Return of the Fallen Volume 8 Chapter 52

From one to three to now four. Four powerful figures that had the potential to overturn the continent and drown it beneath the ocean, all four had gathered in a desolate place.

Glacious was about to fight against King Azar and King Berus but just before battle erupted, Fera materialized one of her fake bodies right in front of them.

Opening her mouth made from rock, a booming voice filled with condescension echoed out.

“So, the animals finally decided to make a move. Good, I was starting to grow bored.”

Even though this fake body of hers was weaker than those present, and even though they all saw her as an enemy. Still, she spoke with zero fear and instead held nothing but mockery in her tone.

King Berus could feel his anger rising up.

“Just when I was about to destroy Glacious, another bug shows its ugly head. Usually, I would pay no heed to such an insignificant human such as you but that arrogance and tone of yours is even worse than Glacious’s.”

Glacious took in the sight of Fera’s arrival and he began to grow anxious.

(Damn, With the two kings present, things would be difficult but It’s no guarantee that I would lose. With one of Fera’s artificial bodies here, things will be difficult and will run long, far too long. I don’t have time for this. I need to crush Garn before he harms Nunully. I have to speed things up. As soon as there is an opening, I’ll go all out and then make a reak for it.)

Glacious didn’t have many cards to play in this situation but that didn’t mean e would just rollover.

“Isn’t this interesting. Out of everyone here, I’m the only one who wants none of this. I don’t want to rule nor do I want to this continent. It is you three who wish to take over everything and it should be you three who fights for it, yet I’m being dragged into this mess. How laughable.”

Berus snorted.

“Bull shit. One can not reach our heights and not covet the power to rule all. You want this world just as much as the next. There’s no way you wouldn’t. If not, why would you be fighting now. Is it not because you want the world to be how you wish it. If your enemies were dead, this world would be reshaped in your own image. That’s another thing I absolutely hate about you Glacious. You act righteous but deep down you’re actually greedy, greedy just like all of us. Except we have the balls to admit it, while you cower beneath a mask of fakeness. Why not just admit it in your final moments and let me see who you really are.”

“Is that what you believe. Between you two kings, you Berus are most definitely the dumb one. I’ve only ever wanted to be left alone. It is outside forces that continue to pull me into chaos. You the dumb beast king or him or even her. All of you just can’t be happy with what you have and act like spoiled children. Why the fuck would you want to rule over a continent in the first place. As I said, I have no wish for that. Leave me out of this. You want the land take it all for all I care.”

Glacious took a step back as if he were about to leave but Berus quickly moved to block him.

“Where do you think you’re going lizard?”

Glacious glared at Berus.

“I really have no need to fight you, either of you. The one who stands in your way of ruling this place is none other than her. Deal with her and afterward if you still wish to fight then so be it. For now, get out of my way.”

Berus’s aura began to rise like a mountain. Glacious patience was wearing thin. He wanted to try and get the kings to fight the queen and make his retreat but Berus would not see reason. Glacious’s own arura began to rise and spread out.

Fera laughed watching this.

“Hehe, so pathetic. Who did you say wishes to rule over this place? Maybe they wish it but not this one.”

Berus turned to Fera.

“What was that bitch!?”

Fera did not like those words and a green glow began to surround her. The gravity in her vicinity increased nearly a thousandfold in an instant.

“What did you just call me?”

King Berus felt a twitch in his muscles before his aura protected him and he was unaffected. he didn’t expect such an increase in gravity so quickly but after the initial surprise he grew more confident.

(She has a great deal of magic but with that body, she isn’t dangerous to me.)

“You heard me bitch. You say I’m pathetic but then you lie about not wanting the Feya continent. For what other reason would you invade my land and even use those filthy Azirian’s. Not only those things but if my guess is correct, you have some way of controlling the Miasma as well, don’t even try and deny it. All of these things, if your goal wasn’t to take over Feya, then I’m a fucking shit stain goose.”

Fera threw her rock-like head backward and erupted in wild laughter.

*BWAHAHAHAHA*

“I must say, you are both dumb but not dumb at the same time. How is this possible for you to be correct on some things while being completely wrong on others. Right. I won’t deny it, the Azirian’s follow my will and even the Miasma can be lead around if one knows how but again, this stupid piece of land is the last thing I’m interested in. So, I guess it’s nice to meet you, king of the south or rather you fucking shit stain goose as you proclaimed.”

King Azar and Glacious both felt something was wrong with Fera’s statement or rather they both picked up some things that didn’t align with what they initially thought.

Berus was about to crush Fera into fragments of dust but Azar stopped him.

“Don’t you dare and try and stop me Azar. This bitch insults me again and again. She will die here and now!”

Azar though put an arm in front of Berus.

“Wait a moment. Have you forgotten our own goals? Besides, if she doesn’t want the continent that may make things easier for us both.”

King Azar turned his attention back to Fera.

“You’ve come here with some intentions, that much is obvious. If not, you would have attacked from the beginning. I assume you want something from us two kings. You mentioned you didn’t wish to have or rule over Feya, then that means that we are not enemies. The thing you must want from us if we are not enemies but not friends either, it must be to be allies then and you wish to borrow our strength for some purpose. What is it you offer in return for our strength and what is it you are trying to accomplish by invading our continent?”

Fera was not disappointed in King Azar and felt her mood lifting.

“So you are the smart one. True, I care not for this continent but I do have a purpose for coming to Feya. That however is not something servants such as yourselves should know.”

Azar and Berus both shared a look with one another before Berus erupted in anger once more.

“What is the meaning of those words? Are you really trying to insult us even further?”

Fera shrugged.

“Take it how you wish. You wanted to know what I offer. Simple. Both of you will submit yourselves to me and serve me or both of you will die. My offer is for you two to serve me and you get to live, that’s it. What will it be?”

This time it was King Azar who grew angry. Still, he kept his composure.

“That offer is quite interesting. Never have I been so insulted. You invade our continent and ravish it how you please with those filthy Azirian’s and you lead the Miasma to ruin the land. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was you who made such a nasty thing, for it matches your personality perfectly. For you to have the gall to make such an ultimatum when you present yourself in a weak fake body such as that. I don’t know how that body is made but if it is any indication of your true form, then you have considerably less power than initially thought. Yet with all of these things that would only insight our fury, you dare act as if you hold the advantage. You really are more arrogant than Glacious, a feat I thought impossible. How about I make you an offer. Leave now and wait on the dark continent for I will come to you personally and when I meet you in the flesh, I will proceed to tear out that throat that allows you to speak such uninformed words.”

Fera said nothing at first. As this silence provided though, storm clouds began to gather overhead.

“I gave you two a chance. When you two are on the verge of death and the little bit of life left is leaving your eyes, it will be I who cruelly laughs as you exhale you’re very…last… breath.”

Berus snorted.

“Hmph, all you can do is talk. With such a weak body you think you can take us?”

Berus raised a hand in the air and snapped with full force.

*BOOM!*

A loud boom echoed from his fingers and off into the distance. The very next moment 20 figures appeared in the sky. Each one had a dangerous aura and each one emitted a murderous air. Berus smiled with malice.

“You will be dealing with them or rather they will be dealing with you. Once I’ve killed Glacious. I’ll personally go to the dark continent and pay you a visit.”
