Return of the Fallen Volume 9 Chapter 78

Torzz had arrived at the conclusion that his mother was unworthy of his love nor was she worthy of living.

(Since mother has decided to side with humans then she can share the same fate as them as well.)

The air warped as Kazuki arrived in front of them all faster than lightning.

The moment Fera saw Kazuki, her blood began to boil with rage. She looked at Torzz as if she was ready to kill him.

“Did I not tell you to kill Kazuki with the Miasma. Yet here he is standing in front of me, at the 7th stage!”

Torzz didn’t like the accusatory tone Fera spat at him but right now he was in no mood to argue with her. His objective was to help Fera become a Demigod. If the two argued anymore it would only cause their collapse. He understood that after seeing Kazuki now. He could feel Kazuki’s power steadily rising and he knew that if his brother interfered then it would be two on two. This time it would be him buying time while Fera finishes her brother. With Kazuki dead, dealing with Zetrazz would be easy and Fera could then become a Demigod.

“I sent the Miasma but the crown…the control over the Miasma is no more. It remains in the north and has been unmoving all this time. I didn’t bother to check earlier because who in the 7 realms of heel would believe that your brother’s luck was so high that he could escape not only death but then enter the Convergence stage. By the time I found out, it was already late.”

Torezz had more to say, but anything else would just lead to a fight so he bit his tongue for now.

“Do not call that maggot my brother. He has never been my brother, only an eyesore who should have killed himself long ago but do not worry I shall remedy this.”

Kazuki seeing Fera directly in front of him, he could barely contain his fury. His brother slaughtered in front of him, his Mage core stolen, his granny master losing her life, and so on. Everything came rushing back still as fresh as the day it all happened. He didn’t know where his adopted mother was but with Fera here in front of him, he would deal with her first. After suffering and being chased basically since he returned to this world, and now rising up to the 7th stage, he finally stood on even footing. He could finally seek his revenge properly.

“So this is what you have to say. Right, we were never related in the first place. The moment you saw me and my brother, you despised us. You treated us poorly but I never felt any way about it because father Lin always took care of me and my brother. He loved us and treated us as though we were his real actual sons, and before your mother betrayed us, I thought she loved us two. Having a mother and father who loved me, I was the luckiest kid in the world, even with a shitty sister such as you. Had I known back then what I do now…I would have killed you and that witch you call mother as you both slept.”

Fera’s aura and power both climbed along with her rage.

“DO NOT MENTION MY FATHERS NAME!”

Kazuki was a little surprised by this. Fera got angry when he mentioned their father but not when he said he would’ve killed Fera’s mother. He found that to be odd.

His thoughts only came up to this point because the very next moment, Fera attacked. Her aura swelled and became like a shapeless sharp blade as it pierced directly toward Kazuki’s chest. Kazuki’s guard went up like lightning and his own aura became a protective barrier in front of him.

A piercing pain struck his soul as her aura tore through his barrier as though it were mud. Kazuki had understood she was stronger than him from the beginning and already had his aura folded into extra layers.

Fera felt no resistance as she tore through the first 50 layers. As she got to 60, she felt a slight pressure. At 70 she felt her piercing aura slow and at 100 it came to a crawl. Finally, after she broke through the 105th layer of Kazuki’s aura, her attack came to a complete stop. Every layer she broke through caused Kazuki soul-splitting pain but this was preferable over her aura directly cutting him in half or entering his soul world and most likely destroying his soul tree.

This entire attack took less than a second to perform. The moment she launched it, she was fully confident and both Torzz and Zetrazz were both shocked by the speed and felt the fight was already over but the moment Fera’s attack failed, everyone was shellshocked.

Zetrazz smiled creepily.

(Yes, this is what I wish to see. For Kazuki to block something that I probably could not have, choosing him may have just been the right decision after all. Now fight!)

Torzz on the other hand had different thoughts.

(He folded his aura into many layers to stop her attack. He’s not only strong but too clever. This human has to be destroyed no matter what.)

Fera as well was surprised and angered.

(This fucking worm was able to block my aura! He will not get a second chance. I won’t give him that.)

“What’s wrong Fera, didn’t expect me to block your power. Don’t get too shocked because It won’t be the last time.”

Fera’s eyes widened.

“SILENCE!”

Her right hand opened with her palm facing forward. The moment she shouted a bolt of red lightning shot forward at Kazuki in a completely straight line. Kazuki was shocked by this. He could feel the power of lighting and the power of fire had fused together as one. Fera had not had this ability when she fought with Glacious the first time but now she did.

Kazuki knew how strong fused magic could be and knew he had little time to block it. His hands came together before he extended them outward with his palms open. Blazingly hot white flames fused instantly with the power of darkness and shot forward just as fast as Fera’s attack and met it head-on.

The moment these two fused powers clashed, the entire continent lit up with blinding light. Anyone who coincidently had been looking up at the sky at this moment would have had their eyes melted from their skull at this very moment. A fraction of a second later the sound from the two powers impacting exploded outward.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*

The explosion was so fierce that Torzz, Zetrazz, Kazuki, and Fera all got forced backward. Torzz and Zetrazz were both forced a few miles backward while Kazuki was forced more than a thousand feet. Fera on the other hand was only pushed back half of that distance.

The dome, the brother had put in place to protect the world from their destructive power was instantly destroyed under this explosion. A long crack ran across the ground for nearly a thousand miles and the world quaked as if it were about to fall apart. The crack was more than 200 hundred miles wide and sent shockwaves across all of Feya. The shockwave hit the ocean and tidal waves rose several thousand feet into the air and came racing toward the land.

The sound from the resulting explosion could be heard across the entire planet and anything within 7 or 800 miles was deafened instantly. Thankfully this place was mostly desert so there were not many that had to suffer and those that did, did not suffer long as the continuing shockwave took them from this cruel place.

The world most likely would have ended right there and then. The only thing that stopped it from being destroyed at that moment was the dome that had broken first. It had absorbed a good deal of the explosion. The dome was something that combined both Torzz’s white flames as well as Zetrazz’s dark energy and aura breath. It was mainly this aura breath that can suppress some magic that ultimately protected the world.

Kazuki as well had just unleashed his power for the first time. Not only that but he had fired it off in a rush because he was desperate at that moment but he could sense the state of the world and was shocked. His power and Feras nearly destroyed everything as they know it.

Zetrazz and Torzz both looked at one another. They both knew that this was not a fight they could interfere in.

Zetrazz ignored his brother and quickly started repairing the world. The power of darkness rose from beneath the world and swiftly began to stabilize the world and repair it simultaneously.

Torzz absolutely hated his brother but he did not wish for the world to be destroyed. He was disgusted by humans and loathed them but the world he cared about. If it was gone, then everything he had worked for would be for nothing. Without a word he as well began fixing the planet. At the same time, he used Gordonia to reinforce the surface of the planet. The ground across the entire world, with a bit of concentration and power, became harder than diamond.

Changing gravity across the oceans, the tidal waves racing to turn the land into a blank sheet of paper were forced back down and settled until they all became as still as a rock.

The two said nothing to one another nor did they fight, instead they started coating the planet with their own power, creating a blanket of sorts to help protect the world.
