to your side unharmed. Now tell me, little bird, where is my seeker? Where is Kosaru?”
