I was standing next to the Southern gate of the city, waiting for Vitou to arrive with the Heroes. I had everything prepared in my inventory and the only thing left for me to do is set off for the Sunset Islands, but for some reason there was nobody here and noon had already passed. I really wanted to curse out loud and just leave without bothering to wait for the rest to come, but the guards sent by the King were keeping a close watch over me. If I bolted, I am sure to be in trouble with the King later on. It is simply not worth it.

“Nao-chan, sorry we’re late. You won’t be angry, right? We had to pack everything and it took longer than I thought originally.”

Hii-chan seemed excited and kept on talking without even pausing for breath. He told me about the flying practice and how they trained with wyverns. I let him blabber on and on and looked at the rest of the Heroes still behind him. Aside from the trio under Vitou and Hii-chan’s girlfriend, everyone else felt hostile to me.

This realization came as a surprise to me. I could clearly feel the hostility coming from all of them. I had a bad feeling all of a sudden. This trip may not be as simple as I originally thought and I should keep my guard up. I didn’t dare wait too long and as Hii-chan was talking I placed another restriction on all the heroes that will help me keep my identity as a dungeon master a secret.

I was placing this magic stealthily, but even then I was expecting the Heroes to sense something was wrong and look for the cause of this magic. However, from start to finish, none of them showed any change of expression, not even Hii-chan who was closest to me. There wasn’t even a pause in his monologue. How can they be so unaware?

“Speaking of which, what is your level now, Nao-chan? I broke through 85 a week ago and Mai is also above 80. You should be close to that as well, right? Don’t worry, I know you were stuck dealing with your engagement. If you need me, I will protect you.”

I thought about the level that I had after unlocking the Divinity seed and smiled.

“There is no need for you to worry. I am plenty strong. Just ask Daisuke and Taichi, they saw me fight several times. They can tell you that I don’t need anyone to protect me.”

“That is awesome. I knew you were strong. It seems that you didn’t slack off one bit, even though you were busy all this time.”

“We need to get to the Sunset Islands southwest of here safe and sound. I can only rely on you.”

I knew her pride, which is why I didn’t say I only needed her to carry me there. I jumped onto her back and we set off. I planned on flying all the way to the coast in one sitting, before taking a break for a good sleep. Afterwards, we will set off and reach the Sunset Islands. According to my calculation, it would take us four days total. However, there was one tiny fact that I overlooked.

Most of the wyverns carrying the Heroes were still babies, despite their grown look. It didn’t take long and soon they were starting to fall behind as exhaustion swept them. That is why I had to adjust my plan and find a place to camp for a few hours and let the babies take a rest.

Looking up at the sky and seeing that it will be pitch dark soon, I decided to stay for the night.

“Everyone, spread out and secure the perimeter, we’re leaving before dawn, so make sure you get some rest. You should arrange the guard yourself. I will take the last shift.”

I wasn’t planning on setting up the inn for only a few hours of rest, not even a full night. I found a spot and nestled next to Elyra.

“Wait Nao-chan, I want to set up a party. We are going to travel together and this will help keep an eye out on everyone.”

I hesitated for a bit, but then decided to agree. He has a point, this will help keep an eye on everyone. I don’t know where the hostility comes from, but I will find out sooner or later. As for why I was hesitating, it was because they would be able to see my level. Thinking about it, my change will become apparent sooner or later, and there is no need to pay heed to what others are thinking. Heck it might even make them converge a bit.

I input my mana into the crystal and waited for the prompt from the system informing me about the creation of the party.
