ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 431: Dragon, Oh Dragon! PART 8 Part 1
「NGUUUOOOHHH!?」
「SO ANNOYING!!! SO OBNOXIOUS!!!」
It was as though you were trying to swat down a swarm of nasty flies that had come to obstruct you the view of a magnificent painting that was right in front of your eyes.
Noirlind was struck by a golden tail and lost his position, but he managed to regain his attitude and control during the fall, thus ultimately avoiding the fate of being struck down towards the ground.
「YOU LITTLE SHIT……!!!」
Noirlind was doing its best to attack its opponent and was opposing him with its whole body, but every time it was going on the offensive it was getting intercepted with no issue at all. It needed a change of strategy.
But if so, what was it that he could do in order to turn this situation around in his favor and avoid being targeted by those blasted insects down below? The Black Dragon already managed to arrive at the answer to that particular problem.
Noirlind does not rise up into the sky again. Instead, it descended towards the ground and started to look for a particular insect player amongst the crowd of other insects. And once it found that insect, it called out its name.
「AKITSU AKANE!」
「Ah, Noirlind-san!」
「COME WITH ME! RIGHT NOW!」
The issued commands were short and pretty much vague, but Akitsu Akane responded to them without even the slightest bit of opposition. And when the fox-faced man jumped onto Noirlind back with light steps, Noirling spread its wings once more and started to beat with them, generating torrents of wind magic underneath them.
「Everyone! I’m going to go for a while!」
The Black Dragon carries a lone player on its back and starts to take flight once again. As Akitsu Akane flies on Noirlind’s back, the other players look at him with opened eyes filled with shock and dismay. After all, the Black Dragon should be the target for subjugation for the players alongside other colored dragons, so allying with it should be unthinkable. Before long, the Black Dragon managed to approach the Golden Dragon once more.
「WOULD YOU CUT IT OUT…… MUH, YOU! WHAT HAVE YOU……!?」
「FUAHAHAHAHAHA!!! SO!? HOW DOE IT FEEL!? HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE FACED IN BATTLE AGAINST SOMEONE THAT YOU HAVE MARKED WITH YOUR WOUNDS!? SIEGWURM!!!」
「Oh, hi there, Siegwurm-san! I have come to pay you back for damaging my face like you did all that time ago!」
「HOU, HOU!! OH HUMAN, TO THINK THAT YOU WOULD GO AS FAR AS TO JOIN FORCES WITH THAT YOUNG FOOL, NOIRLIND! BUT NO, NO, IT’S LL GOOD! IT’s MORE INTERESTING THAT WAY! NOIRLIND, I THINK I AM GOING TO PLAY WITH YOU FOR SOME MORE!」
「SHUT UP! I DON’T NEED YOUR PITY!!!」
The Black Dragon carrying a person on his back attacks the Golden Dragon King. Siegwrum easily manages avoids it, but the next moment he turns his gaze towards Akitsu Akane, who was now clinging onto his shoulder.
「NUH…… I SEE, THAT DAGGER…… NO, IT WAS MOST PROBABLY NOT HIS ORIGINAL INTENTION.」
「Hm? Ah, oh yes! This thing is the Bunny Flower – Sakura –! Now brace yourself, Siegwurm-san!」
「YOU WHO HAVE TRAVERSED THE SKIES IN ORDER TO STAND BEFORE ME! SHOW ME YOUR BRILLIANCE!」
「“Knowledge of the Blade: JUDGMENT CHAIN”!!!」

The moment when Akitsu Akane hit Siegwurm’s shoulder with a small dagger that he was holding in his hand, there was the effect of a bright chain that sprung from the dagger’s blade and started to crawl its way all over Siegwurm’s golden body.
This chain formed something that very much resembled a chainmail, but the magic constituting this chainmail had one purpose; to bind the target in place rather than protect it from harm.
「HOU……? SO, YOU INTEND TO TIE ME DOWN AND BRING ME TO THE GROUND? HOWEVER, AT THIS RATE, THE FALL IS ALSO GOING TO KILL YOU AS WELL, ARE YOU AWARE OF THAT?」
Indeed, for Akitsu Akane this situation was pretty much a death sentence. If Siegwurm was to fall to the ground, a fall from such height would mean death for him without any shred of a doubt. If Noirlind was to unleash its fire breath at Siegwurm, the heat would burn Akitsu Akane’s flesh and melt his bones. So no matter what happens here, there is no way that Akitsu Akane is going to survive that. And even if he somehow managed to do just that, Siegwurm’s Dragon Law would surely be the doom of the lonely Player. So there was literally no way for Akitsu Akane to avoid death in this scenario.
However, it seems that the fox-ninja did not seemed to care all that much about any of it. Surprisingly enough, that assumption was only confirmed when he opened his mouth and said:
「Even if I die here, all that I have to do is to just climb my way back to that point, isn’t that right?」
「ARE YOU DONE!? NOW DIE ALREADY!!!」
Noirlind roared out loud, reading its attack and after a moment a wave of black fire was released from its mouth and soared towards Siegwurm at an alarming speed. The Black Dragon Breath travels all the way towards Siegwurm and manages to hit it directly, since the Golden Dragon was unable to make any kind of dodge or take an evasive action.
There was a clear hostility and killing intent in that attack, and Siegwurm was able to sense it clearly. Allowing to be consumed by this attack would surely be nothing good.
「Ku. KUKUKU. KUKUKUKUKUKUKU…… KUHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!」
But even so, the Golden Dragon King was laughing right now. No one was able to know if it was because of the attack that was so close to hitting him, or if it was because of something else, some completely other, unrelated reason. However, one thing in here was for sure. Every Player out here should be well aware of the fact that the boss monster of this caliber should have more than one ace up its sleeve. And while the Dragon Law – Notorious – was a truly “God-Slaying” power, it was not the only thing that the Golden Dragon King could take pride in.
And everyone present here were about to find that out firsthand.
「GOOD! YES, GOOD! TRULY MARVELOUS! IN THAT CASE, LET ME SHOW YOU! MY “SHINING DRAGON KING – TUPAC = AMAL – !!!」
In the next moment, Siegwurm spreads its huge golden wings apart, and then a web of golden web of patterns and symbols starts to bloom on its wings, creating a complex and intricate image. It must have been a part of the activation process for the skill Siegwurm just proclaimed out loud.
And just then, in the very next moment, Siegwurm’s whole body starts to shine with bright golden light, as if the Golden Dragon King changed itself into a bright beacon cutting through the darkness of the night.
「NUUUOOOHHH!!!???」

「WHAT!? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?」
