ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 293: There Are Two Continents That Make The World, Part 1

For those of the players who are not familiar with the Bunny Country Rabbitz and the Unique Scenario “Invitation from the Bunny Country”, obtaining magic is a task that bears the very minimum of importance…… However, once you clear the “Invitation from the Bunny Country”, you are going to find out that there is actually a hidden meaning behind it.

This hidden meaning is actually connected with the two Unique Monsters that you can meet there: “Goldunine the Inexhaustible” and “Weissash the Immortal”, as well as the underground tunnels that serve as the battleground for the two and their respective kin.

However, even something like this is just a side attraction, something that will postpone you from exploring the main quest of ShangriLa Frontier for as long as possible.

But if the Saint-chan herself is involved into a side activity such as this, this changes the nature of things considerably.

To me it is clear that this whole Iristella, the Saint of Charity, is the kind of NPC that is going to cause quite a stir in the events of the game’s main storyline. So far, the World Quest managed to raise a ridiculous amount of event flags, but Saint-chan is going to take a big part in all of this for sure.

If nothing else, if you were to drop the bomb that “Saint of Charity can predict the future”, you can be sure that it would cause quite a bit of stir here and there.

In fact, everyone who would get to talk to Saint Iristella at least once would quickly become aware of that fact. Could it be that the Saint Shield’s Territory did not care about anyone else finding out about that as long as their goals were achieved? Or could it be that they are going to make me some kind of “offer I cannot refuse” for finding that out? I see how it is…… pretty clever of them, making that fact a sort of advanced payment……

……(I have a whole lot of questions I would like to ask here. Some of them are really stupid, and some of them are really philosophical, like the secrets of the Universe. But the most important one: why is this Saint-chan so unbelievably cute?)

No, it’s best not to think about pointless stuff right about now…… Yeah, I’m a gamer here, and gamers need to have guts! Best to think about what is going to happen in the near future and what I can do in order to not die a pointless death!

Alright, after giving it some thought, I shall accept that request of yours.

Thank you so very much, Sanraku-sama. And I hereby swear upon Three Pillar Gods, your hardships and efforts shall not go unrewarded……

Umm, Joset-san? How is it even possible to have so many nosebleeds inside of a video game, I wonder?

And that is why I need to go to the new continent. Speaking of which…… Rabbitz is located on the new continent, right?

Yes, that’s right! However, Rabbitz is first and foremost an island country, so even if we go out of there, reaching the main land of the new continent is going to be difficult!

Does that mean that all this time Goldunine was digging her tunnels under the seabed? If so, it is both amazing and incredibly dangerous at the same time. I mean, one mistake here and the whole thing is going to be flooded in a matter of seconds.

And since I was yet to die since the meeting with the Holy Shield’s Territory, with Emul on my head I had no choice but to travel to Rabbitz in my female form.

For the time being, I am going to organize my equipment. Then, we shall go to Fastea.

…… Hm? Why there of all places?

Without any real jobs to do, this world would not have been that much realistic to begin with……

Also, since this is the world inside of a video game, I don’t think that I will be asked to show any ID here. I mean, I would be really surprised if I was, but still……

New Continent Research Vessel…… I forgot its name already, but there should have been three ships that were built with the thought of going into the New Continent. Each named after one of the sacred beasts that symbolizes the Holy Church on this continent. And even though only the Pioneer can board those ships. Not everyone is able to enter. You need to have a certain level and possess certain abilities that are deemed worthy. And who judges those abilities? Of course…… it’s the Union.

If you don’t happen to reach Fiftsia by your own accord, either because you are strong or fast enough, there is still a way for you to score for yourself a ticket leading straight into the New Continent. That is working for the Union and completing various quests posted by its members. Do enough of those, and the Union will consider you to be a valuable asset. One worthy of guaranteeing your ability.

Yes, but if you happen to belong to a Union……

I see that the recommendation from the Saint of Charity herself holds some value here, but being unemployed truly does suck……

I don’t really get it, but if you say so, then it really must be like that, right, Sanraku-san?

That being said, what do you say for hiding in the ship’s cargo hold and roleplaying a stowaway? That sounds more like fun, right?

I call this a Social Vorpal Soul! It is still a thrill, although of an entirely different kind than that of confronting a giant monster or a boss monster…… However, it is not wise to seek a thrill just like too often inside of the game, believe me!

For the time being, you might go pay a visit to your brother and sister, while go buy some things and restock on some other things.

As far as the Teleportation Gate goes, it only seems to be working in places that the player character has already been to at least once. So if I want to go to Firstea, this means I need to teleport back to Secandil and walk from there…… Talk about a detour.

For now, let’s die properly and then we can go there.

But wouldn’t it be more Vorpal Soul-like to just throw your life away?

Hahaha, if I wanted to do that, I would have payed a visit to my dear friends at Crystal Scorpion Hill……

Dear friends……?

I mean, as soon as I get there and try to mine for something, the scorpions become agitated and rush towards me to greet me…… If that is not the way in which a friend acts, then what is the right way?

Or maybe they are simply holding a grudge against me for taking away their stuff without asking? Who knows……
