「Since there are no penalties in here at the current moment, you have no one but yourself to blame for the way we have roughened you up…… Although I must say, you’ve managed to withstand quite a lot of it.」
「Ugh, kuh……」
Akitsu Akane fell on the ground with a loud thud.
It was impossible for Akitsu Akane to win this from the start, and he knew that all too well. After all, one of his opponents was Tenzo of the “Tempura Knights”, one of its strongest players, the user of the “Flying Swords”, a technique that he came up with after clashing with Saiga-100. His manual control of the flying swords was nowhere near that of Saiga-100, but it was good enough for him to be able to dominate PVP battles, and even take on hordes of PK players all at once. So Akitsu Akane was hardly even a challenge here.
Naturally, face with someone like that, it would be impossible for the Noirlind supporters to face off against him in a one on one battle and hope to be victorious. But Akitsut Akane was not dead yet. He was only left with a sliver of his HP left, most probably to feel the weight of the difference in statuses and be crushed by that difference.
「If you were just some kind of rando, we would have just beat you up and left you alone, but…… You are a part of the guild that this blasted Arthur Pencilgton belongs to, right? And what was it just now? A siege battle? As expected, that wretch Pencilgton thinks that she can get her way without putting any effort herself, huh? Talk about an inflated ego.」
「T-That sounds about right…… Winning the fights, without actually fighting…… that sounds just like her……」
However, even if that was true, there was no way for Akitsu Akane to be able to turn this battle around. Unfortunately, he no longer had neither the HP nor the cunning or abilities that would allow him to make a difference…… But even though the difference in skill was so apparent here, this does not mean that Akitsu Akane was about to give up. After all, he takes pride in the fact that he is someone who is going to fight for his dreams until the last breath of his life is exhausted, and no matter how many times he would be made to fall down, he would always get back up, his passion being unable to be extinguished.

Tenzo raises his sword and smiles in a nasty way. However, that smile soon turned into an expression of shock and surprise.
In the next moment, Akitsu Akane’s body was covered by a gigantic shadow and there was the loud sound of something huge landing onto the ground.
「NUUUUUUH……」
「Uwoh!? Noirlind!?」
「YOU’RE AN EYESORE.」
「Obueh!?」
The bodies of the Tempura Knights get smacked from the side and launched in the air, sparing Akitsu Akane his death and letting him live some more for now.
While there was a tremendous amount of damage effects sprouting from his neck, Noirlind watches as Akitsu Akane slowly managed to get himself back up on his feet, and then his face twisted in something that was most probably going to be a smile. Seeing that, Akitsu Akane smiled as well…… and then the two turned towards the rest of the people who were glaring at them tremendously.
「SO MANY INSECTS GATHERED HERE…… IT MAKES ME FEEL SICK THINKING THAT SUCH SMALL FRIES THINK THAT THEY EVEN STAND A CHANCE AGAINST ME……」
「Noirlind……!!」
「BUT UNFORTUNATELY FOR YOU, I DO NOT INTEND TO LET ANY ONE OF YOU TAKE ME HEAD HERE…… HOWEVER, AFTER ALL IS SET AND DONE IN HERE, MAYBE WE CAN THINK OF SOMETHING NICE HERE, SOMETHING THAT WILL LEAVE US ALL SATISFIED……」
「Huh?」
「FUHN, ALTHOUGH THIS WOULD MAKE FOR A RATHER NICE CHANGE OF PACE……!!!」
Noirlind then spread his wings apart and with a few powerful beats he was already gaining altitude and going into the sky. But as it turned out, he must have been weakened severely, because the black giant started to fall down while making wild somersaults.
「Huh? Is it only my imagination, or is he falling right here?」
But the rest of the players never actually picked up on those words, actually being busy with observing the black mass coming towards the ground at a tremendous speed.
「––––––!!!!!!」
Noirlind’s body may have been falling, but it was actually falling towards Siegwurm’s location, letting out a mighty roar filled with anger and hatred.
「Aaahh!!」
A scream leaks out of Akitsu Akane’s throat.
In response, a new wave of lasers is emitted from the sphere of light that rests in front of Siegwurm’s body, penetrating Noirlind in several places. And then……
The right hand of the Golden Dragon King is raised directly above his head, and the force field that spreads flat from there acts as a physical barrier to receive the large mass of falling energy called the Black Dragon Noirlind.
Even though Siegwurm was protecting himself from that sudden blow, he still had to take a step back in order to not fall to the ground himself. But from the point of view of everyone else it only looked as though Noirlind crushed into that energy shield of his and bounced off of it, falling to the ground.
But still. It seems that Noirlind’s attempt at a special attack managed to end up in a complete and utter failure.
「Ugh, my neck hurts so much……」
「Huh…… Shouldn’t my whole body be broken and in pieces here? But somehow only my neck hurts……?」
「What was that supposed to be? Self-destruct?」
Seeing the Black Dragon Noirlind acting in such a way and falling to the ground like a rubber ball after that crash, the majority of players just stood there in silence, not quite sure on how to respond to that.
Noirlind turned over onto his back and was just lying there on the ground like that, not moving even an inch…… or rather, his tongue spilled out of his mouth and his eyes were devoid of light. This broken figure…… It was as though…… as though ––––––
「Huh?」
Akitsu Akane could only let out such a sound of his mouth seeing what has become of Noirlind.
It would have been a huge irony if the mighty Black Dragon were about to die due to a self-destruct attack. But on the other hand, it was something that would only cause you to be a little bit sympathetic for him, even if just a little bit. It caused the Anti—Noirlind faction much confusion, as no one really knew what they were supposed to do in a situation like that.
「…… Well, what the hell was that supposed to be? If this is a pattern of some sort, then it is really strange…… Wouldn’t you say?」
「–––––– So far there is no announcement regarding Noirlind’s subjugation.」
The astonishment of the Anti-Noirlind faction came almost at the exact same time as the message from E-Miria regarding Noirlid. And after Akitsu Akane managed to get closer to Noirlind’s body, what happened was……
「ALRIGHT, LET’S GO! MUGUGU, WHAT A HUMILIATION THAT WAS……! THE STRIDE WAS TOO SMALL THERE! AND I ALSO COULDN’T SEE ALL THAT WELL……!」
「N—Noirlind-san……」
「…… HMPH, FEAR NOT! IT WAS ALL PART OF THE PLAN!」
「Losing your consciousness for a moment included?」
「YOU FOOL! OF COURSE IT WAS!!!」
