ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 541: An Orchestra Just For You PART 21 Part 1

Crystal Scorpions means more or less bonus time, that’s how fast I can clear them. Fortress Spiders means a hard time for me. But at least the loot is good, so I can’t really complain all that much. And the Emperor Scorpions may seem intimidating at first, but they are more or less a bonus time as well. And that’s about the gist of it.

「I get a kind of nostalgic vibe from all this for some reason…… But, with all that being said, this is starting to get a little bit troublesome, I won’t lie……!」

A poisonous sword sticks out of the floor of the theater and then it explodes after a moment of brief inactivity. As a result of that action, a wave of poisonous discharge invades the theater and fills it up almost completely, and needless to say touching that even for a short moment means more or less that you will start to lose HP at an alarming rate.

Ooohh, who would have thought that I am going to see YOU of all people in a place like this! Say, Ex-Tsuchinoko Goldunine, did you miss me? Because I surely did not miss you! How about you get the hell out of here and you do something useful to society, like going after your big sister and murdering her for us? It would certainly save us a whole lot of trouble!

However, this may seem troublesome at first, but it shouldn’t be all too hard. I mean, I still have both Kinsho and Meiki on me, so it should be relatively easy. I just combine the two together, use their special ability to collect poison crystals and once the gauge is all nice and filled up I smash it across the chest with an empowered “Tachikaze”. And that should be the end of it. As simple as that.

However, the main “trouble” that I am facing right now is not the poisonous discharge or the reproduced Tsuchinoko Goldunine itself……

「Hey! If you are going to move, then at the very least try doing that without any bugs, Sigma! This is starting to be really annoying!」

「I-I…… I am deeply…… Calculating. Scrutinizing. Processing. Interrupting. Restarting. …… Suspending Action. Calculating again. Calculating again. …… R-Rejecting……」

「Kuh……! See!? Told you so, didn’t I!? This is what happens when a freaking piece of scrap becomes a Piece of Scrap for real! You are only getting in the way now! If you want to help, then at least try not to get in my way!」

And you! You freaking snake woman! Don’t you even dare to underestimate me! You’ll see soon enough! With enough effort put into it, I can blow you away easily! With nothing more but a one blow!

First of all, let us activate the Triple Connected Skill “Senken no Kyoukai – Thousand Bonds–“. Then let’s activate a Double Connected Skill “Windfire Blaze – Flare Tempest –“. And let us put a finishing touch onto it with a Limit Over Accelerator! Yeah! That should be more than enough here to deal with this!

And now onto the explanation of what those new skills of mine do, exactly. The first skill basically grants my whole body a buff of reduced physical resistance. The second one grants my body a buff that makes it easier for me to perform complex and high-speed maneuvers in three dimensions. And the third one simply grants my body a buff that tremendously increases my mobility. As simple as that.

Because of the combination of all of the above skills and some other ones as well, I was able to easily slip through the attack of double poison swords of Tsuchinoko Goldunine and with a few extra steps I arrived in so close proximity to her that there was no way that she would be able to get away from me even if she really wanted to do so.

「You’d better brace yourself! You are about to see something truly interesting! So don’t blink or you might actually miss it!」

And then the time comes for the newly acquired Parabellum Routine to come into play. This skill is a little bit odd and specific to use, but it’s really useful in the long run. For you see, this Skills sets the moves that the player often likes to perform as “routines”. And each time the player manages to achieve a certain routine, those very same routines receive a strengthening effect. Pretty neat, huh?

And the current routine that the game decided to present to me was none other than the good, old and reliable: “Hit the left side of your chest with your right thumb”. Well now, you can bet your sweet ass that I use that action on a regular basis when travelling and covering vast distances in a small amount of time, but during battle? It’s not all that often, especially when there is not that much space to maneuver in, but I guess I can make it work no problem.

Now, since the conditions for activation of the effects of my newly acquired mobility skills, Parabellum Routine and Levin Trigger / Disaster Hazard are about the same here, the mobility increasing effects are all activated roughly at around the same time, and then the movements of my body are accelerated and increased even further by the black lightning that spreads all over my body. And the increase in movement speed and sensitivity is so strong here that calling this movement excessive would actually be an understatement here.

「Alright, ladies and gentlemen! Place your bets! This is going to be a really wild ride, so I hope that you are ready for it!」

Now, this next skill is someone subtle and specific, or at the very least that’s how I see it. However, at the same time, at the current moment I think that it is the most fun skill in my entire arsenal thus far. Alright! Let’s go, Critical Raise! Time to raise some hell on this battlefield!

The blade of Meiki starts to glow with a bright mixture of both blue and gold. Now, we are going to add the remains of the former Dragon King to the mix to increase the strength of the weapon itself and its effect even further, and once that is done I take a swing at the Tsuchinoko Goldunine…… Now, the attack surely cuts through Goldunine’s body, but there is hardly any wound or even a scratch mark left as a result of that. However, it’s all good, nothing to worry about here. It’s actually all part of the effect of the skill. As the name might suggest Critical Raise utilizes certain “betting chips”, which in this case was landing a successful Critical Strike. And once that bet is won, the strength of the attack increases even further!

「Say, do you fancy yourself a gambler?」

And since the bet is won, what follows a Critical Raise is a Critical Response. A response that creates additional two gold slashes across Tsuchinoko Goldunine’s body, carving deep wounds in it in the split of a second. Originally, the firepower would be doubled here, but now……
