When it comes to gathering people together in one place, Arthur Pencilgton has a certain theory about that very subject: that gathering people together in online games is pretty much similar or even identical to the way in which holding an election in real world tends to work.
And there is also one thing to be aware of at all times: no matter how much you tend to struggle with anything, there is always going to be a limit to the resources that are available to you at hand, as well as the physical awards for all of your efforts. However, when it comes to things such as “dreams”, “ideals”, “romanticism”…… Those things are always going to be plenty just lying all over the place, just ready to be used to bait people. You just need to realize how to use the tools at hand in the most effective way possible. Of course, everything revolves around selling the potential supporters the idea that their dreams can come true, but in terms of actually rallying the supporters together, it would be more of a request to participate than the actual election.

There are many players out there who do not know who “Sanraku” is, or those who only heard of him but do not actually know any more details. However, the number of people in the know is only limited to those of the players who are familiar with this game in particular and who tend to frequently browse through the bulletin boards meant for ShangriLa Frontier.
But when it comes to this battle in particular…… This is all a part of the Grand Duke of Thirdrema VS the Current King Great PVP War. And Pencilgton knows that when it comes to large scale battles and war-like events, it’s actual strength in numbers that lets you overwhelm your opponent rather than having a one-man-army kind of support behind your back. And when it comes to Sanraku right here…… Right about now he was nothing more but a banner under which Pencilgton was hoping to rally as much of her supporters as she possibly could.
「Dear Comrade! We have managed to make a full recovery! What are we going to do now!? Do we go on the offensive!?」
「No, I never actually thought that things would escalate so much like that in the city’s limits. Talk about unexpected.」
When it comes to Pencilgton’s original plan, she was planning to prepare a proxy “enemy” led by one of the RPAs, but she made a blunder here. She never anticipated that her younger brother would resolve to clever and non-violent actions in the city such as trying to establish an infiltration mission. Needless to say, Sanraku going versus the Slaughter Demon was also not a part of her plan, it was something that happened to happen completely at random and was beyond the ability of anyone to actually predict it. Because let’s face it, there was no way that someone would be able to predict something as ridiculous as this.
However, this situation could also serve to show a degree of skill when it comes to Player Organized Events, being able to grasp the ideal results from an unexpected situations popping out one after another. And at the current moment, there was a fierce brainstorming session raging inside of Pencilgton’s head. And that particular brainstorming was supposed to coin up a plan or next measure with which she could use the current events to their maximal potential, further supporting her cause.
SNEAK! SNEAK! SNEAK!
Pencilgton, who used the current commotion in order to casually approach the beginner players, began to explain the whole situation in a tone similar to that of a manga or anime commentary character. The effect was somewhat grotesque, but as long as it would get the job done, it was alright in her book.
「Those are the Glittering Gauntlets Giltabrill, otherwise known by their casual name of “Scorpion Gauntlets”…… It’s a weapon in the category of Re-Legacy Weapon, and the type he is using right now is that it has a huge recoil and a huge reduction in the durability of the weapon itself. Pencilgton steeled her resolve and was preparing herself to talk some more details about the “event”, at the same time doing her best to try not to look like a fisherman who just gazed down upon a stupid fish that happened to stumble upon some really low-effort bait and swallowed it whole in one go.
