ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 439: Dragon, Oh Dragon! PART 16 Part 2

「And that is because I have the power of Quantum on my side here! With it, I am virtually unstoppable!」

「Are you sure you want to shout something like that out loud? That statement sounded pretty much like a cheat code, you know?」

「Shut up! It’s perfectly legal! But here it comes…… “BLOOD HEART”!!!」

I say the magic words. And their sound causes the red skull on my head to tremble and shake, kind of resembling a PC that freezes up for a moment when you try to force it to undergo an operation that its specification would not allow it to normally perform. If I were to put it in another word, I would say that the best way to describe what happened right now was that “The Air has Frozen”.

Even though I was wearing my black dress and should not be able to feel anything, since the item in question was right at the top of my head I was able to feel it all too clearly. The red skull on my head stopped to shake and tremble, and right now it was…… Yeah, there is no doubt about it…… It was slowly beating. Just like a heart would.

「Eh? Wait, wha!? What the hell is that!?」

「Is this blood or what……?」

Red skull. Red bones. Red skin…… I don’t know what the bones of this monster actually made of. Maybe it was calcium, and maybe it was something else entirely. However, at least I could tell that the skull was oozing out a muddy and red liquid from itself all over.

Of course, since the red and sticky blood oozes out from the crown, it drips all over my body, soaking my clothes and sticking to my skin like a parasite.

My body jerks all of a sudden as if a cramp struck it. However, since this is apparently part of the transformation and something recognized by the system, it means that there is no pain accompanying it. I had no way of actually knowing how it looks, but judging by the reactions on the faces of the people around me, the sight must not have been all that pretty. So maybe not being able to see it myself is a good thing.

And the red liquid dripping from my head is now clearly starting to move and create some sort of new shape over my body.

Drops of blood from across my face gather to farm the strong and muscular jaw, and the blood dripping down my shoulders and hands slowly transforms my slender human arms and fingers into that of the bloodthirsty beast. I really wonder just how horrifying to look at this must have been?

I can feel some sort of bone-like protrusions popping out alongside my back and spine. I am sure that anything that would try to jump at those protrusions would have become impaled in an instant. And there is also something long and slender extending from the lower part of my waist and back, an appendage that is without a shred of a doubt a tail.

And finally, the red liquid covers my eyes completely…… I can feel the liquid warping my skull and changing its structure, adding six eye sockets instead of the usual two. For a moment out there I am unable to see a thing, but then all six of my new eyes open up all at once, and then the bestial eyes surveil the battlefield and everything around me.

「FuuuuuuhhhhhhUUUUUU……」

「Ehhh, umm…… Sanraku? Have you retained your sanity?」

「…………」

Monster Sanraku took a one step closer towards Katsu in complete silence. Katsu took one step back in response.

「You moroooonsssssaaaaaa……」

「No, it doesn’t make much sense what you are saying right now. Could it be that you are confused right about now?」

「No, this is……」

Because I was in a hurry here, I even forgot that I would need to revert my gender back. Of well, not that it really matters what gender you are when you are a bloodthirsty beast. This form…… Unlike the original R.I.P, this form possesses its share of powerful bonuses, but also a whole lot of limitations. But I guess that this is the very nature of this Blood Crown to begin with.

「The time of harvest has comeeee!!! Time to slaughter them aaaallllllAAAAAA!!!!!!」

While my voice changes drastically due to the transformation’s effect, I start running straight ahead. I grab the humanoid dragon by the neck and then I put all of my strength into the grabbing hand.

The dragon gets crushed inside of my palm like straw and shatters into million shining polygons. But instead of disappearing, the shining particles fly towards the skull on my head and get absorbed by it.

「AlriiiiiiiiiggghhhtttttttttaaaaaaaaaAAAAAA!!!!!!」

While returning to my previous position, I pull out the swords that were thrust in the ground. Being ready like that, I make a huge jump in the air and I leap into the battlefield for real this time around.

「How about thaaaaaaattttttt!?」

「A M-Monster!?」

「Whoa, that’s dangerous……!!!」

I’m sorry players! This form is rather big, so sorry in advance if I happen to squash some of you! If you can, please retreat and let me do my job! Otherwise you are just going to be getting in my way!

I throw Memento Mori forward, and it pierces the body of another giant dragon. And then I run towards it and make a flying kick to push the sword into the dragon’s body even further, pinning it to the ground.

「Maybe I should attack its main body as wellAAAAAAHHH!!!」

The White Dragon keeps on producting its offspring here no matter what. Free from danger, under siege, it makes no difference to it. And naturally, the closer I try to get to the White Dragon, the more and more smaller dragons are in my way.

However, now that I can use my whole body as a weapon, I can deal some damage even with the simple action of swinging my tail around.

「FuahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHA……!! Let’s picku up the pace, shalllll weeeAAAHHH!!!」

It’s a red alarm. You should refrain from going out if you can help it. Aside from that, all of the White Dragon-type enemies are going to get crushed and slaughtered and decimated and destroyed!

Memento Mori’s weight reduction effect perishes when the battle ends or when you put it away back in your inventory.

In other words, to put it the other way around, if you stick it around, you can leave the weight reduction effect. It is also possible to hold another weapon while you are being at it!

The technique of leaving the weapon on the spot and fighting seems to be a fairly common technique in ShanFro, but this tactic has the disadvantage that when the player dies, the weapon that is not in hand at that time remains on the spot it was left. So it’s possible to lose it temporarily.

Ownership rights shouldn’t be transferred except for PK, but even without that, you would still have to walk back to where you were killed to get the weapon back. And even then there is a possibility that someone might just take it and go away with it.

Well, in short, it’s just a matter of not getting yourself killed, or being killed in a place where you can quickly go back to, but…… Oh well, not that it matters all that much to me now, anyways.

「Alright! Let’s goo! Full Throttle!!!」

I don’t really like that voice effect here. I don’t know why, but it makes me think that it changes my voice so much that even normal sentences sounds like laughing. Or perhaps like that of an alien……
