Karoshis UQ opens his inventory and after searching through it for a moment he takes out a single item out of it –– a thick, dictionary-like book. He then tears one of its pages and sticks it to his sword without a moment’s hesitation.
Despite there being no fire at all, one of the corners of the page lit ablaze and started burning. Then, the sword started to absorb into itself the pale tongues of flames, greyish smoke and even particles of ashes that remained after the page. Finally, when the page was nothing but gone, the letters covering the sword’s blade turned color from bluish to purple.
「Time for some magic projectiles! “BUBBLE CANNON – CHAIN BUBBLE –“ !!!」
The magic catalyst Ritus that the Sword Mystics use can assume both the form of the sword and that of a cane/staff. And with a catalyst like that it is possible to make the sword for a vessel housing a powerful magic inside of it, all thanks to special items and rituals that make such a feat possible in the first place. Once such a ritual is complete, the sword changes its category into “Magic Sword Vessel”.
Therefore, by skipping a few steps that make the whole ritual much shorter, Karoshis UQ was able to let out a barrage of magic bubbles out of his sword instead of having to normally slash with it over and over again.
「Leader! Right now we cannot use skills only, right? So It should not be that he is completely invulnerable to physical damage, right!?」
「Hikaritori-san! Yes, that should be about it! So if you want to test that out and keep on hitting Siegwurm, makes sure that he has no time to react properly!」

Siegwurm’s form is certainly a large one. So it means that he is an easy target to hit, and his attack should be slow and easy to avoid by the same principle.
As time goes on, more and more people are going to show up on this battlefield where the fight between Siegwurm and Noirlind takes place. And since those players would be those of the production guilds and the ones remembering the old frontline base, it can be said that as the time goes on, the anti-Noirlind faction is going to only gain in both members and firepower. However, since most of the powerful guilds are untied under Arthur Pencilgton’s dark rule right here under Noirlind’s side, the attacks of the production workers should only be considered to be a form of harassment, not necessarily a threat that one has to be afraid of.

This is a game here. Or more specifically, a raid boss battle. A group battle. So it means that while some people are busy with fighting Siegwurm head on, others can take a moment of a break and talk to their neighbors.
Some people even take a moment to take screenshots of the battle. Some people take potions and food to regenerate their HP. And some people have complicated or bitter expressions on their faces for reasons known only to them.

Here there are those who actively focus Siegwurm’s aggro on themselves. Then there are those who run around the field freely, looking to help in any particular way they can. There are those who shoot magic from behind the line of Tanks and there are those who use their swords to make that battle close and personal.
And then there are also those who decided to fight the Black Dragon instead.
「–––––– COME ON! SHOW ME JUST HOW BRIGHT YOUR BRILLIANCE CAN BE! FOR LET IT BE KNOWN, ONLY THE BRILLIANCE OF THE TRUE HERO IS GOING TO BE ABLE TO TRULY STRIKE ME DOWN!!!」
The Golden Dragon King barks, his voice visibly tinted with pure joy.
Even in the past, when the civilization was way more advanced and humans seemed as gods, Siegwurm could not be beaten by anyone. And then the great destruction came about, and as the golden alloy told him, “There was no other way around. It simply had to be done.” But Siegwurm was not so sure about that.
The Golden Dragon King thinks that the reason why the humans of the old age got destroyed was because of their own harmful technology. A technology that was able to turn even the lowly maggot into elite with no effort at all…… What caused their downfall was ultimately their own hubris, the lack of true “Hero” that would make a stand in the time of need.
Could it be that Siegwurm’s fixation on the notion of a Hero is something that started when he was still small, young and foolish? Could it be just a childlike fantasy that got engraved upon his very soul?
Or could it be because he was the only “individual” who continued to fight for all those years, the biggest natural counter to the malevolent primordial forces and the old gods?
Siegwurm was still in the middle of thinking about it all. But as a matter of fact, he was going to finally come to his long awaited conclusion in the not so distant future.
Justice is a concept that, when you get down to it, greatly depends on the assertion of one’s principles. There are many forms of justice and each person can have their very own. But of course, it is not to say that another justice that is not exactly like one’s own is to be considered evil.
It is in human nature that people cannot unify their minds and thoughts. Different people have different opinions on different subjects and when there is a difference in opinions, there is bound to be conflict. But it is also possible to stand by one’s justice and opinion to the very end, not backing down even if the whole world tells you that your justice might actually be wrong.
However, E-Miria is not alone. Her justice is not her own. She has friends who stand by her side. And she has supporters who have her back no matter what.
