Sword Drawing Techniques “Tachikaze”…… amongst many of the ultra-fast or instantaneous attacks that the Gravekeeper Weathermon possessed in its arsenal, this one was the fastest of them all and would always guarantee a kill if it managed to catch you even a little bit off guard. You could even call it his staple move.
Instant drawing of the sword, instant slashing using the sword, and instant sheathing the sword back…… making all of those things the fastest would also guarantee you to be the strongest, am I right? And it was just a blade like that that aimed at my neck at a lightning fast speed, and even though it was not the first time that I have seen it, it was still so fast that I could not possibly perceive the movement of the blade. And to be honest, after that battle a few months back I have never even thought that I would have to go against something like that ever again.
However, at that exact point I also came to realize something else here……

It might not be the perfect reproduction of that battle, but I am still convinced that there is no sure-fire ways of protecting myself against “Tachikaze” at all times. However, ever since this “battle” started and the first attack came flying there was no change in my stats and level, which I could confirm at this very moment as well…… This monster might look like Gravekkeper Weathermon and it might use the same attack patterns as that Unique Monster. However, the thing right before me is not the real Gravekeeper Weathermon. It’s only a copy. A really well-made, but still a copy.
At the very least, without the cheat ability to level his opponent down, the instant death ultra-fast attack that is “Tachikaze” can be knocked down a little bit, but only to the level of “Extremely Dangerous, Ultra-Fast Attack”. It’s not much, but it’s still better than nothing. But this brings rise to a few questions here: how do I go about beating it? Or how can I endure those attacks? After all, they are pretty brutal in and out of themselves. …… No, that’s not the point right now. Right now I should be grateful for the opportunity of being able to fight back against those brutal attacks in the first place.
「The question here is: am I going to be able to overcome Weathermon all on my own, with all of his attacks and gimmicks included? I mean, I have leveled up considerably ever since then, but still……」
I’m not saying here that Weathermon’s gimmicks and attacks have become trivial right now, but it surely raises some really important questions. I mean, the first time around we encountered him it was pretty much an event battle. Or at the very least, it was a fight that was completely different from the battles that the players were used to having.
Yes, for example…… I wonder how this battle would have gone if I wasn’t downgraded at that time? How would it go if I could go against the Gravekeeper Weathermon at the absolute apex of my power? Let’s find out!
「Come on, Weathermon, you little bastard! Do you think that I am the same kind of person that I was at that time? Wrong! I have changed since then! I am pretty strong right now!

「That throw! Don’t think that it will catch me by surprise anymore! I have seen it enough times already to know what to expect out of it!」
The reproduction of Weathermon instantly switches into the new attack and its huge body moves towards me all at once! If I were to just sit around and wait for him to do what he was going to do, I would have been grabbed by the neck and then slammed against the ground without actually having any time to do something about it. However, the way that I am now I can follow behind the movements of this Unique Monster, and I can most definitely fight back against it while avoiding it at the same time!

I switch to dual swords and throw them in the air, and then I activate a bunch of my skills in quick succession. Then I top it all off with grabbing a firm hold of Aradval Rebuild that I just took out of my inventory. I must say, the movement of my hands when it comes to inventory management have improved quite a bit.
The Deadly Secret Technique “Tachikiri Wakachi”, an attack skill that allows for some amount of freedom when it’s being used, because it can be activated as both one-handed sword skill and a two-handed sword skill. Using that, I make a quick slash across Weathermon’s upper arms, waiting to see what it would accomplish here. Then I put the Aradval Rebuild away and catch the falling twin swords in my hands, following the previous attack with a flurry of quick attacks with those swords right now, unleashing a storm of swords attacks at the reproduced Weathermon.
「What’s wrong, what’s wrong!? Is that all that you’ve got!?」
「Thundercloud!」
「If so, be my guest! The speed of that attack is about the same, anyways!」
Let’s see how you will like it when I activate my Levin Trigger / Disaster Hand, a skill that was previously still unavailable to me! This is the power of the black lightning, accelerating my body excessively! Next I activate the Quantum Gaze to give myself some extra leverage, and from that skill alone I can see quite a huge number of “deadly” attacks that are soon to be unleashed my way. However, those are slow. Way too slow. And you can have all the DPS in the world, but unless you are going to hit me with it, then they are next to useless!
「Let’s see if you can imitate this!」
With that, I start circling around the reproduced Weathermon over and over again. Making close and tight circles around the enemy like that required an extreme amount of both precision and control, but I had time before to properly train moving about in the world of increased speed! At the same time I draw my sword and start to trace a single line all over Weathermon’s body over and over and over again. However, if you try to intercept the trajectory painted by the brush, then you will never be able to catch the brush itself! A lightning-fast strike comes with a tracking, but it falls in the place where I was standing a second ago! And while he was continuing to miss his attacks, I was only getting started on my own offense!

While the reproduced Weathermon keeps on trying to connect one of his attacks, I started to swing my double golden swords at the upper part of his body once more. However, the net attacks of Weathermon that actually managed to connect with me passed right through “me”. As it turned out, it was just a hallucination…… And while Utsurou Mikagami was still in effect, I was actually standing right behind it, brandishing the Hundred-Legged Centipede Cannon Eight Zero Point Five Thousand.
