Kyougoku: And as far as keeping secrets go, you’re really the one to talk, Sanraku.

Pencil Warrior: Having that in mind, you’d better tell us everything you know! And what we want to know!

Katsu: Just so you know, we will not hesitate to treat you with the omission of every possible human right!

Sanraku: You’d better hurry it up over here so that we can properly roast you for information!

Rust: (Sad News) Mold says that he crashed right into the automatic doors because he was laughing so hard that he did not pay attention to where he was going. Straight up did not see that they were not open.

Pencil Warrior: Am I the only one in here who thinks that this guy’s reaction is way too intense for something that is not even remotely funny?

Katsu: Yeah, he’s just like a walking laughing machine that malfunctioned and does not know how to turn itself off.

Sanraku: Boy, do I not envy this guy’s facial muscles.

Mold: All of a sudden everyone is ganging up on me!? That’s just rude!!!

「Just take a look at this thing right here……」

The thing I was looking at was a tightly sealed and additionally reinforced plastic box.

And looking at the clearly Japanese name placed amongst a whole bunch of foreign—looking letters, this could mean only one thing: the package that I was waiting for has finally arrived! Takeda-san really outdid himself with this thing, that’s for sure!

Looking to the side, you could see a package that I have seen on the shelves of Rock Roll so many times before. But this time around it was the physical copy of that game.

And if you looked further to the side, there was one more package here, but this one was completely different from the usual Japanese releases that I was so accustomed to.

Checking inside of the package, there were also labels in there saying things like “near mint”, “slightly used” or “brand new”.

「Requiem For Armies, Galaxia Heroes: Chaos, and Kazagumo President……」

Looking at the covers, the three games were a real mess of both genres and art styles. …… Really, one huge mess.

For now, let’s just sort things out here. Requiem For Armies is something that I have bought myself for my own money. This is the game in which Jack makes his appearance. And you might remember Jack as the character that I was cosplaying during the GGC during the summer. The Pumpkin Mercenary.

And since I was cosplaying as the guy, I thought that it would only do the character justice if I were to play the game where he made an appearance…… Yeah, it’s something like that.

Next one is Kazagumo President. Just like Takeda—san said, it was sent all the way from Zimbabwe, and the pace at which it arrived here was almost terrifying. Man, I want to be just like Takeda-san when I grow up…… Serious respect here.

In the first place, Takeda-san, in some circles known as Takeda Ingen, is one of my fellow shitty game enthusiasts, but a slightly different one from Pencilgton and Katsu. With those two I mostly play shitty games, but Takeda-san is someone with whom I often exchange reviews of different shitty games.

And as far as Takeda-san is concerned, he is a hardcore shitty games enthusiast back from the late retro gaming era, when video games were still being displayed on the TV screen instead of using Full Dive technology. He once sent me a photo of his gaming den, but it was so huge and cluttered with various games that it was actually unbelievable.

Takeda-san has all sorts of shitty games at his house, ranging from Otome to R-18 stuff. He’s the model I aspire to be as a gamer when I grow up.

That is why I do not neglect my studies. Takeda-san is a hardcore gamer, but he is also a pretty capable man when it comes to social interactions. He truly is every gamer’s role model.

And Kazagumo President is something that both of us have been pretty excited about ever since last year, so there is just no way that I’m not going to play this game!

「I must thank the guy for this. E-mail, e-mail…… But wait, what’s the time difference between Zimbabwe and Japan?」

From the reply to the thank you email I learned that Takeda-san is currently somewhere in Eastern Europe. This guy surely has light feet, I’ll give him that. And from the distance towards the earth that was shown in the photo he attached to the e-mail, I estimated that he must have been inside of the headquarters of some esteemed company or something like that. And this photo was most probably taken somewhere near the top floor at that.

「Yeah, don’t think too much about it! It’s game time!」

Takeda-san truly is amazing! When I finally become a fully-fledged member of society, I want to be able to build a palace of shitty games as well!

And finally, we have this thing.

There’s a certain professional gaming title sitting sandwiched between my games, but I did not order this…… And since this is Galaxia Heroes: Chaos, it means that the sender must have been the development team, right?

I wonder why…… But all of a sudden I can feel a really strong pressure being placed upon my shoulders. That must have been those guys, right? There is no other possible explanation. And while my paranoia gauge was slowly filling here, I know that worrying myself like that over nothing won’t do me any good.

I wonder if it is really okay for me to play this without really knowing the source material? It should be technically based on the Japanese saga of the comic books, but I don’t know…… Ah well. For now on, let’s just put it back on the shelf. I promise that I shall come back to you some day after getting to know the source material, but until that time you will have to wait!

For the time being, let’s just send the URL of the latest version to Katsu and see how he is going to react to that.

「I know that making my Pile of Shame grow bigger is not something a gamer should be proud of, but that’s just how it is in life! No use to worry about it too much!」

Let’s just do it! I know that I have school tomorrow, but I have just no other way but to do it, right!?

I shall do everything in my power to properly enjoy this! That is why, for the sake of this mighty goal, I am going to put both Galaxia Heroes AND ShanFro on hold! This is just how strong my resolve here is!

I mean, it’s not like I have anything all that pressing to do in ShanFro at the current moment, and once in a blue moon it is fine to just go and try something else for a change, right? It’s not like I HAVE to play ShanFro exclusively all the time.

Okay, so the pan of attack is as follows: first thing first we clear the story mode of Requiem For Armies, since it only has a story mode that can be played! Then we switch to Kazagumo President! All the while eating junk food and sipping on energy drinks like mad!

Yes, that’s perfect.

「…… No, I mean yeah, it’s nothing, really. Just an emotional impression, if I had to put a name on it.」

「Ha, haa…… I see.」

Jack, he was such a cool character……

However, in order to fully grasp just how awesome he was, I needed to play a whole lot more than just a single episode from the story mode…… Which is why right now I’m so sleepy.
