「Captain, I’ve finished inspecting every school and drafted an improvement plan based on the results. May I present it to you now?」
That was how Iris opened the conversation after giving me a massage that night.
I want to plead tiredness and go straight to sleep. I pushed that temptation down. After she’d just worked the stiffness out of my body, I couldn’t very well brush her off. Crashing here would be slacking off a bit too hard. I let out a quiet sigh in my heart.
「Of course I don’t mind. I’d like to hear it.」
Iris had begun moving to take over the administration of Ares, but the bulk of day-to-day operations was already in the hands of Roberto and his team of civil officials. For the time being, it was enough for her to grasp that side of things by reading their reports.
