「Even though his legs were so weak and wobbly, with each and every single step now they started to regain their vigor. He clenches his hands tightly, doing it so strongly that both blood and sweat drip from them! There is a newly rekindled fire in his eyes, when he glares daggers towards his opponent!
「Ooohhh!!! Dolodana!」
「Truly, you are the greatest amongst the Heroes of the Giant Tribes!」
「No matter if it is a spear, or if it is a sword! You are still a Great Hero!」
「To be able to overcome the decaying blood and flesh with the fiery spirit alone! No one would be able to do that but Dolodana himself!」
Are we even talking about an actual person!? Or maybe we are talking about some kind of human-shaped monster!? At this point in time, when the tensions are running so high, there is no longer any way for me to tell the difference!
I then strike the unsheathed Aradval Rebuild against the ground with all of my might. Maybe that will help this sorry lot to actually calm down.
「Just as one might expect, the last blow that Dolodana ever dealt was not against Goldunine, but rather against the dragon snake. He hit it with all of his might, striking the creature deep in its back…… It was not nearly enough to burn the beast, but the scorching blade bit into the snake’s flesh…… Never come out of it again.」
「Fare thee well, Aradval. Fare thee well. Farewell, Dolodana. The sword sticks out of the snake’s back without words, and the Hero falls dead without saying any last words……」
Phew…… It’s been a long tale, but now it’s finally over. I don’t know why, but I feel like a candle who’s knot is about to all go out any minute now.

Many more people dared to challenge Goldunine, but time after time the foul beast emerged victorious, its poison continuing to corrupt the earth and its hatred growing. There was a moment of painful silence in the place we were currently at. I somewhat read the mood here and pulled up Aradval from the ground, hiding it away in its scabbard. Thankfully, its heat did not manage to melt the solid ground here all that much.
Then, the sound of Aradval’s blade being completely hidden away in the scabbard worked just like a magic switch……
「…… !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!」
What followed was a great roar and cheer, much louder and greater than anything a human would be capable of. It was hardly a surprise here, since giants had the lungs capacity several times greater than that of ordinary humans. So it was no exaggeration that the entire surroundings shook from that roar.
「…… Kyuh.」
「E-Emul, you idiot!」
Even though it was a sound made by a Vorpal Bunny, it was more than enough to cause the overly excited Giants into a state of high alert. This on the other hand caused Emul to go limp with fear. Some of the giants raised their weapons, some of them let out tremendous battle cries, while others seemingly oblivious to what was happening were wailing and letting out literal waterfalls of tears out of their eyes.
「Uguh, fuguh, uuuuuuuuuggggggggghhhhhhhhh……」
「No, no, no, no, no…… No one cries like that! Are you being serious here!?」
「Uuuuuuuuugggggggggaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh………!!!!!!!!!」
Phione, one of the Giantesses, had a squishy look all over her face. But not only women were crying. Some of the bearded Giants were letting out tears as well, their faces and beards covered in snot. It was one hell of a picture to witness, let me tell you that.
「Ah…… Should I, you know? Give you some time? Come back later?」
「No…… No, it’s okay, there’s no need. Sanraku of Aradval…… Thank you for telling us all about that. About how Dolodana came to meet his end at the end of Dordana.”
No, I mean, about ninety percent of that was my imagination and dramatization running wild, as well as my personal opinions and impressions. It’s just a theory that I have come to consider as truth, mostly because I have witnessed Goldunine’s power firsthand and I could kind of imagine what that Giant Hero had to go through. But they do not need to know about that.
Was it a spectacular defeat? I think that it was just that, but the romanticism in my heart desperately wants to deny that. Besides, this is a game that we are playing here. I wish to see something other than in real life. So a little bit of fantasy never hurt anyone, right?
Then the other Giantess, the one who cried so much that her eyes were now all red and swollen, looked at me after a few moments of silent meditation.

Seriously now, who would have thought that I am going to stumble upon a part of the “Epic of the Vorpal Bunnies” in a place such as this? No, but if we were to think about it from the meta perspective…… meta perspective…… Yes, even though I have that quest activated, there were always way too few hints telling me how to actually proceed with that particular quest. And at the current moment I am seriously starting to think that it might actually be a quest that is deeply connected to clearing all of other Unique Scenarios EX.
「…… Good, that’s actually really good. Then why don’t we hear all about it in a moment or so? But before we do just that……」
「Yeah…… All of that talking must have made you thirsty. So how about a drink? It will be my treat.」

What did I come here to do in the first place? Because of everything that transpired so far I was having some real trouble actually remembering.
