Pencil Warrior: I mean, it was honestly to be expected at some point in time, but once that moment actually came, I could not help it but to feel extremely disappointed.

Rust: It seems that the Unique Monster “Orchestra of the Doom Melody has been defeated. Which means that someone managed to beat us to the punch.
Pencil Warrior: And here we have Sanraku-kun, who was so proud of the fact that he was ahead of the whole pack, and now that someone managed to rob him of that feeling of uniqueness and superiority, he’s salty as all fuck about it. Maybe try to do something similar in real life, see how it goes for you.
Pencil Warrior: But does that mean that Sanraku-kun’s supremacy is finally coming to an end? Could it be that Sanraku-kun is going to be overtaken more and more as the time goes on?
Pencil Warrior: That whole Mirei girl seems like someone who has a pretty loose mouth, but she also seems to be rather smart, doesn’t she? At least that’s the kind of impression that I am getting here.
Sanraku: I mean, she is always bragging about how high her own IQ is, but I don’t know if any of that is actually true or not. But you are right about that loose mouth part, at the very least.
Pencil Warrior: From what I have heard, this whole Orchestra Unique Monster is supposed to be a boss rush, basically? Honestly, I find it hard to believe that someone affiliated with the Library managed to defeat an opponent with which Sanraku had so much trouble and ended up serving as a floor wipe.
Mold: Why do I feel that all of a sudden the temperature here started to drop considerably……?
Sanraku: Yeah, laugh all you want, you stupid bitch. Let’s see how you are going to do against a retarded gimmick like the one present in that fight.
Sanraku: I don’t know about you guys, but I am having a really hard time trying to break through the guard of a boss who is basically a one to one replica of your avatar, knows your every skill and move, possesses the same weapons that you do and has some bullshit defensive powers that come to life right in the moment when you are about to deal a finishing blow…… What do you say to that, huh?
Pencil Warrior: Uwah, that sounds like an honest to goodness pain in the ass of a boss fight……
Pencil Warrior: But what exactly is supposed to be this boss’s gimmick? Because quite honestly, I don’t really get it. Or rather, I’m not convinced.
Rust: Not convinced? About what, specifically?
Pencil Warrior: No, I mean, look…… I was under the impression that Unique Monsters are that kind of opponents against which you just need to know the right strategy, and the battle is a good as won, right? So, now you’re telling me that there is a Unique Monster who has plot armor against even a surefire method like that?
Pencil Warrior: Or no, it might not even be that. Maybe it’s just that there is some sort of a gimmick that makes Orchestra super weak? And the problem here is that our dear Sanraku-kun simply managed to overlook it somehow? You can’t overlook a possibility like that.
Saiga-0: speaking about that, umm, right now…… On stage……

Pencil Warrior: When it comes to someone of my caliber, it doesn’t really mean that some things are going to work in parallel, you know?

Pencil Warrior: Yeah, that’s right! Double the efficiency of wrongdoing! Double the efficiency of making chumps like you look like a complete fool!
Sanraku: Alright, that’s it. I’m going to pull out at this rate, before things get way out of hand!
Pencilgton: Now, one has to wonder…… Is the Orchestra a one-time type? Just like the Gravekeeper Wezaemon? Or maybe it is a rematchable type just like Kutanid of the Abyss was?
Pencil Warrior: For the time being, our dear Sanraku-kun is our best bet of actually checking that out. So get to work and go get it!
Sanraku: Huh? No way, that’s impossible.
Sanraku: For the moment I don’t even feel like playing ShangriLa Frontier at all. Maybe I should go on a break from it for a while?
Saiga-0: Huh?
Pencil Warrior: Say what now?

「Umm, Ehhhh, this is…… Umm…… C-could it be that…… you are retiring from ShanFro for good……?」
「Huh? No! No, no, no, no, no! I was just thinking that right about now I would do myself good to actually have a change of pace in some different game for a while.」
Yeah, when it comes to other games, there is still this JasBa that I haven’t even tried once yet. And even if it wasn’t for that one, I still have quite a lot of games that are casually sitting on the backburner, waiting for their turn to be properly played and enjoyed. For you see…… The trick to enjoy one godly game for a long while without feeling burned out is to occasionally flirt with other games, not necessarily of the godly quality. And if I am to be completely honest here, at the current moment thanks to that retarded Orchestra boss and its stupid mechanics, my current motivation for playing ShangriLa Frontier managed to fall below zero. And while my reluctance to play ShanFro was not yet at the levels where I wouldn’t even want to gaze upon the box with the game or to see its title screen, I was sure that the more information I am going to amass about the game now would only serve to drop that motivation bar even lower. And that’s why the proper breather from that title is necessary.
「Yeah, so that’s that. I’m going to be taking a short break from ShangriLa Frontier. I don’t know when I might go back to it, but I am going to get back to it eventually. Of that you can be sure.」
Look, it’s not really about the fact that someone managed to defeat a Unique Monster before I was able to do that. Yeah, that’s not really what this thing is all about here. It’s just that…… It’s really frustrating, you know? Knowing that someone else managed to defeat a monster that you had struggled against for so long. Yeah, it’s a little bit convoluted, but that’s more or less it. If only it was not for those stupid defenses of that Unique Monster, even I could…… Hmm, maybe there really IS some sort of a gimmick that I am simply unable to see at the current moment? Or maybe it has something to do with the way I am in general?
