「So in other words, what? It’s okay to excessively use dangerous and explosive weapons that we know next to nothing about as if it was nothing? Is that it?」
「…… Then I guess that we have no other choice but to go down and earn some money for ourselves back in the third layer, huh?」
「Yeah, I guess. But, what are you going to do? Do you have some sort of a plan?」
「Everyone should just go back and start to earn some serious cash…… No, scratch that. Both Rust and Yashiro Bird need to stay here. Let’s minimize the losses and have them search for weapons that are likely to have a really high amount of DPS on them.」
「…… And esthetics. Do not forget about the esthetics.」
「You sound really confident about that part in particular, huh?」
It’s not that I do not have my shares of anxieties about this whole operation, but leaving those two here surely sounds like a far better option rather than having them gamble their assess into oblivion. At least that way they might find us something good to use and they will be of actual use to the party for once.
「Now, as for the way in which we can earn ourselves some money…… I think I might have a really good idea as to how to obtain it. And not just the amount we need, but much more than that.」

「Yes, that’s more like it. Alright then, Renga-san. This is the Crystal Scorpion Flock, as promised, just the way it was exhibited there. Oh, but before you go, check the number of cards and if the contents are all good to go. You can never be too sure with things like that.」
「Hmm, let’s see…… Crystal Scorpion Flock, Golden Crystal Scorpion…… Haaah, it’s amazing! This deck seems to be so overly specific, but I can get a sure feeling that it is going to be top-tier on the competitive stage!」
「I know it might sound weird coming from the one who put this deck up for sale, but are you absolutely sure that you want to use it? I mean, it is really situational and the deck composition is prone to many accidents. One element of the combo is missing and you are toasted.」
「Ahh, no, it’s alright. All that I want from this thing is to have a branch evolution and branch pruning while some extreme environment rule kicks into effect. I get a feeling that the singles of this deck would not be able to sell for much, but when you are buying a fully constructed deck like that…… Its value raises tremendously.」
「…… So in other words, those two cards are its strongest components? Is that it?」
「Well, that’s Trading Card Games for you. You either learn to accept that fact ads a part of its charm, or you go on to detest it with a passion.」

「WELL, SINCE IT WAS A TRANSACTION BASED ON THE SYSTEM OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED BY THE SELLER OF THE PRODUCT, THERE SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM WITH ISSUING YOUR MONEY BACK, WOULDN’T YOU AGREE?」
Ah, I see. So, this means that there should be no problem with that, right? Good to know.
Before going up to the fourth layer, I had this conversation with the Brave Fish regarding the Trading Card Game on the third layer. Because I had the excess amount of certain cards, I was thinking about turning myself into a wonderful Alchemist, trying to turn something completely useless into something actually worth quite a lot. In other words, the equation here is simple: Trading Card Games equals money. So it would only stand to reason that it would be a good idea to just resell the cards that I have the excess amount of, taking advantage of the unique circumstances that I am having at the current moment.
It seems that the card called “Crystal Scorpion Flcok” is originally a card with a lower emission rate than all the other ones. However, since my personal experience with the Crystal Scorpions is way different than that of any ordinary Player, whenever I buy a booster pack targeted towards the Experience, I will draw those cards way more than any other ones. Not to mention that every once in a while I would happen upon some stronger versions of Crystal Scorpions, like Old Crystal Scorpions or Golden Crystal Scorpions. In other words, I can build a Crystal Scorpion Flock Deck way faster and way cheaper than any other Player out there.
I even tried out the auction option that the system allowed, but I quickly stumbled upon a wall that I needed to overcome; I had little to no idea about the market prices of those cards. And without knowing the market price, you run the risk of getting scammed into buying the cards way below their market value. But once I would know the price, I could even inflate the price and manage to score myself a profit that would skyrocket way above the market price.
「And I guess it would do me well to keep the original deck that I managed to build. It would not be a very profitable move trying to resell it. So I might as well stick with it for some more.」
But even if I wanted to do that, I can always replenish my inventory with the use of about tenth part of my overall budget. And based on what I have seen in my previous game against that NPC, if you want to have a shot at winning, you need to get your hands on as much of rare and specific cards as humanly possible. Otherwise you are going to have a very bad time very quickly……
「Being called the Leading Industry Player in this thing…… Man, that sure has a nice ring to it……」
「HMM, FOLLOWING THAT LOGIC, SHOLUD’T THE MOST INFLUENTIAL FIGURE IN THIS INNDUSTRY BE THIS HERE “BRAVE FISH”?」

「WHILE IT IS TRUE THAT IT IS SOMEWHAT RARE, IT IS A RARE CARD THAT CAN GREATLY EXPAND THE CARD POOL OF THE EXPERIENCE PACKS. AND HERE, LET ME GIVE YOU A QUICK PREDICTION AS YOUR RELIABLE AND FRIENDLY “BRAVE FISH”…… IT IS GOING TO BE EXTRIMELY POPULAR FOR SURE.」
「Those words…… I really like the sound of them. They are the best.」
