ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 624: Question That Still Need To Be Answered Part 1
Heavy. This all seems to be way too heavy.
I was just told about the past that was really heavy, and it seems that the face that I thought would finally start to look familiar seemed about ready to collapse on the spot. Not to mention that it took so long that I had to pop up a few of my precious bunny girl suits just to keep things decent.
But I see, I think that I now understand what is going on here. Strictly speaking, the “Brave Fish” is not the AI of Leviathan, but the anthropomorphic image of the existence that is associated with the Leviathan.

I know that I am here, but I cannot actually confirm my own existence without the third party being present. It’s those kind of “difficulty stories”, especially if they are being told one after another, are certainly the type of stories that can shake people’s emotions the most.
It’s just that, umm…… It was long, way too long. Would it be able to skip this “cutscene”? Or maybe re-read it all later in text format? As expected, this event scene was about fifty minutes long … No, or was it maybe twenty minutes? I don’t know anymore. If you just continue to listen for so long without any involvement from your end, you are bound to start getting bored sooner rather than later.
Umm, what is this? How can I actually put it into words? In short, it should be an ecstatic story, wouldn’t you agree? The romantic tale of a man who loved the world so much that he put his own life on the line so that the world would gain a sliver of hope for tomorrow…… It should really be heart-wrenching. And even if it was long in the past, the…… Afterglow? Yeah, the afterglow of that could still be felt. Yes, afterglow is really important.
And who would have thought that “Brave Fish was able to talk for so long without having any breaks? And to do it on such a grand scale? I know, because I had to change my clothes more than a few times throughout that tale.
「AT THAT TIME, I REALLY FAILED TO NOTICE. I DID NOT TRY TO STOP HIM BECAUSE I DID NOT NOTICE ANYTHING. BUT EVEN IF I TRIED TO REFUSE. I AM SURE THAT HE WOULD HAVE PERSUADED ME WITHOUT ISSUE…… I WAS BURNING THROUGH ALL OF MY INTELLECT, ALL OF MY MEMORY, AND IN THAT TIME HE JUST DISSAPPEARED INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE EARTH. If this was only me in here right now, I might have skipped the story and asked for a gist of it. However, there was also Rei-san with me in here right now. And it sure looks to me that Rei-san seemed to be hooked on “Brave Fish’s” love story and did not think it was THAT long. As you would expect from a genuine high school girl. But I’m a high school boy myself, so if told me that I had to spend so much time listening to some tear-jerker like that, I would have rather spent that time fighting enemies, farming items and growing stronger in general…… No, it’s not good to just think about that kind of whitening. Not everything can be segregated like that in the first place.
After listening properly to the whole story, there were lots of things that were on my mind, lots of questions and assumptions that would need to be organized and clarified on a later date. But for the time being, would it be the right thing to do to recognize this whole Julius ShangriLa as the genuine God of this universe?
And the 6.6.6. Plan…… Putting one’s mind into the core of the planet and thus being able to control the mana particles……? No, is it more like sedation rather than control? As far as I can tell, the Raid Monsters managed to become subdued by that method from the Gods, and it also most probably resulted in creation of the environment clear of the Origin’s pollution. So for someone to be able to achieve something like that…… Maybe that guy literally was God?

Also, that title drop was actually kind of cool. You know, Julius “ShangriLa” and Alice “Frontier”? “ShangriLa Frontier”, anyone? …… If so, the information that were being presented to us right now were not actually connected to any Unique Secnario, but rather to the World Quest as a whole.
When I think about it now, I really haven’t investigated the World Quest all that much throughout my playthrough up until this point…… And I have no way of knowing if the World Quest is progressing smoothly or not thanks to the world of this game being so big and expansive. …… But yeah, this is a game, so it’s only natural that it would have a main storyline.
「SO IF I EVER HAD AN ACTUAL REGRET,THAT WOULD BE IT. EVEN IF THIS IS BUT A SHELL, A REMAIN…… IT’S STILL……FOR ME, IT’S STILL THAT PERSON. BUT MAYBE…… I AM WRONG IN THINKING THAT? HUMANS MOURN THE PASSING AWAY OF THEIR LOVED ONES, DECORATE THEIR RESTIN PLACES AND TEND TO THEM…… I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO I REALLY AM, BUT TO THINK LIKE THAT ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE…… THIS HAS TO BE A MISTAKE!!」

She said that she did not know who she really is, so does that mean that she was currently going through identity crisis? Or maybe she was really a psychopath deep down inside and it was finally starting to show just now……
But what should we do now? It’s not like we can just stop listening to her and just walk away from here while pretending that nothing happened. After all, ShangriLa Frontier is the game that relies on consideration to a certain extent. Appeal is also a very important factor in here. And the then we have the action aspect. But unlike the recent dating sims, there are no choices to be picked in this game, sadly…… It is instead a design that determines the likability factor based on the content considered. Or is it that the preliminary survey is more powerful in here than in any other game?
Also, now that I think about it, this isn’t really a first time when I heard the name of Julius ShangriLa. I think that his name came up in the files of that scientist who became zombie fodder in the underground facility…… You know, the one ended up crying and getting snot all over his face…… Edward, was that this guy’s name? Something like that, at the very least.
