There are so many gimmicks when it comes to games in this world that the more you see them, the lower the difficulty becomes, because sometimes you simply learn to expect what’s about to come your way.

From there, it was all happening so fast that I couldn’t make out what was happening, but there was no need for me to. Now I was sure that it was not a mistake. Flute holding humanoid disappears, trumpet holding humanoid disappears, cymbal holding humanoid disappears, every single member of the orchestra starts to disappear one by one…… .. What is happening here? It’s the final chapter, but the members of the orchestra are disappearing? ……Could it be that I activated some sort of a bad flag? Or is it just a mere preparation for what is to come?
Before I even knew it, only a few members of the orchestra were left on the field. The cello holding the humanoid disappeared. Only five…… four…… three…… two…… one member remaining……

The Diva spoke up? No, that’s not it. It must have been just a part of the lyrics, or so it would seem.

I know what that Diva is saying, but the meaning of her song keeps on eluding me all the time. However, Diva keeps on singing, her voice echoes throughout the theatre.

The Orchestra is not limited to the “Diva” alone. However, the “Diva” is only one present at all times. And right now, only one violinist remains as well. Everyone else is nowhere to be seen any more.
Now, what is going to happen? I know for a fact that something is bound to happen now, but the question is: what? It’s useless to even phantom a guess at this point, for it could be literally anything. I guess that we are going to see soon enough.

Hearing those words, I can feel a sudden chill starting to run down my spine. I took a look around me in a hurry, but there was not a single change when it came to the audience seats. The theatre is as empty and as silent as it has always been from the very beginning. However…… What is this even, this sudden feeling of dread? It feels as though many eyes are watching me closely.

The “Diva” sticks her right hand forward, and a strange bright light starts gathering on top of her palm while she is saying those words. At first I thought it might be an attack of some sort, but that was not it. It was way too weird and way too specific to be just a normal attack.
Then the light starts to converge in a single point, and starts to change its shape. I cannot be sure from this distance, but it is clearly not a weapon. This is……
「–––––– A TRAVELER FROM FAR AWAY, HAVING COME A LONG ROAD. ALWAYS ON THE MOVE, NEVER TO STAY IN ONE PLACE FOR LONG. MANY EYES HAVING WITNESSED MANY WORLDS. THE ONE AND ONLY “MIGRATORY BIRD”……」
That thing, it surely is a mask. It is a bird mask with a beak looking just like the one that plague doctors would use. But what exactly is that thing, I wonder?
「And inside of those eye sockets…… Are those flames?」
Originally I was only able to see from the distance that this mask looked like a bird head and that apparently its eyes were all on fire. Kind of a poor taste, really, but who am I to judge?
However, there was something about those “eyes”. Because there, inside of the flames, there was another set of eyes, always moving and always changing, never settling down and never retaining the same shape for more than a moment.
And then the situation develops further. But since I cannot exactly interfere with the “Diva”, and I tried to do that on numerous occasions, I could only watch the scene that was unfolding right in front of my very eyes.

There is only one violinist left in here, and even then the violin disappears from his hands. Not that he seemed to mind that at all. Instead, the violinist starts to walk forward, kneeling down in front of the “Diva”.
「–––––– STAND UP, MY HERO. STAND UP AND DO BATTLE IN PLACE OF US, WHO CAN ONLY SING PRAISES OF YOU……!」

What the hell is happening here?
It’s like a squire being knighted by the King himself. Or it’s like the king who is being given his divine right to rule by God itself.
A humanoid figure who reverently receives the golden flame bird face mask created by “Diva” and slowly wears it. Just as an absolute superior being brings power to those who serve under it. Immediately after, there’s a change in this humanoid figure that starts to occur.
First it was just a faint outline. Then that faint outline formed a clear shape. The body shape also changes from a non-individual one to a slender and tall one.
I don’t know the face with a mask like that, but the human figure whose hairstyle has changed from being so slender…… It even has two golden swords, clasping them in both hands, and dancing its way into the Coliseum, ready to point the right sword right at me!
「Are you fucking kidding me? Oi! What the hell is that supposed to be!?」

I can see it clearly because we are sharing the same stage now. The golden mask with its eyes wide open, and a pair of other colorful “eyes” looking at me with curiosity.
