ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 526 Part 2
ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 526: An Orchestra Just For You PART 8 Part 2
It is still better than the long-term battle hell that Siegwurm brought to the entire playerbase. Or the ordeal that Kutanid of the Abyss was. So the Atlantic Reaperorca was still the lesser of two evils here. But please try to understand the feelings of someone who is forced to do a long battle after a long battle, only to know that yet another long battle awaits him? Or do you honestly want me to just go and say that to you word for word here? Because I can do a whole lecture on that, but I expect you to write a paper based on that that is at least fifty pages long! Maybe then you will finally understand!
However, the fact that the enemies here are perfect reproductions makes the battles against them even more shitty than they were in the first place. Normally it would be my job to simply defeat the Orchestra and beat its ass to the ground, but it was not so easy here. I knew what I had to do, but……. There were still some conditions that stood in my way of doing just that. And that’s the worst feeling in the entire world.
In the case of Atlantic Reperorca, that kind of annoyance would be its attack from the sky with a beam reflection, or that AoE discharge attack, and they would require special tactics to handle them properly.
There is also one more problem here: until I defeat the Orchestra I cannot really back away from this place, because coming back here would be kind of a drag to do now, even with teleportation. However, the more I fight here, the more I am going to have my own weapons battered and destroyed. And if Break sees that I have destroyed her precious creations, I am going to have to listen to another sermon of hers and my shins might become severely damaged as a result. That is why I must wrap things up here quickly, so that my weapons and equipment will suffer as little damage as possible.
And since I have the monopoly on materials from this thing, I was exclusively selling them to the “Golden Scale” Company. And because I needed to farm quite a lot of them, I have become quite proficient at handling this monster on my own…… I guess it’s only natural it would become like that.
I also needed to see and confirm a few things here regarding how Orchestra works. Namely, does the gender of the player have anything to do with its “resets”? Or do the weapons equipped make any sort of a difference? It would be good to know those things just for future reference.
Unfortunately, the Durability of weapons does not recover in between the battles, and the current HP and status effects carry over as well, without going back to their maximum values. It is something that is quite regrettable, but it’s not the end of the world and I can live with that. It would be better not to be late…… Oh well, enough of the monologue for now. Because look at that! The recreated “me” is about to show up! Let’s greet him accordingly!
[Well then now…… It’s not been all that long since we have last seen one another, but…… Have you gotten yourself a new haircut? I get a feeling that you did.]
[………………]
So, you’re not going to talk to me no matter what, huh……? You are just going to start equipping that mask of yours, completely ignoring me? But now that I think about it, wouldn’t that be a great opportunity right here?
[It’s a well-known thing to not attack someone who’s transforming, but……! I’m not going to let that opportunity go to waste!]
[………………]
Our movements are completely the same, so I wonder if it is going to match this thing as well? I do not know, but I still take out the black crystal and the Holy Grail. And once my transformation into a woman wearing a black gown is finished, I wear a skull crown on top of my head.
[BLOOD HEART!!!]
[…………!!!!!!]
The other “me” says nothing to it, but the reaction of its body is more than enough to inform me that it just unleashed the very same kind of power I did.
I was curious about that, but how does the other “me” even manage to have flames burn inside of the eye sockets of its mask? Could it be connected to oxygen in some way or another? But wouldn’t that make the inside of the mask a breeding ground for carbon dioxide?
[Alriiiighttt…… Heeereee weee goo……!!!]
[…………]
[First goes the Rock……]
Rock…… Paper…… and then……
[Eat shit and die, you bastaaaaaaaaard!!!!!!!!!]
When it comes to the Last Chapter of the Orchestra’s Heroic Epic, I have maybe one advantage over the reproduced “me”. Something that this thing may find hard to reproduce.
When it comes to R.I.P’s cumulative effect, it has a certain interesting rule: once you cancel your transformation into female, this effect is bound to be reset. But this time around things are a little bit different. This oversized sword’s cumulative effect of becoming lighter in weight is not eligible for a reset. That is, the other “me” should not be eligible for a lighter weapon, since it did not go through a boss rush that I did on my way here!
However, the choice of the other “me” in this situation was to take out the huge Tower Shield, as if it was aware of the weight difference and considered its options in this situation. However, this Tower Shield’s only upside is the raw physical defense it grants to the player, and in my hands alone it would have been very difficult to handle it properly.
But why? Why such an item? That shield alone should not even compare to the status that the R.I.P can grant, but maybe with some additional items such as the Blood Crown or something like that…… No, wait! That’s not it! There is a way! The Blue Holy Grail! Of course!
[Now, what stat did you replace it with!? Was it Agility!? Or maybe Luck, huh!?]
If you want to have a go at trying to conquer a fortress that no one else before you was able to conquer, you cannot simply rely on Strength stat alone. It would only result in you crushing against its walls, without being able to achieve anything. And I am going to show it to the other “me”. I’m going to show it that there is more to fighting than just randomly swinging your sword around and copying someone! That is why I raise my shield and prepare Aradval Rebuild behind it.
[………………]
[You utter fool!]
Burning Hypothesis Number Four: Burning is certainly considered to be a skill, but the phenomenon behind its mechanism is most certainly classified as a magic attack! Now I wonder, what is going to happen if I decide to defend against it using Dis Pater shield!?
[“EXCESSIVE MECHANISM – Exceed Charge – !!!”]
Let’s just keep on pushing just like this and see what is going to come out of it!
