Return of the Fallen Volume 9 Chapter 62
Zetrazz’s thoughts ran wild as he realized that the balance in power could flip at a moment’s notice, and all of would happen directly beneath his nose.
(If Kazuki takes control over the Miasma, along with his new power, he will be a force to be reckoned with. I must stop him!)
Zetrazz wanted to immediately fly out of this dome and race to Kazuki. He couldn’t let Kazuki gain control of the Miasma no matter what. Not only that but if the Miasma really had no owner, that left him an opportunity to swoop in and take the reins himself.
(If I hold the Miasma in my grasp, if it bends to my will, then my brother will be forced to submit to me once and for all. I’ll kill Fera and remove that eyesore permanently. A lowly human such as her interfering in Titan affairs, I should have crossed to her continent long ago and wiped her from the world.)
Zetrazz didn’t wish to stop his fight with his older brother as he was genuinely having a good time blasting him in the face but he knew there were some things more important than his entertainment. This hurt him to even think like this but he knew he could not let Kazuki hold control over the Miasma.
Just as he was about to open the dome, Torzz created a mountain made entirely of diamond, before Zetrazz realized what he was doing, with a demonic smile, Torzz tossed it down at the mountain base beneath them.
“ANTS YOUR TIME IN THIS WORLD IS OVER! BECOME DUST BENEATH MY POWER!”
Zetrazz’s eyes widened as he saw what Torzz was doing when a sinister thought hit him.
(I could stop my brother’s attack, it would not be that difficult to do but why should I. If it is brother who kills Kazuki’s friends and lovers instead of me, then Kazuki would snap just like I wished. Not only that I can open a hole in this dome and personally tell him what my brother has done. Kazuki, distraught and enraged, will be forced to stop whatever he’s doing in regards to the Miasma and will rush here in blind madness. At that time, he will go after my brother. Not only will he not have control of the Miasma but I will also be able to witness his newfound strength firsthand as he fights my brother. After I see his abilities, I can determine where to go from that point on and decide whether we become allies or foes. This can only be a win-win for me, heh heh heh.)
Zetrazz withdrew his power and watched as the mountain-sized diamond came crashing down like a meteor meant for one thing and one thing only…Extinction.
Inside the mountain base, Danny’s eyes shot open and he jumped to his feet and shouted.
“BRACE FOR IMPACT!”
The very moment he said this, Shin, Triska, Sam, Asuna, Nunully, and Kimi all sensed the great meteor falling from above and they were shocked.
Danny reached out with his aura at his fastest speed and grabbed his friends as well as Triska and pulled them toward him like lightning. Were they at the 4th stage or below, this unnatural pulling force would have turned their bodies into meat paste. Because they were all at the Core stage, however, this would only leave them feeling slightly sore.
The moment they were directly next to him, Danny instantly changed the shape of his body. It opened up and stretched as he thinned the god metal making up his frame into less thick pieces. Doing so made his metal frame stretch enough to make a dome of his own, one that surrounded only his friends.
His aura covered his dome-shaped body and he folded it over until he made 8 layers of aura. Just as he was about to use the ancient hand symbols to try and gather magic it happened.

Everything went quiet, no, quiet was not enough to explain it. The world itself was silent. Danny looked around and was left stupified as everyone around him was completely still. Not just still but beyond even that. Danny could no longer sense any heartbeats from anyone. No one was breathing or moving in any way.
Danny instantly thought the worse and assumed everyone was dead but no one looked dead. Everyone was just simply…still.
“You questioned my motherhood.”
A voice came from nowhere but sounded as if it were directly next to Danny, yet there was no owner anywhere in sight.
At this time, outside the dome, a beautiful woman appeared in the sky. She flew near the edge of the dome, her eyes glowing with radiant purple and yet at the same time dull grey light.
As she observed the dome, she shook her head in disapproval.
The very next instant she vanished and then reappeared inside the dome. She appeared directly next to Zetrazz and Torzz, who was also completely still and unaware of anything. Gently she raised her hands and caressed both of their energies with a sad expression. The very next moment she once again vanished and appeared inside the mountain base directly in front of Danny. She appeared like an angel descending from the heavens in Danny’s crystal eyes.
The moment he saw this tall beauty, he wondered if she really was a goddess. Then he quickly remembered the two Titans in the sky and his thoughts flipped and he became angry.
Before he could say anything though, the god-like beauty spoke first.
“Though rare, this isn’t the first time someone has personally called me out by name but the way you accused me of being an ill-fit mother…I’m here, what is it you wish to say to me?”
“You are the one freezing this place?”
Detra noded.
“Not just here, I’ve stopped the entire world from moving. All of Gordonia is currently standing frozen in time, and I did it just to hear what you so desperately have to say now say it.”
Danny was at first shocked by this notion.
(The entire world frozen in time.)
That shock though quickly melted as he realized that if Detra could do this, why hadn’t she stopped her sons.
Trying his best to keep his anger in check, he changed his body back into normal and walked up to her. His body was over 9 feet tall, and with his large frame, he completely dwarfed the female Titan. Glaring down at her, he spoke as calmly yet as coldly as possible.
“You asked why I called you here, why I spoke crudely of you. I was informed that you are a Titan. Not just any Titan but the mother of those two monsters outside. I also learned that you are meant to protect this world, correct?”
Detra gave a nod.
“You observe the world and watch as Fera swallows it up with her foul plots. You stand back and allow your own son to ally with her in hopes of destroying all of mankind. Azirian’s sweep the land turning people into monsters and not to mention the ever-growing, ever devouring Miasma. It turns everything it touches into poisonous wastelands and takes those you care about and love. Even my friend Kazuki. After everything, he’s done, even he…by that nasty Miasma. Before Danny could finish his sentence he felt powerful energy surround him and hold him in place. He was absolutely shocked by this. Not because he was being held in place but because the power felt so familiar. It was similar to the power of the summoning circle. It was as if the hand of god held him in place and could decide his fate at the drop of a needle.
He could feel not only the Magic core in his chest stopping but even his mind was becoming sluggish and his soul was starting to go dormant as if he was about to go into a hellish nightmare and ever again awake.
A dark glow in her eyes, this time it was Detra whose voice became cold.
“Don’t you ever mention my husband again. Otherwise, I will cast you down to the 7th realm of hell and I will watch with absolute glee as you suffer for an eternity in ways you cannot possibly imagine. Do you understand me?”
Danny was released slightly from her power, just enough so he could nod for her. Detra released Danny and he fell to his knees. Even though he had no lungs and did not require air or breath, the moment he was released, it felt like a huge gush of air rushed inside of him. His mind snapped awake and he became alert and his Magic core began to spin up slowly within his chest.
Even though it seemed like he would die just seconds ago, Danny’s anger did not subside but only rose to another degree.
(These fucking Titans, always looking down and treating us like nothing. I can see this is going to be much more difficult than I thought.)
Danny sensed the frozen diamond meteor in the sky.
