The wind whistled past Kazuki’s ears as he fled at high speed. There were no fancy movements, no zigs nor zags, or any tricks of any kind. To get as far away as possible, Kazuki hammered his feet into the ground and kicked away just as hard and as fast as possible. Pure speed was the name of the game and straight as an arrow was the focusing point.

*ROARRRRRRRRRRRR!*

The beast roared in the distance. The noise exploded out like thunder and Kazuki’s eardrums burst open as soon as the sound reached him. The pain, while terrible was nothing compared to death if he stopped. Ignoring the roar behind him, Kazuki only forced himself to stomp the ground harder and faster as he ran ahead.

Every time he kicked off the ground, he flew forward nearly 50 feet before he landed on the ground and kicked off once more. It had only been a few seconds but Kazuki was already over a mile away. In the distance, he could see an opening on the side of the cliff and his eyes widened.

(THE CAVE!)

The cave that released the heavy aura was not too far away. At this moment, Kazuki made a decision. Deep inside, the only thing that could scare off the goat-headed monster, a Titan lay within. The options were only two. Get eaten by the creature behind him or the unknown in front. One would chase him down to the ends of the dark world while the other was a complete mystery.

(If I enter that cave, I’ll have to deal with the aura that passes through it every 37 seconds. As long as I fold my aura over top myself and make multiple layers, the aura blowing out from there won’t crush me all the way. I just need to withstand it until the monster gets scared away by the aura or gets bored waiting for me. Either way, it should eventually leave. I just need to make it there and hang on until then. I can do this. I can make it.)

Kazuki now had a plan. Enter the cave, create layers of aura over himself, and defend himself from the wave of suppressing aura that would flow every half a minute or so. As long as he could wait it out, he could escape the monster chasing him. He thought about the Titan deep within and remembered what Glacious had said. As long as you don’t bother a Titan, they in return will not bother with you. SO although he would enter the Titan’s lair, as long as he didn’t disturb the Titan, he should be fine. Kazuki didn’t know if this was true or not but at the moment it was the only way he could think of surviving this.

*BANG!*

The ground trembled beneath Kazuki’s feet as a loud explosion rang out in the distance. Kazuki didn’t wish to look behind him, he really didn’t but a cold spine chilling feeling ran up his back. Peering behind him for no more than an instant, Kauzki’s vision was filled with a crazy sight. Up in the air, hundreds upon hundreds of Clackers were flying in every direction uncontrollably.

Not only that, the spot where the monster was covered was now completely clear. The only thing left behind was a large crater.

*Fwap Fwap Fwap*

The sound of huge wings slapping against the air rang out from above. Before Kazuki could even look above him.

*Bang*

It landed directly in front of him. Staring at Kazuki with its huge soulless eyes or rather eye, now that one was ruined by the needles Kazuki had left behind in it.

Kazuki was still racing ahead and was about to run directly into the beast. Extending his broken ruler, he changed his direction on the spot and launched himself backward. This creature no longer was playing and wasting time. As soon as Kazuki shot himself backward, the creature launched forward and grabbed the end of Kazuki’s broken ruler and pulled it in.

(Shit!)

Kazuki changed its weight until it weighed over 10,000 pounds. The added weight had no effect and didn’t slow it for even an instant. Instead, it pulled the broken ruler in faster and faster like it was reeling in a fish called Kazuki.

Kazuki was forced to let go of his ruler. As soon as he let go, the ruler lost its power and returned to its original size. The creature took the black ruler and chucked it into its large mouth, swallowing it easily.

“DAMN BASTARD! STAY AWAY FROM ME!”

The monster in response to Kazuki’s insult smiled at him cruelly. It began flapping its wings and with it came a huge torrent of wind.

*FWHOOSH FWHOOSH FWHOOSH*

Kazuki was thrown off the ground and was tossed into the air toward the spikes on the cliff wall. He could feel his adrenaline pumping like crazy as death was near.

Kazuki grabbed the rubber rope off of his waist and looped one end of it. He threw it to the side and caught a boulder sticking out from the ground. Kazuki hung onto his rope for dear life. Pulling himself in, he reached the end of his rope, and forcing ki into the tips of his finger, he buried them deep within the boulder itself and clung to it like a cat.

The monster seeing this leaped into the air and flew directly above Kazuki. The direction of the wind changed and the force blowing him backward become a downward force and as though gravity increased several folds, Kazuki went from being blown away to being crushed under it.

The goat-headed monster continued to flap its wings and the pressure upon Kazuki’s body didn’t let up. Kazuki was forced on all fours. He quickly circulated his ki all throughout his body to resist this outside force. A the same time, he used his own aura and covered his body with it and the pressure lightened a bit. Folding his aura over top itself, Kazuki made layer after layer, doubling it, tripling it.

(A little more and I can move freely again.)

With the monster above Kazuki, it unknowingly opened a path for him. Kazuki could see the cave and with a few jumps, he could make it inside.

Kazuki still had to keep a little aura to suppress the Azirian blood inside him. In order to break away from the beast, he still needed more though. He began to control the godly aura seeping from his golden compass. he started to interweave it with his own as though he were braiding rope. Suddenly his own aura began to strengthen by leap and bounds. The pressure from the wind felt like 10,s of thousands of pounds overtop him but now that was reduced by half in an instant.

Kazuki didn’t stop there. He continued to interweave the godly aura within his own and the layers of aura protecting him instead of making more began to become denser, more compact.

The pressure lessened again and Kazuki could feel strength return to his legs and back.

(MOARE MORE MORE!)

Kazuki’s instincts began to scream out for survival. His will became law and the godly aura poured more energy into his own.

Kazuki felt the power in his body and he slowly stood upright.

(I can do this!)

Just as he was about to make a run for it, the monster above became enraged. and came crashing down from above.

The air pushing down above Kazuki suddenly disappeared and Kazuki knew this was his opportunity to run but before he could, the monster’s foot grew in his vision.

*BAM*

Kazuki felt the air crush out of him as the monster stood on top of him. It knew its strength though and didn’t crush Kazuki into a meat paste. It kept just enough weight on Kazuki so he couldn’t move.

“ME IZ strongest not U! U lies ta me, u triks me!”

The creature then lifted its foot. Kazuki tried to move but he could tell many things were broken inside and he could gather no strength before the moister scooped him up by an arm. Kazuki once again was dangling in front of the monster. How he wished he didn’t use up all his needles last time or maybe gathered more. If he could take out another eye, maybe he could have a chance, maybe he could make it to the Titan’s cave.

Kazuki was a mix of anger, regret, fear, and pain but he only showed his anger at the moment as he spoke through gritted teeth.

“BEAST! RELEASE ME!”

The goat-headed monster only smiled more cruelly as it shook its head back and forth.

“Me told ya, if Iz lose den Iz gona eats ya. Eveen dou u cheats me still lost, so me has ta eats ya, hehehe.”

“Make no mistake you piece of shit. If you eat me…you will regret it. This I swear.”

The monster slowly lifted Kazuki up above its head. Licking its lips repeatedly it said.

“Tanks for da meal.”

It then opened its large mouth.

“YOU BASTAR…”

*CHOMP!*

Before Kazuki could finish his sentence, the creature bit down and swallowed.

The only thing left behind was an arm coated in blood.

The monster looked at the arm a little disappointed.

“Tasted gud but he wuz a smol snacks.”

Looking at Kazuki’s arm, the creature shrugged its shoulders and opened its mouth once more before throwing Kazuki’s bloodied arm in as well.
