Fera’s consciousness was completely obliterated from the Feya continent and was blown back from whence it came. Across the land, stretched towards the horizon, thousands upon thousands of miles away, through the sky and over the great ocean, Fera’s mind raced back to the dark continent.
Once more, Fera’s mind rejoined with her body, and with it came the most brutalizing pain.
*AHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!*
A beast like scream escaped her lips as she roared at the top of her lungs. The entire room exploded from the force of her breath alone and her pained cry echoed out for hundreds of miles away. The shocking loud voice contained so much power that it killed thousands of people within 10 miles of her scream. Whether due to the power her voice released or the overwhelming fear many felt from this, all at once, people collapsed and fell over dead. Even the animals in the forest were not left unharmed and many foamed at the mouth and died right there and then.
Fera was not done though, how could she be. The feeling she endured was like someone opening up her scalp and grinding the contents within. Fera gripped her head in torment and she couldn’t control her magic for a split second. All at once, her body was engulfed in flames of her own design. Soon after, green energy swirled around her and the gravity increased on her own body by several hundred times forcing her to fall to her knees.
Fera cried out once more and lightning formed in the sky. The clouds darkened all at once and many people looked up in a panic. They saw such ominous clouds forming above the palace and after such a terrible cry and assumed the end was nigh. For many of them, this was in fact true.
The very next moment, Fera’s unfocused power rippled in the sky above and all at once, the sky lit up with a blinding light.
*BOOM KA-BOOM BANG BOOM BANG BOOM!*
Hundreds of lightning bolts rained down from the heavens and struck the palace and the surrounding area. As the lightning struck the palace a barrier appeared around it but after only a few strikes, the barrier wavered before crumbling and exploding. Following that, the rest of the strikes that didn’t hit the area around the palace, all came crashing down upon Fera’s back.
The palace shook for a while and wildfires lit up all over. The palace guards, as well as many generals, raced over to Fera’s room or rather what remained of it. A large chunk of the palace had been completely destroyed and the remains of humans filled the hall. Puddles of red mixed with puddles of purplish-black causing a foul smell to fill the world around them. These guards couldn’t help but be terrified. The sight and smell of this was worse than a battlefield.
As soon as they came upon Fera’s room, her anguish filled screams were no more. Instead what lay before them was a shattered room and a charcoaled out body.
One of the guards was the first with courage and took a step forward but as soon as he did, a cold dangerous voice rang out.
“Did I tell you to come!”
Fera’s completely burnt arm slowly lifted and the guard felt death before him. He swiftly fell to one knee and kneeled before shouting.
“Your Highness forgive me!”
*Schink*
With a flick of her finger, a blade of wind flew across the room and instantly shredded the guards head into mush. Purplish black blood sprayed out and the guard was dead.
Fera slowly sat up and eyed the other guards who now shook in dread. She then repeated.
“Did I tell anyone to come!”
Before the guards could ask for forgiveness, Fera flicked her finger once more and an even larger wind blade swept out and tore through the dozen or so guards, instantly reducing them to puddles of meat mush and liquid foulness.
With all of her nearby guards dead, Fera inhaled deeply. As she did, magic energy began to enter her body from all around. The black burnt skin cracked and fell apart. In its place, supple beautifully smooth skin grew as she healed in seconds. The pain from her mind had only lasted seconds but it had been more than enough for Fera to realize a truth.
(That damn Glacious. He has some hidden power that can crush my mental energy. He forced my mind back to my original body and the blow was so much that it actually caused me to lose control for a moment. Not just him but that Garn fellow, the barrier protecting his palace was thousands of times better than my own palaces. It was so tough that I couldn’t break through it. Had I been there in the flesh I would have destroyed it in an instant but using that fake body I could only draw out about 10% of my power.)
After Fera healed she looked at the burning palace around her and rolled her eyes. With a wave of her hand, the fire raging around the palace as well as outside of it was quelled and snuffed out just like that. Grabbing a robe made from golden silk, she threw it on before taking a step forward. Her body blurred and she appeared before a large metal door with two stars on it, one black the other gold. Going inside, Fera sat down on her throne and slammed the doors shut.
(This way I won’t be disturbed.)
Fera squeezed a black compass around her neck, her anger rising once more.
