ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 429: Dragon, Oh Dragon! PART 6 Part 2

BOOOM!! CRUUUSH!!! CRAAAACK!!!

There were those loud and hard to describe kind of sounds that were slamming against Red Howl’s chest over and over again, and its giant and disfigured body tried to rise up once more into the air, although it managed to do that only for a single moment.

Even though the dragon was strangely shaped, the sound of the attack hitting against its body was not quite something that everyone was expecting to occur here. But still, the pressure that this attack gave the players was enough to cause them to shudder all of a sudden in admiration.

「Unfortunately enough, the title of “Maximum Firepower” seems to be still well beyond my reach.」

「OGH, GOOOAAAHHH……!?」

For everyone present on the battlefield it was as clear as day: Red Howl’s body stiffened up as a result of suffering a great deal of damage.

「Yes! Keep it up! Don’t give it a chance to retaliate!」

Sensing that the tide of the battle was finally starting to tip towards the players, Saiga-100 shouts a command with a voice filled with hope. And hearing that command, the surrounding players raise their weapons once more and rush towards the Red Howl who was not on the ground, writhing in agony and unable to escape.

「There is no need to try and kill it all at once here! It is as much as you feel is necessary, and then back away to safety! Also, stay vigilant! There is always a possibility of a counterattack coming our way!」

Although it seems that the Colored Dragons are the “raid Monsters”, this time around the system does not seem to categorize them as such. However, even if this is the case here, that is not to say that the Colored Dragons won’t have additional attack patterns and new special moves as the battle goes on and their HP starts to sink lower and lower.

Although it is an army that was rallied on the spot and in a pinch, that is not to say that all the Players who were able to advance towards the New Continent do not possess the adequate strength and abilities. Because being here is the testament of actually having adequate skills and strength needed to survive in this harsh environment.

「GUH, NUUOOO, OOOHHH……」

「Everyone, watch out! Dodge, now!!!」

「I’m going to say it here! After my dead body! Use my sacrifice to gather some neat information about this thing!」

「Alright! Come on! Let’s do it!」

「If it’s a ghost screenshot, then leave it to me!」

「YOU…… YOU……! YOU STUPID, LITTLE, PATHETIC MAGGOTSSSSSS……!!!」

「OGUAH!?」

「Whoa, wait just a……!?」

「The top is starting to spin!?」

As if coming back to its senses, Red Howl starts to thrash about in a mad frenzy. There is fire and flames spewing out from the protrusions all over its body and as it gets up on its feet again it blows away many players in the process.

However, whether it was a good or bad decision to fight in such a united and brave way, downward arrow icons are starting to be displayed all over the place.

「Massive-san! You seem to be its next target! Stay away from the Respawn Icon! And do it fast!」

「Oh my oh my, looks like I’m in danger here……You see, I myself am pretty sluggish, as you might all know.」

Massive Dynamite is the player who has poured vast majority of his skill points into the statistic of Strength and Vitality. His build was that of the Extreme kind, and its weaknesses were all but showing right now.

A warrior who boasts unparalleled Strength and Vitality is also someone who is not all that agile and who moves really slowly. That is the cost they must pay.

If the damage is low to begin with, a huge Vitality can reduce it to zero, but when you are being hit with a powerful attack from a powerful opponent like that, the HP loss is something that can not be avoided no matter what.

But if that is so, then the only thing that the Glass Cannon needs in order to survive is a sturdy and unmovable shield that will protect it from the enemy fire.

「Tank Number One has arrived!」

「Same with Tank Number Two!」

「Since we do not have that much free time on our hands here, let’s skip the introduction of the other guys! But anyways, we are from the SF-Zoo!」

「Sorry for being late! Number Five’s dog really wanted to go for a walk right now!」

「My precious Golden Retriever just adores going for a late night walks!」

The five players line up in the diagonal line, each and every one of them holding a dull tower shield, a heavy weapon that seemed to be somewhat excessive even for players like them.

But thanks to the Aggro Focusing skills of the Tanks, the fire breath of Red Howl was safely directed from Massive Dynamite and focused on people that would surely be able to withstand it all.

「「「PHALANX!!!」」」

The more people activate the same skill at the same time, the more the armor value will increase. The defense skill is activated here, and the five tower shields take the attack of Red Howl head on.

Just a slight change of aggro…… That’s all it takes to change the power balance.

The body of Red Howl, whose kinetic energy has been repelled by the counter skills that have been activated in succession, is turned over vigorously.

「OGUUUAAAHHH!?」

「Whoa there, what the hell!? I can’t believe it! You’ve got to be kidding me!? Those guys actually managed to stop this thing!?」

「The Tanks of SF-Zoo…… The feeling of security they are giving you is something else entirely. Like, I feel three times safer with them being around than without them.」

「I know, right? But that is only because these guys have little to no attack skills on them. They are as Tanky as they come, with only Defense and Counter skills on them.」

「I know that this tanking is what Tanks do, but don’t you find that to be a little bit too extreme?」

Among every guild standing at the top in this game, this particular Guild consisted mostly of the Tanks and rearguards. And when it comes to the Tanks of that Guild, those five Tanks in particular that were able to take on all the aggro here all at once with little to no problem at all, they were the best possible escort that Massive Dynamite could ask for.

With that, the battle against the Red Dragon Red Howl could finally push forward. And while being protected by the best defense line there could be in this game, the players started to pass the Dragon enemy in between themselves like you would pass a ball around the playground.

Needless to say the further development on one of the battlefronts here would serve to further stir and complicate the matters of this currently ongoing Dragon Disaster War.
