This bombshell of information was dropped here a little bit too easy. However, for Sanraku, there was no way to know what kind of effect those words would have on someone like Reiji, a pure-hearted and earnest boy currently going through puberty at full speed with no breaks attached. Especially that part about changing your gender with the help of a quest-obtained item. But when all is said and done, Sanraku disclosed those information in good faith, not having any form of malicious intent in his mind in regards to them.
「Seriously though, you have no idea just how much I wanted to thank you here! I wanted to do so for the longest time right now! But anyways, I would love to stay here and chat some more, but I have a score that needs to be upped constantly, so…… Let’s both do our very best here! And don’t get yourself killed!」

While Reiji was watching Sanraku (?) jumping high into the air and dashing forward towards the raging battlefield at the speed that was hard to believe was possible while wearing a heavy jeweled armor like that, a certain thought occurred in the youth’s head. I know that Break herself said that the Tsarberyl Crystal is just crazy, but…… I was honestly thinking that she might be exaggerating a little bit. But no, it was no exaggeration…… Despite its appearances of a heavy armor, this thing is actually so light and easy to move in that it is downright scary! Appearances can really be deceiving here!
Plus, this set of armor has really neat passive effects to it. Its “current” passive is the one that passively regenerates the user’s MP. And the best thing is, this is not the set passive effect, but rather the individual effects of every single piece of this set. Which means more or less that if you are wearing the helmet, gloves, grieves and torso piece, you can recover lost MP so quick that you would not even think it was diminishing at all! Isn’t that just great?
Furthermore, this armor also comes with the innate ability of reflecting magic attacks, so this means more or less that even the Dragon Breath from those small dragons should be ineffective against me! Now this is what I would call useful!
And then! Let’s accumulate some gauges here and pump myself up full of various strengthening skills so that the final effect can be as follows……
「“EX-Excalibur Mode”!!!」
At the moment, all of my MP is consumed on the spot, and the crystal blade grows to a scary degree.
This is the extended form of Crystal Sword Glitter Grit, the ability to physically extend the blade by consuming MP! It’s not a magic blade, but a physical blade that expands, so the required parameters also increase! And as one might expect, it’s quite heavy!!!

A vertical flash comes flying towards a giant-type small dragon, the deadly “Glitter Sword” can be used by achieving one hundred percent of the adjusted physical strength and a special gauge.
Perhaps the design here was to make it easy to cut from the beginning. I cut through the small dragons with a single swift of my sword that is left to be carried by its own weight, and look back with the shrunk blade as it is.

The special effect “Glitter Sword” smooths the attack motion and causes additional damage. Simply put, even without doing anything special or fancy, additional damage will occur after a few seconds of slashing…… and if the additional damage makes for a finishing blow, it ends up in a rather flashy explosion.
「A toy…… Yeah, right……」
I wonder if the creator was trying to hide that fact with the weapon’s design. Because they were doing a really poor job at it, especially with those appearances and the big X mark carved onto the sword’s handle.
However, it is nice to take over the motion calculation until just before the blade expansion, because there are games that become inoperable in the air the moment you activate the special move. It’s interesting to see a deadly motion like that while falling without considering landing.
Also, since it is a two-handed sword category, it takes a slight negative modifier to the left hand and a bonus to the right hand, but that is beside a point here. I ordered a two-handed sword and it is exactly what was presented to me.
While slashing away at the ant-shaped dragons with a loud hiss, let’s just go around the field and help the other players that are about to die or being overwhelmed by the enemy. That should earn me a considerable amount of points here, right?
Hmm, that’s strange. You would think that by now something was bound to come out here…… But nothing of the sort was happening.
「Tsk, does that mean that I need to shine it in here some more?」
I thrust my Crystal Sword right into the ground and then activate the EX-Excalibur mode in that state. It’s fair to say here that my basic motions right about now are fairly limited thanks to the Critical Speed of mine, but I guess that it should be fine. But just in case, maybe I should think about some alternative way of making the ends meet for the future events.
So I jump into the air, operate some inventory and status windows in a hurry, and took out a brand new weapon that I brandish in my hands. I knew it all too well that in terms of compatibility it was a total overkill here, but I was forbidding myself from using it because I wanted to give the Crystal Sword a go before anything else.
The Dragon-Slaying blade that was once stuck in the side of the Naga snake, which was technically not a dragon, but that’s beside the point. It has spent all this time there, decaying and rusting away…… Originally it was supposed to be a spear, but it was broken by its former user. But whatever its story is, now it was the time to show this weapon’s true power! Or rather, create an entire new legend for it!
「Howl, my Aradval! Raise those flames of your sky high! It’s time for you to burn the dragons some more!」
The jet-black blade starts burning with a bright flame, as if it was waiting for just that command to be spoken out loud. And then the burning blade swings forward, cutting through the giant dragon as if it was nothing more but a bar of butter. Honestly, the sharpness of this thing actually never ceases to amaze me.
I don’t know what my destination is yet, but I know that it’s a place where all those small dragons are gathering.
「I don’t really know, but I know this: time to up that kill score some more!!!」
