ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 536: An Orchestra Just For You PART 16 Part 2
For some bizarre reason, Saiga-san’s body stopped moving after she managed to utter those words. And then she began to shake and sway from side to side, just like a lunatic would…… S-Saiga-san!? Y-You’re not having a seizure in the middle of the street, aren’t you!?
「H-Huh!? S-Saiga-san!? Is everything alright!? Whoa there, why are you having a nosebleed completely out of the blue!?」
「I-It’s nothing major. Just a small injury. Please, don’t worry about it. It may look bad, but did you know that no major blood vessel is connected to the human nose? So if I just take some quick countermeasures, it will be alright. See? Everything is better now!」
「No, I mean, you say that it is just a scratch, but think about it from a social point of view! This may very well be a critical hit, if you know what I mean!」
This is neither a hospital nor a battlefield! Saiga-san is just a normal high school girl, not some sort of a superhuman! There are kinds of bacteria outside that might cause harm to your body without you actually knowing about it! So don’t underestimate small injuries, even if they may seem to be just a simple nosebleed!
「No, it’s really alright, I mean it! It was certainly not that I am some kind of pervert who gets off on simulations of the nearby future that I myself have been playing on loop inside of my head! No! Nothing like that! …… Now then, I know that this may be sudden, but please excuse me for just a moment!」
Said Saiga-san while turning away from me and crouching down in the shadow of the nearby telephone pole. She then took out a handkerchief from the inside of her skirt’s pocket and put it towards her face…… No, please don’t tell me…… Is she actually going to……!?
「FUPSHYUUU!!!」
「…… Huh???」
「…… There. Now I’m all good…… you see?」
「…… HUH!?」
Saiga-san’s nosebleed…… It has miraculously come to a stop……!? What kind of magic trick is this!?
「Just a little bit of…… self-provoked hemostasis. That’s all. Nothing all that special to get yourself worked up about.」
Let me reiterate, for I don’t even know what time now…… The Saiga family really is amazing. In a whole lot of different meanings of the word.
As of today, a certain theory has sprung to life inside of my head: what if the “Saiga” family was actually a descendant of “Iga” and “Koga”……? That would make perfect sense, don’t you think?

Because of the recent developments, part of which was Akitsu Akane becoming that monster-player hybrid that everyone considered to be a secret side profession, and Imron getting her ass handed to her by Break on a silver platter in a blacksmithing contest. But even amidst all that noise and commotion I had something that I needed to take care of.
「Big Bro, I have recently made contact with the Giants and I managed to befriend them…… And they were also kind enough to inform me about those old promises between you and them.」
「Ah, yes, just as I thought. It was honestly just a matter of time……」
「And then, the Chief of the Giant Tribes have told me…… about some old legends that are being passed down from one generation to the next.」

Come on, Big Bro. You actually know what I am going to talk to you about, no? Please, don’t try to pretend that you have no idea. However, unlike his many children who are always quite expressive about every single thing, this Gangster Bunny always has a smile on his face, because of which it is actually hard to guess what his real intentions are or what he is currently thinking about.
And so, it is really difficult for me to guess in the current situation just how much he knows, and what he does not know. I would really like to hazard a guess that he knows it all and left that map for the future Pioneers that were about to come here somewhere in the future, but the problem with that theory is such that I have no idea in what way it would correlate to the current Unique Scenario that I am trying to push forward here.
「I was also told to pass this message onto you…… It’s a fate worse than death, becoming forgotten.」
「…… Huh, is that so? I guess that’s true.」
And then there was silence.
The faintly purple smoke from Weissash’s pipe went up in the air and then slowly dissipated. …… And then finally, Weissash opened up his mouth.
「Those guys…… What a bunch of nonsense, but I guess that those guys always had a way with their words. We should really get together sometime and raise a cup or two for the sake of good old times……」

No matter how far you try to reach into a person’s past, at the current moment it is something that is not important. However, if Vysache decides to talk about it, then I will just listen, without interrupting much.
「It’s an old and really damp memory, I may have trouble remembering bits and pieces……」
「Yeah, no kidding……」
「But more importantly, Sanraku…… You, it seems that you current endeavour is taking you a whole lot more time than you would have initially expected, huh?」
I wanted to ask him what his deal was here, but there was actually no need for me to do that.
「Even though it’s really embarrassing……」
「It seems that they are trying to distort you from the path that you are trying to follow. And frankly, we won’t do anything to try to make them change their approach. Let them try their worst……」
However, at this very moment Weissash pointed his pipe at me. He then blew into the pipe, sending ashes and embers into the air, where they shone red and crimson for a moment before they eventually died down and disappeared without a trace.
「By only listening, there is no hope for you to ever be able to best the Orchestra in battle.」
「Yeah, I appreciate you saying that, but it was really not all that helpful. Quite the opposite, actually. Painstakingly so.」
「Kakaka…… It looks to me like you have been engulfed in it. So, it looks like the fog has not cleared yet, huh?」
Yeah, and here we go, another encrypted message the meaning of which keeps on escaping me. Could it be some sort of Orchestra-related password, or simply a convoluted words of encouragement? However, he makes the Orchestra sound so simple, when it is not simple at all. If so, would you care to slay that thing for me, hmm?
Does that mean that you have to put something into the music player before the battle even begins? No, that solution seems like something that is totally out of the question. But the Orchestra is already a pretty vague Unique Monster, so why would Weissash even present me with a vague and unclear clue as to what to do?
「………」
Perhaps there was some kind of joy that Weissash was able to derive from that, because I could swear that I have seen the corners of Weissash’s lips turning upwards in a genuine smile. Then he began to sway from side to side, as if he was trying to draw something in the air with the smoke coming from his pipe. And then he spoke up those words:
「It’s just like trying to cleave the wind in half or trying to find your way through the raging whirlpool…… And we shall always be waiting for you.」
「………???」
「When that time comes, I shall lend you power so immensely strong that you wouldn’t be able to actually comprehend it.」
Hyuhn! Weissash swings his pipe down, cutting the trail of purple smoke cleanly in half, as if he was doing that with a sword.
The trail of smoke that’s been cleaved in half is being blown away by the wind, gently stroking my cheeks all the while.
For some bizarre reason I feel as if my cheeks have been licked by some huge and grotesquely rough tongue…… I wonder: what could exactly be the cause of those chills that’s been running down my spine for a while now?