(I should have killed Kazuki as soon as I arrived. Instead, I was actually mocked by a fucking lizard, a weakening one at that. Not just him, that fucking wolf interfered, Garn and his palace, and even my good for nothing pawns died.)
Fera sat in the meditative position and quietly began to float, a vile grin upon her lips.
(One strike…I’ll end it all in a single move. I simply need to avoid the lizard and pup as well as that ugly palace. Little brother, did you think such a small set back would stop me. I’ll fucking be there momentarily Kazuki, wait for me.)
Fera slowly shut her eyes and tried to divide her mind into two.
*AHHHHH!*
As soon as she tried to split her consciousness, she was hit with agonizing pain. This one was bad and felt like dozens of needles stabbed her brain all at once. Fera felt her magic become unstable for an instant but she was able to stop it from going out of control like before.
Her eyes snapped open and she sensed her body. She could feel that she had taken more damage than she initially thought.
(Damn those bastards. Do they think this will stop me, nothing will stop me from taking Kazuki’s life as well as his compass.)
Fera slammed her eyes shut once more and grit her teeth. She forcefully divided her consciousness, while suffering. Before she sent her mind forward, she held it there for a moment. The pain gradually started to build up and she felt her magic becoming unstable. She remained there for a moment bearing the pain while focusing on controlling her magic but after about 20 seconds, her mind was forcefully pulled back into her own body.
Fera found this unexpected and her face was pale. She didn’t try to bring that part of her mind back but her body recalled it without her control. Not only that, she felt a hint of fatigue as well. She should be full of strength after healing. Being at the 7th stage, fatigue was something that should never happen yet she felt physically tired.
(Even at my level, the mind is still bound to the body and vice versa. Even if I can send my mind away from my actual body, the two are still linked together like a chain. At this rate, I can only send out part of my mind for less than 30 seconds before my body forcefully snaps back. What the fuck did that lizard do?)
Fera contemplated going right now or waiting for her mind to fully recover. In the end, now was the best opportunity. If Kazuki fled, now that she could no longer track, the aura coming from his compass, she would have no way of finding him. If he hid away somewhere, Fera didn’t doubt the growth he would have with time.
(If I wait until my mind’s right, That little bastard could tuck himself away and grow. I have to kill him right now, otherwise, I’ll always look at the shadows around me in doubt.)
After several minutes of weighing the pros and cons, Fera had little choice.
“Fuck it, a little pain to deal with Kazuki, I’ve endured far worse and come so far. Pain will not stop me from my goals.”
Fera shut her eyes once more. Enduring the pain, part of her mind raced across the great ocean, through the ever-expanding sky, and stretched over the Feya continent.

Right after Fera was forced back by Glacious’s attack, Etora was all smiles as well as a few tears. He ran over to Glacious and embraced him, picking him up he swung him around a few times before Glacious punched him on his head.
“Why are you acting so lively and weird!?”
Etora rubbed his head and laughed.
“I was worried. I mean, of course, I knew you would be fine, your my big bro after all. I’m just excited to see you again, hehe.”
Glacious knew how Etora felt and sighed.
“A physical battle, did you really think I’d lose. You’re not off though. Taking her magic as well as my own fused magic, I didn’t expect I would have to do that but if I didn’t half of this continent would be underwater at the moment.”
Etora nodded repeatedly.
“So that’s what happened. You took your own attack and hers combined so the continent wouldn’t be under the ocean. That’s big bro for ya!”
Glacious shook his head.
“I was a fool. I shouldn’t have used such magic in the first place and I should have thought of using the sword forms earlier. If I cut through her magic at the start and shown her it was pointless to use it, she would have been forced to only use physical attacks.”
Etora nodded along.
“That’s right! If you would have transformed into your dragon form you would have taken her down in an instant. Why didn’t you do that from the beginning, ah!”
As soon as he said that, Etora knew he had made a mistake and he quickly shut his mouth. Glacious couldn’t transform because his real body required a tremendous amount of magic. In his weakened state, as soon as he transforms into his real form and starts attracting the elements, the ugly lion-dog face mark within would awaken and devour. For that to happen during a battle, it wouldn’t be strange for Glacious to die.
Etora unconsciously peaked up at the palace above to see if Garn had noticed his slip up but how could he see that through palace walls.
Glacious as well turned to the palace above.
“I thought I told you not to return to my territory, Garn.”
