Chapter 146: Night Flight part 1

The sun set for the first time since the stampede hit Ares.

Once night fell, maybe the solar storm’s influence eased—because the drones deployed around the area all came back to life at once. That wasn’t all. The prickling sensation everyone had complained about seemed to subside, too, and Gloria finally regained consciousness.

A voice echoed in my head.

「Chief, I’m hungry—」

「Are you alright, Gloria?」

「Yup. During a stampede I lose consciousness in the daytime, and I’m active at night. It happens all the time!」

So it really is true: a stampede sends dragons into a kind of frenzy. For flying monsters like dragons and wyverns, there are even cases where they come to and realize they’ve ended up somewhere completely ridiculous.

Long ago, those mood swings apparently helped dragons expand their habitats. But that was ages past. In the modern era, it seems the common pattern for dragons and wyverns is simple: sleep through
