Kazuki felt a lump in his throat as his body poured with beads of sweat. His heart was beating so fast and loud, that he wouldn’t be surprised if it exploded at any moment.

(What the fuck did I just see!? That thing was hundreds of feet tall and it had a mouth bigger than a house. I should have died. I should have but that cave…Something inside was a threat to even that big ass monster.)

Kazuki was on edge as he thought about what just happened.

(That wind that came from the cave wasn’t normal at all. As soon as it came out a weird suppression followed…Wait that heavy feeling…that was aura!)

Kazuki thought the feeling was familiar but he was too terrified to put two and two together. He had experienced that feeling several times before, from Glacious and Etora but to a lesser extent.

(Teacher and Etora have released their aura around me a few times before but the one coming from the cave was many times greater. Does that mean the thing inside is stronger than even Glacious?)

Kazuki shook his head.

(That can’t be. Glacious mentioned the strongest being down here was a Titan. There’s no way I just came across the strongest creature and I just walked away, did I?)

Kazuki wanted it to be a lie but there was no other explanation.

(It must have released its aura because of the monster outside of its cave. It didn’t save me on purpose, rather that monster came far too close to the Titan’s layer. It released its aura not for me but as a deterrent for the monster to not approach any closer. That’s the only thing that makes sense. The monster outside of the cave must have become terrified and fled due to the aura, that’s the only thing I can come up with.)

*BANG!*

A loud crash sounded on the surface above. Something incredibly heavy landed on the ground and as the sound reached Kazuki’s ears a flash of an image entered his head causing his eyes to widen.

(Why!… Why is it here!?)

Kazuki instinctively held his breath and began to circulate his ki to slow his heart rate to a crawl.

Outside on the surface, a large creature stood perfectly still as it scanned its surroundings.

(Did it follow me…Of course it fucking did! It pretended to flee from the Titan and waited for me.)

Kazuki remained silent and expanded his hearing with his ki.

Nothing.

He couldn’t hear it whatsoever but he knew it was still there. Its body was so incredibly big and heavy that he would hear it kick off the ground and fly away were it to leave.

(It must not have noticed me when I crawled into this hole and only knows my general location. Otherwise, it would have already torn up the ground and plucked me out like a potato.)

*SNIFF SNIFF*

A gush of wind rushed up toward the sky as the large beast sniffed at the air.

Kazuki looked down at his clothes that were soaked in sweat and became pale as a sheet of paper.

(Is it smelling my sweat, Is that how it tracked me here?)

*SNIFF SNIFF*

Kazuki felt the ground tremble slightly before.

*Bang*

It took a step toward him. The creature was so large that this single step closed the distance between the two by over half.

(I have to get rid of this smell now but how…The blood!)

Kazuki concentrated on the godly aura within him and seeping out of the compass. While still holding his breath and suppressing his heartbeat, he controlled the aura and let the Aziran blood run rampant for a few seconds. The blood replicated rapidly and flooded his body. Kazuki felt his insides boil and could feel his innards crying out as the azirian blood began to corrode his organs, muscles, and bones.

(This should be more than enough.)

Kazuki moved his ki and forced most of the Aziiran blood out of his pores all at once. Purplish black blood came out like hot sticky gloopy soup and covered his body. Kazuki quickly started to rub it all over himself, his face his neck, any place that was left uncovered he rubbed it in with spirit.

The foul smell stung Kazuki’s nose but this bit of sour stench was a godsend at the moment.

Kazuki continued to hold his breath and listened quietly once more.

*SNIFF SNIFF SNIFFFFFFFF*

The world seemed to go silent once more and it felt like the monster finally gave up when…

*Click clack click clack*

Not too far from Kazuki’s hiding spot, a group of clackers came racing over.

(Not now, why?)

Kazuki took only a second to answer his own question.

(It’s the blood. These fucking bugs must be attracted to the smell of blood.)

The clackers came over towards the entrance of Kazuki’s small cave and began to rub their legs together even more. Kazuki remained perfectly still within the hole as to not be detected by their sensitive ear but that only seemed to make the clackers more excited. With all of that blood smell leaking out and with no movement, they must have thought of this as something dead and therefore an easy meal.

