ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 461: Dragon, Oh Dragon! PART 38 Part 1
「Alright! Let’s go! Formation Full Burst! On the double!!]
「I feel like we should stick around here a little bit more!]
「But at this rate it will be even more difficult to defeat Siegwurm, don’t you think?]
「Hmm, you know what? Yeah! You’ve got a point here!]
「Then there is only one thing left to do here! And things in a flash and be on our way! Let’s do it! Let’s go out with a bang!]
This formation can be said to be a backbone of SF—Zoo ever since the guild was first established. It consists of five tanks standing in front and taking care of any sort of danger that might try to approach the rest of the group, while the about ten Magic Casters sit behind them and get ready to get their part of the job done. And while the tanks here may not be nearly as good as the holder of the title of “Maximum Defense” Joset, but their combined physical defense was nothing to scoff at either. Plus there were five of them, which only served to increase the probability of taking care of any damage that might get thrown their way…… This is what Formation Full Burst is all about. It is one of SF-Zoo’s ultimate trump cards.
「Hey! Everyone, evacuate behind us and stay there!]
「Otherwise you’ll end up getting involved! And nobody wants that to happen, right!?]
Five players spread out equally and form a line. Although they look a little bit clunky and unreliable with the lower parts of their avatars being exposed like that, anyone who has seen them before during this battle against the White Dragon can testify their mobility is second to none. And this is exactly what they all needed to be effective here and win this battle.
Then, by the time the five tanks were set up to surround the White Dragon Bryleinego and her small dragons, all other players escape and back away outside the siege’s area.
「Sign! Umm, let’s wait for the Director…… Alright, now! Throw it up! The smoke screen!]
「Smoke incoming! Five!!!]
「Four!!!]
「Three!!!]
The five tanks spread about in the form of a net to provoke the small dragons into action, causing them to just swirl about inside of the net and being unable to break free from its confines.
And at the exact moment when the countdown done by the tanks managed to reach zero……
「Alright! Here we go!! Let’s do this thing……!!!]

It can be said that the “Hot Blood Gates – Thermopylae –“ is the result of maximizing one’s magic defense. So, going by the very same principle, “Casual Attack – Retaliate –“ is the result of maximizing one’s physical defense. And it just so happens that at the current moment, Retaliate is the most powerful counterattack type of skill that is known in the entire game.
So, what does this skill do, exactly? It returns all of the damage that the casting player has received, doubled over. It also leaves the caster with a buff that strengthens one’s body according to the amount of the damage that the caster initially received.
There are many passive skills that are premised by how the enemy chooses to attack you, but the reason why Causal Attack – Retaliate – is called the highest class is because of the “range” that it initially possesses.
「WHAT THE…… GUGEAH!?!?!?]
「Now! Gooo! Push them in!!! Don’t let even a single one escape!!!]
「No matter how you choose to look at it, this thing looks just like magic to me!]
「Ogogogogogoh! Watch out! If you take it easy even for a single second, you might find yourself getting blown away without mercy……!!!]

「See!? Some of us are already being blown away like it’s nothing!]
There are mighty shockwaves being emitted from the shields of the five tanks, pushing the small dragons back and locking the White Dragon in place. Under those conditions the White Dragon should be unable to do anything.
“Causal Attack – Retaliate -” is a counter skill that shoots a shockwave from the shield of the caster, and the strength of the shockwave is determined by the “total damage amount from the start of battle to the time of activation”. And when the battle starts to drag on and lasts for several hours…… The effect is not all that hard to imagine. What’s more, since those five tanks were present on the battlefield ever since the fights first broke out and they did not take any breaks at all…… Those special circumstances were now creating the effect that was far surpassing anyone’s expectations in here. Or to be more exact, the shockwaves were way stronger than anyone could have imagined.
In fact, the shockwaves were so strong that their power could only be compared to that of jet engines starting to run at full throttle. It is no wonder that some people would just get blown away by the impact and knocked onto the ground like rag dolls.
However, even if you were to erase all that from the equation, all that mattered here was the fact that the impact of the skill was great enough to crush the small dragons or at least cripple or immobilize them. And as long as the players were able to keep the White Dragon in check, it was all worth it.

However, the White Dragon is not so easy of an enemy so that five tanks can take it down all easily and without even breaking a sweat. Realizing what its situation currently is, the White Dragon lets out a tremendous roar and then bends its hind legs, jumping high into the air and leaping away from the dangerous area, breaking free from the shackles of the shockwaves that were binding it down.
Due to the fact that the target of the ability managed to escape in the air and the impact of the skills could no longer be controlled all that well, the five casters decided to either stop the ability from going or forcefully shoot it down. Once this was done and the White Dragon saw that the danger was finally over, it landed back down on the ground.
「I WON’T FORGIVE YOU! I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU, YOU FILTHY MAGGOTS! YOU FIVE INSECTS…… I’M GOING TO GET YOU!!! AND THEN…!!! AND THEN I WILL CRUSH YOU!!! I WILL DEVOUR YOU!!! I WILL COMPLETELY ERASE YOU ALL……!!!「
「The only one who is stupid here is you, Bryleinego! How can you take care of us if you can’t even take proper care of your own offspring! Look how badly you are crushing them under your own feet!」
「GORORORORO!!! THOSE ARE JUST CHILDREN! CHILDREN!!! WHAT DIFFERENCE ONE OR TWO OF THEM MAKE!? I CAN ALWAYS MAKE MORE OF THEM! I MUST ONLY FEEL LIKE IT!!!「
