ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 565: The Face Says More Than Mouth Will Ever Will Part 1
The camera is aimed at the players who wake up from their Full Dive and then Sasahara-san gets in the shot of the camera as well. Some of those people looked terribly regrettable. Some of them looked quite refreshed. Some of them looked as if they were about to start screaming towards the camera: “I was defeated before I even managed to do anything of importance!” Meanwhile, there was only one person amongst that group that got up with a look of complete and utter satisfaction on her face. It was a short and petite girl.
「Ah! Are you perhaps the one who was controlling that Crimson Nephilim? The one that managed to win in the end?」
There! She did it! She said it! She actually said the words! Sasahara-san, you actual madman! And I don’t mean that in a bad way, but god damn it, woman! Even Pencilgon would not be so reckless and go in for the kill like that right off the bat!
「Umm…… Yes, that’s right.」
「Well, I must say, it was one hell of a great fight! Now, Nephilim Hollow obviously has number two in the title, so it stands to reason to think about it as a sequel, but…… Is it really a sequel?」
「…… Yes, I believe so. Although I have been trying my best for the longest time in the first game and I have grown quite attached to it…… I was really surprised the moment when they dropped the information that the sequel was already on its way.」

Sanraku: As usual, whenever Nephilim Hollow gets involved there is no stopping her once she starts talking. I mean, just look at her!
Pencil Warrior: Oh, Rust-chan…… You poor soul……

「After having experienced it first hand, what are your thoughts on the sequel? I have heard that Nephilim Hollow 2 is going to have a whole lot of technical differences when compared to the original, but I was actually wondering if it is going to be true……」
Ah. Way to go, Sasahara-san. Way to fucking go. You have officially stepped on a landmine here. Now remember, no one else but you set yourself up for this……
「Alright, let’s see. Well, first of all…… I get a feeling that the operability of the machines have been drastically increased. The previous work was set on the premise of moving you frame in accordance with all of your five senses, so the difficulty of operation was set extremely high, maybe even too high for the vast majority of users. However, here in this demo the operation has been greatly simplified. I don’t know if we can say that it basically reflects your thoughts in real time during combat, but that’s how it felt for me right there. And based on that fact alone, you get to choose if you want to control your mecha with the control scheme from the previous game, or if you want to have the newer version, you can choose that one. This allows the veterans to enjoy the control scheme of the previous game and feel right at home, and the newer players will have easy controls so that they can get into the feel of the game a whole lot faster. From a User Interface perspective, I think it’s a great decision, and a show of consideration both for newer and experienced players alike. In particular, the idea of a high score system makes it so that there is not much of a difference between the control schemes at all! Which makes the immersion into the game’s world even easier than ever! As for the combat aspect of the game, I felt as though it was slightly weaker than the combat in the first game, but that is only my initial impression, and maybe the developers toned it down a little bit for the sake of the demo version. Certainly, I think that the frame that discarded all of its armor for the sake of weapons or mobility should have its damage intake doubled at the very least, and I thought that even though we were using some heavy weaponry that the frames themselves were much more durable then they needed to be. Especially those light armor frames. However, when it comes to the simple ideas of both speed and mobility, there was a tendency that it was difficult to control your mecha on the older control scheme, but I can see that the new control scheme is fixing that issue to a certain extent. Now, the battles in the previous game tended to be somewhat slow and that they were dragging on, but now thanks to the increased operability, they are much faster and dynamic. And that is all to say without even mentioning……」

「T-This is……」
Alright, that’s it folks…… I put my hands on my forehead and I try my best to meditate in order to keep my thoughts away from…… whatever THAT bit was supposed to be. Rust, oh Rust…… Calm down, girl. You are not calm at all right now, you are absolutely fucking chaotic! And Rust, oh Rust…… Not that I am saying anything here, but you do realize that this thing is being broadcasted nationwide, right? That the whole country can see your shenanigans in action? It might not be nearly as bad if it was being broadcasted worldwide, but still, girl…… You need to have some moderation! When it comes down to Nephilim Hollow, you tend to get way too excited way too fast!
Now here’s the real question: how is Rust from the future going to react to this broadcast when we decide to bully her with it? Is she going to accept it like a grown-up? Or is she going to completely freak out and go crazy? I can’t wait to find that out……

Pencil Warrior: Hey…… Should we, like…… message Mold right now? Just PM him? Come on. I bet he would actually fall off his chair or wherever he is right now.
Sanraku: I mean, we would have to invite him to the group first.
Pencil Warrior: Alright, so let me just change the group’s name really quick.
“THE GROUP CHAT’S NAME HAS BEEN CHANGED TO ‘FROM THE JGE SITE WITH LOVE’”
“SANRAKU-SAN HAS INVITED MOLD-SAN TO JOIN THE GROUP CHAT.”
Mold: Huh? What’s this all about all of a sudden……?
Sanraku: Oh, well, you know, about this and that……
Mold: Huh?
Pencil Warrior; Something…… fast. Like, really, REALLY fast……
Mold: Say what now……?

「Nfuhh…… Nfuaaah」
「Fufukukuh」
「What’s wrong? Did…… did something happen……?」
「N-No, it’s just that…… Or you know what? It’s nothing. Nothing, really……」
「…… Huh???」
I bet that Sasahara-san did not expect that coming from Rust. Now I wonder? Are they going to pay for a gag? Or maybe make Rust fade out in the middle of her mini-lecture? Because they can’t show Rust forever here, right? And then the camera changes focus, shifting towards a young man who was apparently having convulsions from too much laughter, holding onto his mobile terminal with one hand…… Honestly, I feel a little bit guilty here. But just a little bit.