A few clackers began to bump into the boulder blocking the entrance in curiosity. They could detect the blood inside but their path was blocked.

(Fuckiing Clackers! just go away already!)

A small bug leg made its way through the gap of the boulder and entrance and wiggled around with interest. Kazuki didn’t know what to do until he remembered the tiny puddle at the end of this cave. Using the godly aura to once more suppress the Azirian blood, Kazuki was able to move freely once more.

He slowly crawled on his stomach and made not a single sound. He laid in front of the tiny puddle that smelled acidic and plucked out a single hair from his head. Dropping it in the foul-smelling water, his hair instantly dissolved.

(This water really is acidic.)

Kazuki coated his hands with ki and slowly lowered them into the acidic water.

*Tsssss*

the acid tore through his ki covered hand and burnt him. Thankfully he was quick enough to take his hand away and only lost the skin on his hands and nothing more. He could heal that easily and only needed to deal with it. This didn’t stop Kazuki’s determination, especially with the boulder starting to move back and forth.

Kazuki’s mind raced.

He grabbed the broken black ruler around his wrist and began to fill it with ki.

(This thing is made of incredibly tough material like Sam’s Heisho armor. It should be able to handle this acidic water, right?)

He remembered how it had broken from the wall but he had to try.

Kazuki gently dipped one end of the black ruler into the acid very slowly.

The expected fizzle didn’t occur.

(Yes, this will work.)

With his ki filling the broken black ruler, Kazuki used one of its unique abilities and changed its shape. He made its form change to something similar to a large ladle at first and scooped up the entirety of the puddle. A few seconds later a drop of acidic water gathered at the ceiling of the cave and when it became heavy enough it fell where the puddle used to be.

Kazuki didn’t care about that for now and was focused on changing the ruler’s shape once more. Kazuki imagined a cup and the ruler followed suit. He shaped the top until it was almost entirely closed at the head. With his quick thinking, Kazuki made something similar to a water bottle with a tiny opening. He kept pumping his ki into the water bottle so he could freely change its shape at will and carefully crawled over to the entrance of the cave without spilling a single drop.

One of the legs still poked in between the open gaps of the entrance and Kazuki aimed the bottle at said leg. Giving the bottle a gentle squeeze, the contents were forced through the tiny opening on the bottle which acted like a jet stream or a water gun.

*TSsshhhh*

As soon as the acidic water shot out, it splashed on both the boulder and the clacker’s leg and a little even came flying back a little at Kazuki. Kazuki rolled out of the way like an idiot with quick reflexes, bumping his head into the wall of the cave but still managing to not spill any of it. Kazuki escaped unharmed from the acidic water but the bug on the other hand was not so lucky.

Its legs melted off at a rapid rate and fell on the ground. Not even a second later and the leg was nothing but a puddle of nasty smelling sticky goo on the ground.

The clacker at the entrance freaked out and jumped away. It kept clicking and clacking its legs in a panic. Whether it was a cry of pain or a warning to the others Kazuki didn’t know but what he did know is he wouldn’t give them a chance to find out.

Extending the neck of the bottle, he pushed it through the gap of the entrance that had now grown slightly larger from the boulder melting a bit, and with precise aim, he squeezed.

*Tshhh tssshhhh tsshhhh*

The acidic water sprayed out like a jet stream and hit 3 more of the clackers. These 3 clackers were all hit on their weaknesses rather than a leg. the acid entered their cone-shaped ears and they fell over immediately and melted down to puddles.

Kazuki smiled fiendishly.

(To kill these things with such ease. If only I had this thing before.)

*SNIFF SNIFF*

Kazuki froze on the spot as the direction of the wind changed and flew upward.

*Bang*

*FWAP FWAP*

(It left.)

Right after it left, the clackers fled. They couldn’t tell where the enemy was and they were being killed, it was only natural for them to run away.

The large monster observing seconds ago finally decided to leave and the clackers were now gone as well. Kazuki didn’t know if it was due to the smell of the blood all over his body, the display of the clackers in front of him, or the introduction of the acidic water but one thing was for certain, Kazuki… for now was safe and he had no energy to care about anything else at the moment.
