Emul-san seemed to be very angry for some reason. And I had a good idea why it was like that. After all, ever since the battle against Siegwurm I have been doing nothing else but continuously ignoring her. So honestly, he had every right to be angry.

「Alright, alright! I admit it! It was bad of me to just up and disappear like that, okay? I admit it! Happy now!?」

But I think that part of the fault lies with the Leviathan here. I mean, I was practically abducted by it, if you think about it logically. And what’s more, it might have been only the first layer, but it was pretty much Lulilas all over again, there I was unable to go back home unless I cleared it first.

「Here, look what I have here! A crispy, delicious carrot, just for you……」

「I’m not so cheap of a Bunny that you can simply buy me off with gifts! So forget about it!」

I really wanted to retort here that up until now that strategy seemed to have worked perfectly every single time, but I decided to give it a rest for now. I guess I have no other way here but to try a different approach. Let’s hope that it will work.

「I mean, just hear me out on this one, okay? Emul, my dear? You may not want to believe this, but inside of that thing, the Leviathan…… It’s really hard in there. And dangerous, to boot.」

「Like, you know? The golems that crawl all over that place might seem like small fries at first, but their numbers? Hoo boy, that’s something crazy! And you know that both Saina and I don’t have any means of range attacking, right? So our fights with them are not nearly as effective as we would like them to be. And Arabaa is…… Well, you know how Araba is, right? Do you have any idea how many times I was wondering just how wonderful it would have been if we had some long range Magic Caster with us to take care of the hordes of those pesky enemies?」

Twitch! I can see Emul’s ears move in a peculiar way.

I mean, the exterior of Techno Magi-Gels is pretty resilient against Magical attacks, so Emul would be pretty much useless in there anyways, but if there is one universal truth of this world that is worth mentioning, it would be this: some things are better left unspoken.

「And since there is no way of fast travelling there, we had to clear the whole thing on foot! You know just how annoying that was? It would have been so much better if there was someone in there with us who could use Teleportation Magic……」

Emul’s ears twitch even harder hearing my words.

Yeah, so much about not being too easy, huh? I let out an overly theatrical sigh, to bolster the effect of my speech. But it was also part of my own reaction.

It is true that escaping the gravity rain and having to avoid the flood of small fries was rather annoying and it forced us to make quite a lot of detours along the way. So it was also true that if there was someone with Teleportation Magic with us, the whole farming process would have been reduced in time quite considerably. The risk factor would have been reduced quite a lot as well.

Oh well, but if I want to repeat the boss battle, I can just use some of the “Ants” to just go from point A to point B without much of a problem.

「You see, I thought that you would be considerate enough to understand why I was gone for so long! It would have been much better and much faster if I had a Super Useful Vorpal Bunny who mastered the way of Teleportation magic at my side! Someone with ultimate attack and defense, who would have made that dungeon seem like a walk in the park!」

「…… Oho, and what’s this? Look what I have here! A First—Grade Sweet Carrot? Every Bunny’s favorite snack? What’s it doing in a place like this?」

「Oh, for crying out loud! I get it! I get it, alright! I guess that it just cannot be helped, huh? I forgive you! After all, the heart benevolent enough to forgive is also a part of what we call a Vorpal Soul!」

You see? In the end, you are just that: an easy Bunny who can be bribed with nothing more but some sweet words and a little expensive gift.

While eating away at the sweet carrot, Emul climbs back at the top of my head where she rightfully belongs. Also on a side note here, it seems that all this time she’s been hiding inside of Skull Azuchi Castle, waiting for me to come out of the Leviathan.

「Hmm……. This thing is not that great, I’m afraid. I might as well slip off of it while you are busy fighting.」

「Yeah, and it’s just that. A helmet with no special effects to it. It’s better to have my good old trusty Mask of the Bird Eye’s View and its ability.」

「You know what, Sanraku-san? Maybe you should really rethink the way in which you pick up things. Both effect and design-wise.」

「They may look dumb, but their effects are all good and have good synergy. So it’s a drawback I am willing to suffer through.」

This dragon scale shines really bright even in the deepest darkness, so it can be used as a good substitute for a light source where you are in the pickle. But if you want to stay hidden, it will make your position known to all of the enemies, so it’s really bad in that particular regard.

Looking out the window of the Skull Azuchi Castle (made out of bone, because why wouldn’t it?) I could see in the distance that the Fish People were gathering near the location of the players, some distance away from the floating Leviathan.

After we got out of the Leviathan and I announced that the Players could have guns in this game, all other Players started to flood the inside of the Leviathan, but at the same time I was forced to part ways with Araba…… Looking at just how fate was bringing us together time after time, I am sure that we are destined to meet again in the future, so I would not worry about this sudden parting all that much.

Oho? Does that mean that we can hope for some kind of human-fish alliance in the future? Are we going to work together from now on? It would be nice to see something like that, I won’t lie.

「Alright then…… It has certainly been a while, so how about we go to Rabbitz?」

「Yeah, sure thing!」

No matter how I try to think about it, summoning the Leviathan are the events that are connected with Setsuna of the Distant Past and Vysache as well. So it would not be all that strange to think that now it’s been summoned here, some sort of new event would happen with one of those characters.

And besides, there is also the matter of my equipment. Everything is in pretty bad shape, so I must go to Bilac’s workshop in order to get it all fixed.

「W-Who in the hell are ya callin’ Sista!?」

When I came to see my blacksmith after a long absence, she was sitting down by some unfamiliar and rugged old man. As for that man, I could not read the atmosphere around him at all, but somehow he reminded me of Urashima Taro. Urashima Taro…… Otoginia…… Tortoise shell shield …… Tamatebako…… Instant Aging…… Ugh, this is too much for my poor head.
