Opening his eyes, Kazuki left his soul world and had now returned. Inside he had spent over an over or so while in the real world, not even a minute had passed. Gathering his aura around his body, he remembered the sensation and feeling of the wind and with that deep feeling, he willed his aura forth.

A small gush of wind kicked up following this. Oren watched on with mild surprise.

(“Ya actually managed to figure it out so quickly. It still seems slightly unstable though. Focus on that container of water. As ya continue to mimic wind with your aura, try and lift it without spilling the water.”)

Kazuki took in a deep breath and targeted the large jug of water. It was fairly large and with it still holding water, it weighed several hundred pounds. Kazuki’s aura shaped like the wind circled and danced around the heavy container.

At first the wind he made simply banged and crashed into the jug wildly. Kazuki focused and used the experience he attained from Danny to hone in on his control, making it more and more precise as time went on. After a few minutes, the wind he controlled no longer simply crashed against the container but glided and hit its surface seemingly randomly.

(“Don’t just bash ya power against it. Wind can be used for more than heavy-hitting and pushes. Let it flow and rise up. Not naturally but under ya own control.”)

Kazuki took Oren’s words to heart and guided the wind with even more precision. The container began to rock back and forth because of this but still, he could not lift it.

Kazuki stopped for a moment. Oren was about to ask him why he quit but he could see Kazuki was working the problem out and decided not to break his concentration or thought process.

(More…More control. Just like when I draw a branch, I need to feel every movement. I need to slow it down. This way I can feel the flaws of my actions more thoroughly and fix them on the spot.)

Kazuki took another deep breath before slowly releasing it.

*PHUuuuu*

Once more he stretched out his aura and made mimic the wind. At the same time, he extended some of his ki and made a thin layer of it cover the entire jug of water. As he controlled the wind and circulated around the jug, he got feedback directly from his ki on the surface of the jug. His ki was a better tool for sensing than even his aura. Kazuki had simply used ki for far too long that it was as real as his limbs were. With his aura, he could also sense things but Kazuki had only been using aura for a few months so even though both could be used as sensory abilities, his ki was far superior in that department.

As his aura wind touched upon his ki and in return moved the jug, the feedback Kazuki received from this was multiplied. He got information from both his aura as well as his ki and therefore found the flaws he knew were there at a fast rate.

As this happened, Kazuki began to put things together. The jug rocked slightly from Kazuki’s impact.

(So it’s not just about the wind but also the object it connects with. The object obviously has weight, but because it is not a perfect object the balance of its weight is in different places. A move to the upper part of it can drastically change in which place the object moves. Not only that, the water within the jug changes and sloshes about due to my wind, and the shape of the jug also plays a factor. When my wind touches it, the water moves alongside the curves of the jug in accordance with its form. The variables change every time my wind touches it and like a domino effect, my one action causes a multitude of reactions on both the surface of the object as well as inside of it. In order to overcome that, I need to stabilize the inside of the object. If nothing moves within, then controlling it becomes that much easier.)

With this thought, Kazuki changed up tactics. Some of his aura directly penetrated the jug and using the pressure of his aura he held down the water and didn’t allow it to move, making it as steady as a rock. By doing this, he didn’t have to worry about the weight shifting constantly inside the object. At the same time, the flow of wind changed as well. Instead f a bashing effect, Kazuki made his wind flow around the jug at a slow rate before he began to add more power thereby increasing the speed of the wind. As the wind sped up, he changed the course into that of an updraft, and with it, the jug shot into the air.

*Smash*

Kazuki used too much wind too quickly and the jug crashed into the ceiling and shattered into many pieces, which in turn caused water to splashdown and cover Kazuki from head to toe in the water. A tiny orichalcum metal pebble rolled along the floor.

Oren watched his cell and broke out into wild laughter.

(“Bwahahahaha, I never said to break the damn thing but I get it, ya got overly excited. Still, I told ya not to spill any water and ya spilled it all. I don’t know whether to congratulate ya or fail ya right here and now.”)

Oren was in a good mood. He felt like a genius teaching another genius. He had explained things to Kazuki but he never expected Kazuki to actually lift the jug in only a few moments after he went over everything. Little did he know, Kazuki already had practiced within his soul world. Still, Oren might consider Kazuki a genius if he knew Kazuki had only practiced for roughly an hour.

Kazuki as well felt excitement as many possibilities and paths opened for him.

(If I can control it better, can’t I use my aura to fly. If I can lift a jug weighing a few hundred pounds then I should be able to lift myself with it no problem. I can then fly the fuck out of this underground shit hole once and for all and return to the surface. To actually be able to return.)

Kazuki had no home but the feeling of homesickness hit him.

*CLANK*

Oren used his aura to throw some of the shattered remains of the food plater at Kazuki’s feet, snapping him out of his thoughts.

(“Use ya aura to mimic the wind once again. This time use it to lift different weighing objects and this time do it without destroying anything. Once ya can do that, we can move on to the next step, and then I’ll teach ya my attack. With that, ya might just be able to kill my son.”)

Kazuki started practicing once again. Sometimes he failed and sometimes he succeeded. Like this, the days passed in quick succession and the third day had arrived in the blink of an eye.

*Rumble*
Hearing the ceiling move about, Oren knew what time it was.

(“Kazuki, it looks like ya match has come. Make sure ya don’t lose to that piece of shit, ya hear me.”)

Kazuki gave a nod.

“I understand what to do. I don’t plan on taking a loss, at least not today.”

The two shared a knowing smile before the ceiling above them shook as though a small stampede were happening overhead. The ceiling made of orichalcum peeled away like paper and both Kazuki and Oren along with the shackles and walls they were attached to raised up out of the ground until they were surface level with the city.

The two looked around curiously to see a line of soldiers and them at the foot of the palace.

Sensing more than a hundred Adrola apes lined up perfectly, each one with large protruding horned spikes, standing 15 feet tall covered in armor was quite the scene to take in. Kazuki got chills and an itch inside made him one to fight them all at once. They with their orichalcum weapons and armor and he with his strength and skills, he wondered who would win when it came down to it.

He knew he couldn’t break their armor or stand too many blows from their weapons but with his speed, he was sure he could evade them, and with the openings in their armor he was sure he could pierce their flesh with his fist and kill them all in one strike apiece.

Kazuki felt his blood start to boil as he yearned to test his powers upon them.

It was at this time that the large doors to the palace opened. Two more lines of soldiers headed out from the palace. In the middle of them all, there he was.

Standing around 20 feet tall, bulging with muscles, an orichalcum crown atop his head, and armor wrapping his body with a perfect fit, Groud had appeared.
