Glacious didn’t understand how Kazuki knew his godchild and asked Etora to explain it properly.
“Etora what is this situation?”
“See big bro, this is why I told you you’re too impatient. Had you waited a few moments before running off to confront Garn you’d know what I do.”
Etora wagged his finger but he could see his scolding was unappreciated and he chuckled.
*Hehe*
“Nevermind. It’s simple really. When Garn first arrived and you felt his presence. You discreetly went ahead to see who was so bold as to enter your territory. As soon as you got there though you said you felt weaker presences and noticed that one of them had nearly the same smell as our little sis Lamia. You recognized her scent right away and knew she was Lamia’s kid so you brought all of those weaklings including her that had her scent on them. Well everyone except Kazuki that is but you couldn’t smell him anyway as he was already sealed within Garn’s barrier.”
Glacious’s brows rose.
“Why are you telling me things I already know?”
Etora pointed behind Glacious at Kazuki.
“They seemed interested as well so I filled them in too.”
“Ok whatever, get to how you knew they knew one another.”
“Hmm, well as soon as you dropped them off here and ran ahead again, Nunully began to cry and she simply said Kazuki was still out there. I recognized the name. It’s not exactly common around these parts. I wasn’t for sure if it was the same person and I grew curious. That’s the whole reason I followed you out. When I saw it was Garn and saw Kazuki was being held by him I knew right away it was the same Kazuki Nunully spoke of. Oh yeah sorry about taring part of your array so I could step out but you know I can’t use space magic like you, so I had to open a door someway. By the way, you should really get a door so we can enter and leave at any time. Traveling in and out of this place is just too inconvenient.”
Glacious rolled his eyes as Etora started to go on a tangent.
“Why in the 7 realms of hell would I make it easier for people to come and go in my place. Any vagabond that’s above the 5ths stage will think they can just walk around as they please. No chance.”
As soon as there was a break in their conversation, Kazuki cut in respectfully. Cupping his fists, he bowed to both Glacious and Etora.
“Thank you seniors for saving my friends as well as me.”
Glacious appreciated the politeness but Etora waved it away.
“Boy do you still not recognize me. It should be me thanking you. DO you really not remember who I am.”
Recalling the exchange Etora and Garn had, Kazuki thought it might be the creature he freed from Iselda. The night he and Nunully escaped from that floating prison, Kazuki had wandered down the wrong path and helped a pleading prisoner. At the time he didn’t really know why he had helped this person or if it was even a person at all. Maybe he did it out of kindness or maybe he did it to get back at Garn. He himself wasn’t sure. Kazuki asked just to be sure.
“I’m not certain but are you the one I helped in Iselda?”
*Snap*
Etora snapped his fingers and smiled.
“Ding ding ding, yep that’s me kid. I know its hard to recognize me but as you probably recall I was starving in that place. Not enough energy. Not that I’m out and about, I’ve recovered completely. Just look at these beautiful muscles of mine.”
Etora ripped his shirt sleeves off and started flexing. The man was around 7 feet tall but his figure was slim so he wasn’t bulging with muscles but every muscle that could be seen was toned perfectly. Kazuki didn’t want to insult the man so he just nodded along.
“Senior, at that time I honestly thought you were a ghost or something, glad to see I was wrong.”
“Hahaha, I can’t die that easily. Nearly 20 years without food definitely sucks but it all worked out in the end, thanks to you that is.”
“I can’t believe that you were actually a human though, even your voice is much more masculine.”
At the time, Kazuki couldn’t tell if the voice belonged to a male or female but seeing Etora, he was definitely a man.
Etora threw back his head in laughter.
“Bwahahahahaha. That was a trick. I was actually trying to make my self sound like a girl to earn your sympathy to get freed but that voice was as light as I could go. Thankfully though, you just helped me and there was really no need for it, hehehe. As for being human…well, hehehe.”
Kazuki didn’t know what that last part meant but seeing as how he didn’t appear to be alive back then and yet still managed to survive for 20 years without food, Kazuki knew he couldn’t fully be human. He found it odd though that Etora would walk around looking just like one though.
Also, Kazuki understood Etora’s line of thinking. Kazuki also had to use a trick on the information officer so he could free himself. At least Etora didn’t have ill intent like Kazuki did when escaping. The information officer Itsu wasn’t so lucky because of this.
Glacious also gave a slight bow.
“Kazuki was it, I wish to thank you as well. I hadn’t seen my little brother in so long and I actually thought he might have forgotten about me but it turns out he was imprisoned by Garn. Thank You.”
“Eh, big bro, you thought I abandoned you? Never, you and little sis, no one means more to me, nothing means more to me.”
“Thank you Etora. You as well. You and little sis mean the world to me. Your all the family I have left.”
Glacious looked at Nunully.
“Actually that’s not so true anymore now, is it. With young Nunully here, It seems my family has now expanded by one.”
Nunully didn’t know what to say to that but she was thankful toward Glacious for saving Kazuki and the others and bowed.
“Little girl, there’s no need to lower yourself, we are now family. As a matter of fact, this home is now your home as well, so really, lift your head.”
Nunully did as told and smiled brightly at Glacious.
“Thank you, godfather.”
“Alright, enough with the sappiness. I’m feeling a bit hungry after that slight warm-up and could use a snack. Kazuki as well looks to be in a miserable state. Let’s head back so you can rest.”
Etora and Mei hearing the word snack jumped simultaneously and shouted.
“Yay a snack!”
The two looked at one another and exchanged a laugh with each other. Glacious on the other hand shook his head.
“Etora, how can you act the exact same as a small child. You hear food and you jump around like a puppy, grow up a little.”
“Hehehe, sorry big bro.”

While walking up a long pathway, Nunully on his right hooked her arm tightly around Kazuki’s and Mei on the left found this fun and did the same.
Etora and Glacious were slightly behind the three following along, trying not to disturb the young one’s bright atmosphere.
It only took a few minutes until a large house came into sight. The house was made entirely of wood and was in no way fancy but instead looked comfy and homely. Kazuki was expecting to see a mansion or something. Garn had repeatedly mentioned that Glacious was a dragon slayer and Glacious himself had implied that he was a dragon but how could such a house, hold a dragon.
Approaching the door, Glacious opened the door and welcomed them all inside.
“Welcome to my humble home.”
As soon as Kazuki stepped in, his eyes went wide.
The outside of the house resembled something akin to an old country home but the inside was like a palace. The outside seemed to be only a single story but once inside, the ceiling stretched up nearly 100 feet and this was the first floor. A grand staircase laid before them and led to the second floor and from here, Kazuki could see the ceiling went even higher.
The house stretched outward and was massive. The floors were made of marble and large portraits hung on every wall. Four statues made entirely of gold stood in each corner of the room and stretched up to the ceiling until their backs touched. It was as though they were holding up the entire room on said backs. Within the eyes of the statues were red jewels the same color of blood, giving the statues an eerily like feel but it wasn’t a detraction from the room at all.
In the center of it all was a floating chandelier made entirely of magical gold enlaced with crystals of the purest kind. They shined and shimmered beautifully both lighting and enhancing the room further.
(This looks better then what a king palace would have. Glacious was serious when he said that gold was useless to him. These statues alone could buy a small country.)
Kazuki was awed by the wealth around him but he wasn’t stuck in his thought for long as someone came racing down the stairs before tackling Kazuki to the ground.
“Young Hero!”
Kazuki let out a small groan of pain but the very next moment he noticed his hands were filled with a soft sensation. Looking up at the face of the one who tackled him, Kazuki smiled.
“Lamia.”
