「Good evening, everyone. Based on the pact we made as a federation…… as of this moment, the 10 P.M Army is going to help battle against Siegwurm now.」

「Ah, yeah, nice to meet you all and all that jazz. We are the SF—Zoo. I’m most terribly sorry that our leader and top players cannot be here, but as it happens, they are having their hands full with White Dragon over there…… But as they are at the White Dragon, the rest of us can be here! So rest assured!」

「My, oh my, what a commotion? My name is Massive Dynamite from the “Black Sword”. As it happens, Saiga-100-san is a little…… occupied for the moment, so she might be a little bit late to the party.

New players keep on appearing one after another. They are all warrior who were fighting bravely up until this point in time and managed to receive a positive judgement from the golden gravitational sphere. They were all gathered here, baring their weapons in anticipation of the one final battle against the Golden Dragon King.

「Say, umm, you guys…… did you actually managed to tame and break in that…… Black Dragon over there?」

「Huh? Nah, no way! Tame that thing? Are you crazy or something? No, it’s not that! But we have a common enemy so it’s something like this…… The enemy of my enemy is my friend, or something like that? In a huge nutshell, that is.」

「FUHN, I DO GET THE FEELING THAT I’M BEING MADE FUN OF…… BUT NO MATTER! WE SHALL ADRESS THAT TRANSGRESSION ONLY AFTER THIS GOLDEN BASTARD FINALLY EATS DIRT!!!」

For a moment the tension in between the players is on the raise, reaching almost the same levels as during the battle against the Red Dragon, but then it falls down and gradually start to come back to normal.

However, Akitsu Akane then talks to Noirlind in a casual matter, and the already stabilized atmosphere gets heated up once more. However, this time around there was no hostility to be felt in the air. How could they all put it…… right now Noirlind did not seem to them as an all-powerful and dangerous Black Drago, but rather a harmless and amusing tsundere? That kind of thing?

「Huh? Does that mean the Black Dragon is in fact a moe character?」

「I guess that description is pretty accurate, even if it’s not on point.」

「Does that mean it’s possible to tame the other Colored Dragons?」

「No, I don’t think that’s possible. I am pretty sure that some of the members of the Library were scouting out if there were some other ways to interact with the Colored Dragons outside of combat interactions, but so far none of those approaches bore any fruit. …… Maybe there is some hidden parameter at play there that we are not aware of at this point in time?」

In fact, the players who often deal with monster taming are known from raising various hidden parameters associated with given monsters in the wilderness. However, if there was a parameter that was intentionally hidden from the players’ eyes, there was no way for them to be aware of its existence.

「And seeing that neither Arthur Pencilgton nor Saiga-100 is here at the current moment…… I guess that it cannot be helped, then! For the time being, the Leader of 100 P.M Army, Karoshis UQ is going to take command here! Rather, we all want you to lead us!

Some players respond with a cheer to that proclamation, while other were already going forward with the attack on the Golden Dragon King. And at that exact moment Karoshis UQ builds up a strategy in his mind, appropriate branding those who refused to follow his lead as nothing more but “sentient mobs” inside of his head.

Yes, moments like that are what Karoshis UQ likes the best in games like this. Making plans and strategies and seeing them come to a fruition against a powerful opponent certainly is gratifying. And since it is a hobby, it is even funnier than having to wreck your brain in work while also being wary of your Boss or the manager that might skulk just around the corner and jump at you all of a sudden.

「Umm, Akitsu Akane-san…… I hope I got that right?」

「Y-Yes, what is it!?」

「For starters, it is safe to assume that at least during this battle the Black Dragon Noirling is going to be our ally, right?」

「Huh? Umm……」

「…… Oh, please, there’s no need to overthink this so much. What our Leader is trying to say here, is that Noirlind is probably not going to listen to any extreme orders from us, but we can think of it as an ultra Tank or something else like that, right?

While being constantly strengthened by Mold and shooting arrow after arrow here, Rust butts in on the conversation and assesses Noirlind’s military value in as few words as possible in Akitsu Akane’s place.

To tell the truth, the Guilds belonging to the alliance centered around “Wolfgang” are aware that in order to defeat Siegwurm here, Noirlind is the key factor in that strategy. And while not everyone was too pleased with this, they all had to keep up appearences in front of one another.

「Alright, Noirlind is going to lead the charge and us players are going to follow accordingly! And since our force is quite big here, be sure to watch out for friendly fire! We don’t want to take out one another by accident! Magical Artillery group, form up! At first focus on support and then switch to offense once the opportunity presents itself! If you have any question at any given moment, don’t hesitate to ask!」

When comparing the “Black Sword” and “Wolfgang”, which have a high level of strength on their own as well as high-end equipment, the way of “10 P.M Army” is to have more uniform equipment for their members. It emphasizes the ease of keeping pace at the stage of strategy planning, and that is the greatest strength of skilled company slaves.
