It’s not tha Pencilgton was at a loss here. But even she was at a loss here, she would never just go and casually reveal her grand scheme just like that.
So why would she behave just like that? Was she doing that on purpose? Yeah, it must be something like that. When it comes to Pencilgton, nothing is without meaning. So she must have some sort of a hidden agenda that she keeps solely to herself.
「Alright, then let’s do this!」
Even though Katsu seemed to be okay with playing along to a strategy like that, it was kind of like saying: “I know that it may be wrong, but if we have to do it, then we just have to do it”.
As for the matters related to the Green Dragon Brockentreed…… At the current moment the rest of the Human Mandragoras that were alive were hindering the movements of the players while pretending to actually trying to hold back the Green giant dragon. However, once Pencilgton raised her hand in the air and snapped her fingers, their movements came to a halt on a moment’s notice.
「Alright, My Mandies! We are changing the battlefield! Let’s go! Move out!」
「「「IIIIIIIIIYYYYYYAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!」」」
The human mandragoras wearing heavy armor let out a loud cheer.
Just like a conductor leading an orchestra, Pencilgton guides the Human Mandragoras away from the Green Dragon and goes away towards the new battlefield. The human mangragoras obediently followed while letting out quite swooshing sounds as they marched on.
「We have decided to defend for now! We are going to protect the players from Noirlind’s attacks but without actually lifting a finger in the process!」
「Ahh, so you mean the meat wall strategy…… In that case it would be a perfect cover, since no one would suspect a thing and everyone would be content either way.」
A tank is just like a breakwater that stands in the front row to catch enemy attacks and protect those who are behind them, but once they “sit down”, it means more or less that this protection is nowhere to be found and the frontline can waver or even fall apart because of that.
「I really hate it…… In order to negate the damage that Noirlind is doing, we must all work together! Work together, you hear me!?」
The existence of Human Mandragoras is something that both Zenith Guevara and Super Farmer wanted to keep a secret, so the most important matter to them was to control the flow of information on the battlefield. And just to be on the safe side, amongst the players fighting Noirlind there were actually players hired by Pencilgton and role-playing as spies. That way the Human Mandragoras could fight all out against Brockentreed and do not worry about being found out. So Pencilgton could also give them orders while going all out, checking the capabilities of her new soldiers.
「As for what to do next…… Oh, there you are! Perfect timing! Hey! Little Samurai Bunny over there……!」
「Mu, mu, muh! A-Are you perhaps that woman that everyone is calling Pencilgton-dono!?」
Perhaps it is no longer necessary to hide their figures in a place quite like that. Pencilgton reaches a conclusion like that after seeing Vorpal Bunnies such as Diale, Emul and this here Sickle running around freely. Also, while stopping the Samurai Bunny Pencilgton could see people looking like lizard following closely behind him. The humanoid lizards were giving off an aura of intimidation, but Pencilgton still managed to flash them a smile all the same.

I mean, I have heard from Akitsu Akane that Lizard People are going to enter the fray, but seeing that with my own eyes is actually even better than expected…… That’s right, could ypu perhaps do something for me? I would really like for you guys to protect Noirlind while you are being at it.」
「Is that really necessary for us to protect him as well?」
At that moment Pencilgton smiles in a really nasty way while shrugging her shoulders and cocking her head slightly to the side.
「It’s very important for Noiirlind to have his loyal underlings, you know? With that being said…… Thanks a bunch!」
「Muh! Roger that! …… Huh!? What is going on!? Why are you carrying me up like that!? Hey, whoa, let go of me……!!!」
It’s actually funny just how Vorpal Bunnies canbe similar to Sanraku when they are thrashing about like that. …… But when Pencilgton saw the humanoid lizards carrying Sickle away like some sort of a portable shrine, she could not stop thinking about things that were bringing her to worry. And that anxiousness was being reflected in her expression at the current moment.
Is this perhaps okay to let thing escalate out of control like that around here?
No, no it’s not. Pencilgton then slaps her cheeks and lets out a scream of frustration.
When at war, the situation never stays the same and everything changes, sometimes in the blink of an eye…… So when crafting strategies it is the basics of the basics to actually account for some irregular things and happening s that can actually take place. And even then, to what degree can “irregularity” be considered manageable……? And what to do when irregularity occurs out of nowhere?

Pencilgton lets out a cry filled with anger and frustration, but it soon enough melts and combines with the chaotic sounds of the battlefield and disappears for good……
