ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 492: The Remnants of the Attempted Apocalyptic Theory Part 1
So in other words, what’s this all about? Are you trying to tell me that Darunyata saw what lies inside of the Amber Crystals, and at the same time as realizing that those are the effects of the highest possible quality he also came to realize just how dangerous they can be? And so he decided to hide them away from everyone else, or “seal” them away? All for the good of Catzeria?
If I remember things correctly, it all must have happened when I was at the level Ninety Nine Extended, or in other words, when I was still just the beginner when it comes to the harsh reality of the New World.
Of course, as long as he gets to work with the jewels, it is true that Darunyata can turn them into the best kind of accessories there are, and I believe that it would be quite an easy task for him to do as well. However, “the best” is a really broad term. It means that the accessories’ effects need to be the best out there, but it would all be of no use to anyone if they were also causing bodily harm at the same time. That would be the opposite of what I was looking for.
I would really like to take this opportunity to ask him why he thought that it would be a whole better idea to instead create an accessory that has the potential to turn the user into a wet blood stain on the wall, but I get a feeling that now is neither the time nor the place to be asking questions like that. And I mean, it was a pretty useful accessory in the end, so I guess that makes it okay…… or at least kind of okay.
「So that is why you were opposed to using it in the first place?」
「Y-Yes, that’s right……」
Now then, how is this whole situation going to develop, I wonder……? We can’t really take back what’s been said and done, but at the very least we now know what was his reason for doing it. And it was all thanks to Vysache’s intervention, no less. So that’s something, I guess.
And while some aspects of this whole case still seem pretty fishy to me, I guess that the poor bastard only did what he did because he had Catzeria’s best interest in mind. I can respect and understand that to some extent, but I don’t know how others might feel about it. It remains to be seen.
「Yes, Nyai? I was originally going to change my mind about you all for the worse, but you are lucky that Darunyata decided to come clean like that without having tried to hide anything more.」
「M-Meow! B-But be that as it may, it is something that cannot possibly be forgiven that easily! There has to be consequences to this, meow! Otherwise it would make for a bad example, meow!」
「But you see…… Now we at least know that he did that because he was simply afraid…… There seems to be no malicious intentions behind his actions. Of that we can be sure……」
Kuh, t-this is it! This is the most important part! By inserting that commentary, the whole situation is about to change! Normally Darunyata would be held guilty here, but now it was all to be changed! His behavior would be deemed as correct and his sins excused! Or at least that’s how it should go, hopefully……

…… Wind? As if the “wind” is wind? Is that it? Now I’m even more confused here.
「Ahh, this is actually so nostalgic, it takes me back to the good old times…… To be precise, it is not only the “Wind” that is sealed there. It is actually the byproduct of Agatreo’s flesh and blood.」
「Agatreo’s flesh and blood……? And what’s that supposed to be……?」
It is certainly not the name of one of the remaining Unique Monsters, that’s for sure. Also, I do not believe that it is the name of some of the Raid Monster, because its name is far too simple for that being the case here. Otherwise this name would have been more complex or at least contained some sort of added noun to it. So if it is not a Unique Monster or a Raid Monster…… Ah, could it be that it is something like that “Red Scale” we have encountered before? But “flesh and blood” and “wind”? Am I the only one in here who fails to understand just how those two things connect with one another? Or is it something that you would eventually get to know through some later lore drops?
「Does that mean that you know who that Agatreo bastard is, Old Man……?」
「Well, of course I know who that is. After all, it’s the last act of courtesy towards your opponent that you can grant them: remember their name after you managed to finally put them down. Wouldn’t you agree?」
Hm? For a moment out there I was getting a feeling that Vysache was casting a short glance towards me for some reason. What was that all about? Was that perhaps something that I was not supposed to know at this point in time? No, somehow I get a feeling that that’s not it here…… But even though it was something of classified information, I know this one thing for sure: whatever that thing was, it was defeated by Vysache and possibly some of his buddies in the past.
「Now then, with all that being said and done…… Darunyata.」
「YES!? WHAT IS IT……!?」
「I happen to know this here Sanraku for a while now, and I can vouch for him that he means no harm to anyone. Quite honestly, I don’t even know how you even managed to arrive at the conclusion that he might be a threat to Catzeria in the first place. But I guess it is just another one of your bad habits, and a one that you should definitely try to work on in the future…… But Rabbitz is going to have some really big jobs coming your way in the near future, so I am willing to let the bygones be bygones, as long as you promise to work exceptionally hard on those big jobs for us. You will certainly be busy, but you surely don’t mind that, do you?」
