ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 384: Side Story 6 – Ace of Spades With a Handicap – Part 1

To make a long story short, before the incident that ended up with the woman in black mourning robes falling into the ocean and getting disintegrated, the player base present at the frontline base was in the kind of stagnation. This particular stagnation was a result of the fact that at the time the route leading towards the village of the People of the Forest was still unknown, and there were hordes of monsters scurrying about in the wilderness, making forming any scouting party pretty much impossible.

With that matter having been officially resolved, the new continent and every possible way of transport leading there was expecting a true boom in terms of people interested in getting there. It’s like all of a sudden a new tourist attraction had been discovered for everyone to enjoy.

Of course, the root cause of said boom is to be found in those two players in particular: “Sanraku” and “Tottori the Simane”.

That woman in the black mourning dress not only managed to display some really amazing mobility skills that were at her disposal, but she also managed to make short work of the Third Knight of the Kingdom, Julian, with only one attack! And he was in heavy armor to boot, which only made this achievement even more amazing. She was rushing through the air, standing on her blade and sending a hundred bright flashes with just that one attack. It was so cool, but at the same time so mysterious! It all served to leave a strong impression on everyone present there at the moment. One that would be the object of rumors and speculations for days to come inside and outside of the game’s world.

And thanks to the rumors heard through the grapevine (which was actually a leak made by Tottori) this was a result of a so-called “Three Digit Skill”, something that you would obtain after getting rid of the level cap on your avatar. Of course, there was no guarantee that you would obtain the exact same skills that were demonstrated during the short battle of the woman in black versus the Third Knight, but hey! You never know until you go and try it for yourself.

And since Tottori the Simane belonged to the mapping guild, soon after his glorious return from the new continent there have been quite a few maps of the new world being released. Those maps included the area of the great forest in the new world, with few non-interesting details and one huge landmark that everyone wanted to know about: the location of the village of the People of the Forest, a place where one could get rid themselves of the level cap. That particular map was expensive as hell…… but it was the price that the people were willing to pay for knowing the exact location of this indispensable place.

Especially if you compare the price of the map with the prices of the building industry that all of a sudden have grown in importance after the recent events in the new world. Compared to the prices that the President E–Miria and her guild was dictating to the other players and the People of the Forest for helping them rebuild their ancient homeland…… the price of the map was not really that much of a rip-off to being with.

According to Sanraku’s story, Saiga-0 was certain that the village of the People of the Forest is going to be a land reclaimed by nature to some degree, untouched by the hands of living beings for more than a couple hundreds of years. So completely empty with any signs of civilization completely in shambles.

But right about now, hundreds upon thousands of both players and NPCs were roaming around the place, making it almost as noisy as the regular town back on the old continent. If Saiga-0 did not know that this place was originally deserted and desolated, she would have never gotten such impression upon seeing it with her own eyes just now.

「Look, I may be an amateur when it comes to architecture, but even I know that trying to repair the whole wall with just a single leaf, no matter how huge, is basically asking for trouble!」

「Heeey! Does anyone have any wood on them!? We don’t have nearly enough support pillars over here!」

「I will sell you some for…… Let’s say…… twenty thousand mani?」

「Are you stupid or what!! That’s a total rip-off, no matter what you say to me!!」

「That’s way too long, so how about Skanov? …… BUGEH!?」
