ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 523: An Orchestra Just For You PART 5 Part 1

I do believe that it is something that is obvious, but nonetheless it needs to be stated here: should I fail to satisfy the conditions needed to clear this boss battle, this whole Orchestra thing is most probably going to keep on going, lasting without end in sight. However, what is going to happen once I manage to fulfill all the conditions? Will the battle come to an actual end? Or will I perhaps be forced to battle against the real Unique Monster Orchestra……?

For the time being the crisis managed to be avoided. So while I was climbing the slopes of the audience seats while the theatre slowly started to return back to normal, I chugged down a few HP recovery potions in a hurry. I really needed to put some much needed distance between myself and the two monsters, especially since the Tri-Headed Tyranno once more looked as though it was about to send the sticky and fiery surprise the Great Red Devourer’s way. But I guess I have others. More pressing matters that needed to be attended to: for you see, it seems that the Great Red Devourer has finally decided to switch into its final form of a red tornado. And just like that, it was waiting for us to play with it some more.

「––––––– RUNNING THROUGH! THE SEA OF BURNING FLAMES SPREADS AS FAR AS THE EYE COULD SEE!」

「Oh yeah! Give me some more of that good Napalm stuff! Let it open up the way!」

If I remember things correctly, and I think I do, right about now this Napalm Strike should be more than enough to create a path for me to follow, as well as forcing the Great Red Devourer in a state of a slight frenzy…… This is the kind of opportunity that I need. Using the opening that the Napalm Strike has created, I shall attack the mouth on the chest of the Great Red Devourer, forcing it open and attacking whatever it is that was hidden inside of it.

Now, what follows after that? Certainly, I’m sure that it had something to do with that perverted Deepslaughter, but what was that……? Huh? No, wait just a moment here. Yeah, I remember it clearly now. At that time, she certainly……!

「–––––– TWO FIGURES, WRAPPED IN THE DARKNESS. THE MAIDEN TAKES CHARGE AND GOES FORWARD, SACRIFICING HER LIE AND MAKING THIS EARTH HER GRAVE MARKER.」

「Oh shit!!! I messed up! I messed up big time!!!」

Gaah! I was deceived! My own memory happened to play me for a fool! What the hell is this, elderly dementia!? Could it be that I have mistook that memory for something else!? Like what happened during the battle against that blasted White Dragon!? Because it was all somewhat similar!? W-Whoa there! Whoa now! Time out! Time out, you hear me!? …… Is that a no, then? No time out?

「You fucking asshole! Don’t you dare to underestimate me even for a moment!」

I jumped forward from one seat to another, and while I was still in mid-air I took out the Holy Grail from my inventory and used it without the slightest hesitation. I then quickly put on some disposable woman armor and activated R.I.P thanks to some quick window maneuvering, and then all it was left for me to do was to let the item do its usual transformation thing.

Then, as the black mist started to form all around my body, I jumped in the air once more, but this time around landing straight onto the Tri-Headed Tyranno’s back.

「And just like that! Transformation Completed!」

Memento Mori is here once more, ready for some action! However, I seem to have forgotten about one very important thing here: that in this form my physique changes quite a bit, and so does my center of gravity! And after all this time…… so heavy!! What the, I do not remember those things to be this heavy! Ahh! And what about my kill score!? Am I even going to be able to keep it up at this rate!?

The longer I was thinking about it, the more I was starting to realize that I have made quite a big blunder here!

「Uwaah!? Whoa there! Wait just a freaking second! I said wait! W-Wait, for fucks sake, are you deaf or something!?」

And there is also one more fatal mistake that I have made right about now. Memento Mori possesses the ability that allows the user to perceive the weight of certain things in a distorted sense, making those things lighter than they actually are. In other words, right about now I felt heavier for a second only to now feel as light as a feather, but like this even the slightest shake is more than enough to cause me to go off balance. Especially since right now I hold onto the oversized sword that normally would be a slab of raw metal that you would be unable to swing around. Normally it would be considered and advantage because I would have been able to deal more damage with a powerful weapon more easily, but in my current state it only came out to be a liability, mostly because of the place that was creating my current “foothold”, which is the tri-headed tyranno’s back.

The Tri-Headed Tyranno starts to move forward, and the shaking on its back is so strong that I am having a really hard time to actually hold my balance on top of its back. Needless to say, it would take only one moment right now for me to completely lose my balance and fall to the ground, which was a scenario I would like to avoid at all cost if I could help it.

But in the very next moment, just that happens.

「Woah there!」

And once I hit that ground hard, I can see and feel that there are long and thick nails being stomped right next to my face! Whoa there! Watch it! And I’d better get a move on from here if I don’t want to get flattened like a pancake!

「Ugh!」

How about my body!? Can I move it? Upper body? Checked! Lower body? Checked! Alright! So get a move on!

「Hyeah!?」

And now I even know how it feels to dance all over the floor. Not that I ever wanted to know what that feels like, but…… Hey! I guess that you learn something new every day! But this is problematic. Because now I need to proceed forward while also having to watch out for the Tri-Headed Tyranno’s feet to not accidentally stomp all over me. And this brings us to a whole new set of problems.
