「I’m sorry for derailing the conversation all of a sudden like that, but do you think you could at least try to stay calm? I know that you might be excited right about now, but it’s really distracting and it’s not really helping with anything.」

「You may say that, but can you actually blame me? I mean, this equipment is rather unusual, so it’s not really all my fault here……」

In answer to that remark I gently turn to the side and change my head equipment to that of a Salmon head. Then I face back up in front of me, gaining some momentum and causing the head to wiggle around. And then I raise one of my thumbs up in complete silence, thus completing this surreal picture.

「Kuh…… Fueh?」

「I AM. SEA GRAPE!」

「This name has absolutely nothing to do with fish! What the hell……!!」

Alright, that managed to exactly what I wanted it to do.

And with that officially being taken out of the way, I think that we can finally move on to the main matter at hand here.

「This information is something that I have not yet shared with anyone, not even the members of the guild “Wolfgang”. So I guess that means…… You are going to be the first player besides me who is going to know about that.」

「…… Why? What is your reason for doing this?」

…… Why, she asks? Well, I guess that’s true. The reason is very important matter here. I almost forgotten about it here, As per the rules of the alliance that was formed not so long ago, the members of the “Wolfgang” guild are to share the information with others at their own leisure, or if they find it advantageous for them to do so in the first place. A nice rule to have at that current moment when the alliance was being formed, but one that might become a nuisance right now.

But I have come to a conclusion that in this one particular case, monopolizing this information is not going to be a good idea. It will only cause more problems down the line than it would be worth it.

That is why I decided to consult the Library first out of all people. Hoping that it would be well worth both my time and my money.

「There is the new Unique Scenario EX that I have managed to discover as of late. It’s called “Bringing an End to My Eternal Struggle” and one of its conditions is actually to form a party with Goldunine the Inexhaustible, a new Unique Monster…… or to be more exact, the Goldunine the Inexhaustible VIII.」

「…… The Eighth? What does that even mean?」

「It means exactly what it means. Incidentally, I have witnessed the birth and death of the ninth one with my own eyes. That being said, I have no idea if those are the only ones out there, or if there are any more of them out there in the world. But…… If there are so many of them, I think that you are more or less aware what does that fact mean for the players, am I right? Goldunine-wise.」

「Possibility of choice or selection.」

「I don’t know if the requirements for this particular Unique Scenario EX involve some sort of a battle royale, and I for sure have no idea what is going to happen to the players that decide to aid the losing side in this battle……」

「…… Now I understand. So it’s a unique premise to that particular Unique Scenario EX, one that cannot possibly be monopolized by anyone, but rather is meant to be spread around.」

「At the very least, that’s the gist of it. Above all else, it is impossible to monopolize this particular Unique Scenario Ex. So the only thing that we can do here is to make the first move, before everyone else does.

Unfortunately, the Goldunine that is on our side can be described as “sloppy”. And “sloppy” is the best word I can use in regards to her at the current moment. Apparently the only reason she was able to survive up until now was purely because of Sammy-chan’ stealth performance, so that’s that. And while stealth attacks surely are a nice little trump card to have on your side, they have one fatal flaw that hinders their performance quite a bit: they are susceptible to powerful area of effect attacks, rendering them next to useless. So there we have it: an ally whose powers are extremely situational at best.

In particular, the Naga snakes accompanying that one particular Goldunine are going to be a real hassle to deal with. I mean, whatever that Goldunine does during the battle, those lackeys of hers can always do a follow up on that with a ranged attacks. So at the current moment I’m unable to think about any sort of a strategy that would allow me to win against that.

But perhaps the means to end that one particular struggle would be to deal with other Goldunines first. And then there is the idea of a jolly cooperation with that domesticated Goldunine…… the option of an all-out battle royal is extremely unlikely in this particular scenario, but not something I would deem to be completely impossible.

「To put it simply, I would like the “Library” to act as my backup during the Unique Scenario EX revolving around Goldunine.」

「Hmm…… I see, I see. I understand.」

「I’m going to ask just to be sure, but…… Would you get really angry with me if I were to say that you have to make your decision right here right now?」

「The Professor is going to be really busy with tomorrow’s lectures, so waking him up at this particular hour is out of the question, I’m afraid. And that’s something that I won’t negotiate.」

「Hey, it was a joke, so easy there! I’m not as heartless and tactless as to intrude into someone else’s private life just because of the matters related to a video game.」

At the very least I do not think that I need to worry about this Unique Quest going global for the time being, and the risk of Wimp also getting out and being seen is next to none. I mean, right now she’s leveling on vacation inside of the safest prison-villa in the world.

Just to be on the safe side I have left Wimp in the care of the Piece of Junk, but I wonder if that was a good idea on my end? …… No, worrying about it right now won’t bring me anything good. So I shake my head as to chase the bad thoughts away. Besides, I can see the materials from the spiders and centipedes gathering in my inventory, so it must mean that everything is going well so far.
