「…Uuuhh, alright, Suzaku. Thank you for your hard work here. You can go now and rest.」
「YES, EXHAUSTED. NEED TO, REST MORE. CALL ME, IF YOU WANT TO FLY AGAIN…… WAIT…… I SHALL……」
「…… Oh my God, so cute! Oh gosh, oh gosh, I want to hug you to death, you little cutie pie!」
「Aren’t you the one who is being even more dangerous here? Because you are thinking in that particular way?」
If Suzaku was left untouched here and now as it is, it could have caused a whole lot of problems for the players and the battlefield itself. Not to mention Rust herself, who I think was starting to awaken to something really dark and nasty because of the prolonged contact with the mecha. Fortunately enough, Mold was able to convince Rust to call Suzaku back and for Rust herself to just step back from the battle and have some rest somewhere else.

Thanks to Suzaku’s brave suicide attack…… or rather Rust’s brave and suicidal piloting, Siegwurm’s left eye was crushed into a pulp, never to regain its former shape or ability to perceive reality.
However, even though this action would certainly make a huge impact on the remaining battle, it was of no importance to Akitsu Akane. Truth to be told, she hardly even managed to register that. Her eyes were locked onto Siegwurm, and still could perceive only Siegwurm alone.
For the time being it was okay to go behind Siegwurm’s back so that he would have harder time detecting her, but in order for her to hit the reverse scale she would have to approach him from the front and attack his throat. …… And that is the condition that she has to meet, something that cannot be omitted no matter what.

Being concentrated to the very limit, Akitsu Akane was keeping silent all the time here, which was rather unusual for her. It is one of Akitsu Akane’s peculiarities that came with her from the real world into the game, something that would allow her to remain focused without having to lose it by some stupid accident.

Instead of Akitsu Akane who was unable to speak at the moment, it was Noirlind who screamed those words out loud.
At this point, the players who were distracted by that “something” that came out of the sea returned their eyes to Siegwrum and Akitsu Akane, who made her presence known with that scream.

A series of cracks start to form and run alongside Karoshis UQ’s sword. It took him months of farming and material gathering in order to forge that sword and perfect its use, but right now it was about to end. However, it was his own choice and he had no regrets about it in the least.

「KUUUUUUHHH……!!! “DESTRUCTION CONTRACT: LAST GEARS”!」
The ritual sword Retus shatters on the spot, and from the disappearing grip, a jet-black magic blade was created, shooting towards Siegwurm like a dark Pile Bunker.
「Push it in!!!!!!」
This attack, made from the sacrifice of his beloved weapon, was the signal for all other players to start their own attacks at that same time, focusing all of their efforts onto Siegwurm.

Hearing those words the players started to move aside, even though they had no idea what was going on here. However, they also knew better than to get in the way of a human-dragon hybrid that was shouting with an angry voice like that.
「Let’s hear you roar! Nuuuoooh! Area of Effect Attack…… “TAKE NO MIKAZUCHI”!!!!!!」
The earth rises in a circle all around Siegwrum. And then fresh bamboo shoots start to spring from within the Dragon-flattened earth, separating the players from the Golden Dragon King.
This formation was supposed to separate Siegwurm from the players, but it also served another distinct purpose: it was supposed to create a path that would lead towards Siegwurm, one that would not be cut off or where the ones going through it would be interrupted.
「OOOHHH!!!」
Akitsu Akane started running again, through the carved up paths and steep bamboo slopes, aiming at the reverse scale that was finally within her reach……
「TOO NAÏVE!!!」」
「AGUEH!?」
Siegwurm hits Akitsu Akane with his fist, and being hit with an overwhelming power of propulsion like that Akitsu Akane is being shot backwards. However, instead of flying through the air Akitsu Akane managed to twist her body in such a way that with the help of a certain skill she managed to “land” on the void of the air.
「Not yet!」
Akitsu Akane lets out a second shot of double Dragon Breath helix, but this time around Siegwurm also responds in kind.
「Fugih!?」
Akane Akitsu’s left arm, which was pushed back and could barely avoid her, but failed to escape from her lethal zone, was swallowed by the light and burned.
Akitsu Akane tried to avoid the incoming attack, but she was too slow and her left arm got caught up in it, becoming swallowed up in the bright light and burned to ashes.
However, at the current moment Akitsu Akane was no longer able to stop. And truth to be told, the world around her would not stop and wait for her even if she wanted to take a break here.
「It’s been a while since we have fought like that together, huh? But this time around I won’t try to even compete with you! I’ll be entirely satisfied with the supporting role right now!」

Two swords and six swords. A total of eight swords fly in the air, steered by the Sword Arts of the two fighters. They cut through the air like deadly missiles and close in onto Siegwurm in a matter of seconds.
