Chapter 147: Valerius part 2

As the ‘mountain’ loomed near, Gloria began to rumble.

「What is it, Gloria?」

「 Chief—there’s another dragon. 」

「 What? 」

I hurriedly searched—only to have the nanom inside Gloria highlight the dragon before my eyes found it.

It wasn’t as enormous as the dragon that had once appeared in the Great Demon Forest, but it was a little larger than Gloria.

「Ria—there’s a dragon here. Get on Gloria’s back so you can escape at once if we need to. Teo, Iris—don’t you dare get off Gloria.」

Pointing it out, I urged everyone to be on guard.

「 Gloria—can you communicate with them? 」

「 I’ll try. 」

Gloria roared. The other dragon roared back.

It seems a conversation has been established. I can’t understand it, but Iris—who has been diligent about learning dragon language—appears to be following the exchange.

If she can monitor it, we can respond appropriately.

「 Iris—tell me as soon as you understand what’s going on. 」

「 Understood.
