ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 598: No Matter Battles or Wars, It’s Always Brilliant Red Fighting Part 1

Memento Mori becomes light as a feather once more after accumulating kill scores and continuing to be exposed to death of the small fries around the field. No, it was in fact a little bit heavier than what I was used to, right now being like a can of juice with the contents still inside of it.

Furthermore, if you swing it carelessly, there is a high probability that you will receive unnecessary air resistance, and I did not wanted that to happen. It’s like having a wall of gas turn in to a wall of muddy water. It was only going to make matter worse in no time at all.

「Feel the wrath of the cutting wing. TACHIKAZE!」

However, if you squeeze your sword tightly and swing it in a straight line, there is no wall of air of muddy water that would be able to stop you from advancing forward. This sword right now is a large mass of metal that feels as light as a can of juice, becomes a super-heavy weapon that strikes into the Cyborg Kabuto at full speed and power.

Two strikes. Three strikes. Four strikes. If you keep on using it with one hand, the DPS will be sweet and big in number, so what would happen if I were to use both hands for that? The answer is simple: it would be the sheer firepower the likes of which you have never even seen before.

The outer shell of this beast that I am right now, which was generated by the morphological change caused by the Blood Crown that I wore on my head, increases the parts that should not originally exist on the human body. For example, like the eyes in my head, six on each half of it. Some of them seemed to be just for decorative purposes only, but as long as at least one eye on each side remains opened, you can easily maintain your field of vision, and you can make it to be unlike anything that a normal human was capable of.

The similarly expanded human body is more than just a decoration. For example, not only was I able to hook one of my feet onto the corner of the chest of the Cyborg Kabuto, but I was also able to wrap my tail around it so that it hangs upside down, like it would from a horizontal bar……

Next comes the skill “Manbu Futo” to be activated. If you use this skill with a weapon other than your favorite weapon, the effect of increasing your skill level is no longer relevant. What is important is that this skill can increase your firepower even with weapons other than the ones that are good with. So it only increases its already high value.

「Kuh…… Come on, cracks! Don’t be shy! Just start appearing!」

However, the cracked shell does not break even after making a full swing with my sword held in both hands. It may have been damaged, but it cannot be brought to the decisive hit that would split it right open.

This is bad, only ten seconds left until the Starvation Mode kicks in…… If I cannot beat it by then, I will first need to find a way to get myself rid off of this negative status.

「This thing will become way too heavy once again……!!」

My body turns just like a pendulum would, and return the reversed top and bottom to how they should normally be. I then jump onto the Cyborg Kabuto and start to ride him like a bull on a rodeo, at the same time taking out different items from my inventory.

Eat this, you freaking beetle……! Super Heavy Metal, Tactical Warbeast “Genbu” and Vauban Gargantua, the shield of the Empress’ Castle! A triple dead weight if you add Memento Mori’s original weight into the mix!

A mechanical turtle crashed into the Cyborg Kabuto from up above, and in addition to the already heavy oversized sword, a shield bash with an oversized shield like that compressed the fortress was added into the mix, so the weight load that greatly exceeded the capacity of what Cyborg Kabuto was able to carry was now placed over its body.

It seems to be that the way in which this thing was flying was not so free after all, and that there was a whole lot of restrictions added to this procedure, making it fragile ans delicate. And when you have to carry a load on your back that greatly exceeds your ability to carry…… I wonder what would happen? Well, I guess that most probably something like this.

「You should be glad! At least you should be able to stick the landing!」

It is something that can be done in fighting games, you can replicate in FPS games, heck even a place in various dogfighting simulators was able to perform a maneuver like that with enough practice. Good players are able to fly right next to the ground and kill their enemies with wings and propellers alone, and I can’t even remember just how many times I managed to crash while trying to imitate this thing and learn it…… But thanks to that alone I was also able to learn a whole bunch of other useful skills.

「Or you can simply crush into the ground! I don’t really care all that much!」

While the Cyborg Kabuto plummets towards the ground and start grinding against it, I jump off of its back and then twist my body a few times, preparing almighty swing with Memento Mori that crashes right into it with full power!

Two seconds left. While spinning, the Cyborg Kabuto wanted to get away from me, but another swing from Memento Mori successfully managed to stop it from doing just that. Now, it was sent flying and crushed right into one of the smaller spiders. Two seconds. One second. Zero seconds left……

「Time to ride on!」

I managed to survive the Starvation judgement because I happened to kill a few small enemies in a hurry there, and then I touched 「Genbu」 and the shield of the Empress Castle’s and stored them back inside of my inventory. And then I changed my armaments one more time.

If those wings also possess a hard shell, it would not be able to do what it was doing right now, stopping in mid-air and starting to emit some sort of a beam from the tips of all of its six wings. But before those beams were able to strike me down, I blocked it all with the Dis Pater shield. Alright, I have to prepare myself for the great finale, so for the time being, catch this! Shield Frisbee! That should keep it occupied.

Approximately all that I need right now is power. But the type is different now. If you want to widen up an already existing crack, it’s not slashing that you want, but a strike. So I changed my weapons to Scorpion Gauntlets, and then prepared the deadly Exceed Charge mechanism…… Ah, but what about the Magic Power charge?

「I’M GONNA CRUSH YOOOOOOUUUUUU!!! RaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAA !!!」

Parabellum Routine time! At the same time as the prescribed pose is assumed, I activate the the Levin Trigger / Disaster Hand! Then it’s time for Connected Skills “Bakushin Torrent – Nitro Flow -“, “Never Ending Acceleration” and “Countdown Burst” one after another!
