Chapter 347
Chapter 347: Looks like they savored every moment of overwhelming sensations with such heightened sensitivity and emotional intensity
Day 82 – Morning, White Weirdo Inn
I’m being scolded. Put flatly, stretched wide and evenly across the horizon, this is what people would plainly call a sermon.
Even though it had been a wonderful bunny-style love-love cuddle session, now I’m getting a lecture? What could possibly have been wrong with the tentacles? Even though they clearly enjoyed them? Were the bumps the issue? Even though she was happily wrapping her lips around them? Compared to the standard model, our new knobby, ribbed, mushroom-tipped Tentacle-san outperformed it by more than triple in all sensual metrics, so what exactly is the complaint? She passed out looking very satisfied, with such a deeply pleased face during the tentacle time? But if I’m getting a sermon, I guess the tentacles still have the room for improvement
The combination of effects from 『Sexual Techniques』 and 『Sensitivity Increase』applied to the bumpy-type tentacles synergized, fully immersing them in the overwhelming sensations with such heightened sensitivity and emotional intensity that they was savoring every second of it with such ecstatic responsiveness, it turned into a cascade of deep, tearful joy, profound delight, and heartfelt awe, but they are still getting mad at me? Let’s increase the number of available shapes and bump configurations to salvage some of the Affectation Rating. So far, I’ve only created 78 prototype variants of differently shaped tentacles, but it looks like I’ll need to keep refining and test-running them until there are no complaints left. Next up was the frilly flared model, I think?
While getting scolded, I secretly practiced the vibration of the new-type tentacles at the back, shifting them into new configurations of lumps and folds, resulting in something slightly obscene, but it looks like they have some serious impact. And this gouged-out tip looks pretty good too. Let’s go with this tonight!
As the scolding duo still can’t get up, since their waists seem to have given out, I place high recovery mushrooms right into their mouths. From experience, the scolding stops until they swallow them but once they recover, the sermon continues even harder than before. Better make my escape while I still can.
「Today is a day off, so how about a tour to my sweet cave home in the forest, that I’ve been postponing all this time? Slime-san hadn’t been there yet either, and for Dancing Girl-san, it was her first time in the Frontier and her first inn, so of course she’d want to see her first cave too, right? And, well… That place is kind of my home? Sort of?」
Right, that was supposed to be my place. I was supposed to be like coming and going into the town every now and then, but that cave is where I belong, yet I haven’t been back in a long while. How strange.
There were supposed to be two paths. And in either one, my place was in that cave.
Yes, if the classmates had joined forces to survive in this world they would’ve departed to the various corners of the world as numerous heroes, and I as a production class would’ve stayed in that cave, taming monsters by myself. And perhaps someone who was meant to handle domestic affairs in this world.
But someone chose to pursue strength, stealing the lives and abilities of classmates. And in the end, was meant to fight me to the death in that cave, lose all his power, and die together with me.
And here I strayed off to some completely different path, but thanks to that I encountered these three.
So I should introduce them to my cave home.
(Jiggle-Jiggle!)
Slime-san had been looking forward to it even before the war, but never got to go, so it looks really happy now. Dancing Girl-san seems excited too, so I’ll probably need to rebuild the swing as a two-seater.
In the cafeteria, hungry children and minors were eagerly waiting. Under the control of 『Wisdom』, using multi-perception and parallel thought for magic-based individualized process splitting, I prepared several dishes at the same time: omurice taking shape through multiple stages, hamburg steaks and meatballs being grilled, napolitan and karaage getting cooked through. Naturally, mushrooms included. The Orphans and Elven Little Sister both seem to be in full physical health now, but just to be safe, let’s add mushrooms anyway.
「It’s a kids’ lunch, ketchup-loaded, crimson-colored, an orphan-lunch special~. Enjoy~」
「「「「Let’s dig in!」」」」
All the meals are ones I’ve cooked before, so it’s just simple, instant, parallel cooking. Honestly, it was making this kid’s lunch plate that took the most effort. There are some idiots who just dumped everything into buckets, but I actually made proper plates for each person. Slime-san is waiting with both a plate and a bucket ready. The Demon Scythes are also joining us for breakfast, but seeing giant scythes eating kid meals is pretty surreal.
It was probably that first omurice I ever fed the Orphans that made them fall in love with ketchup. Back then, they were all skin and bones, worn down and sick. So I cooked the rice in milk, packed it full of medicinal mushrooms, pretty much a tasteless recovery food that only barely passed as omurice. It wasn’t even all that tasty, since the priority was nutrition and healing. And yet, even now, whenever I ask what they want to eat, it’s always something with ketchup.
So I went ahead and made everything at the same time, hamburg steak, omurice, meatballs, and napolitan. It ended up bright red.
The girls are busy training and testing the new equipment, so they’re heading into the dungeons again today. I’ve asked them to trial-run the prototype of the reinforced armor. It’s a new design that not only boosts overall performance, but also has a higher quality and number of magic effects, plus, with drastically improved mobility, it’s way easier to move in… But the shape ended up hugging the body just a little too well, it’s kinda sexy and form-fitting, so they’ll probably try it on somewhere without any guys around.
Leaving the cleanup to them I head into the town. It’s Dancing Girl-san’s first time shopping with her own money. They get proper allowances based on their work, so the whole point is to have fun wasting it.
This Frontier town has more goods than the Royal Capital, and better quality, too. The lively atmosphere is on another level. Rough dirt roads have been paved flat with stone, and the houses and shops that were just stacked-up rocks are now all changed to well-maintained neat white walls. Even things like wood and paint, which used to be in short supply, are now circulating, and with all the newly hung, colorful signs, the town feels truly vibrant. Trees have even been planted along the stone walkways, giving the place a touch of charm. We stroll down the park avenue with its little plazas, benches, and fountains. Some streets and shop layouts have changed since last time, but there’s no way I’ll get lost, I mean, I was the one who made this, you know? Like, everything from the blueprints? It brought quite a profit!
And just like always, the General Store was crazy crowded. The clerk at the end of the long line at the register looked over at me with teary eyes, so I had 『Magic Hands』-san call down a restocking rain from the warehouse, flooding every single shelf in the store. I went ahead and set up the extra delivery stock for display too, so all that’s left is the register, but that’s not my problem, so let’s leave it be. The orphan squad should be showing up soon to help out anyway.
Inside the store, packed to the brim with people, Dancing Girl-san weaved through the crowd like she was dancing, slipping through narrow gaps without bumping into anyone, grabbing items and tossing them into her basket as she went. She still doesn’t have all the daily essentials yet, so she’s super busy with shopping. Of course, Avarice-san is also giggling happily while picking out clothes and grabbing bags, meanwhile, Gluttony-san is busy bouncing from place to place trying out the food outside. Slime-san is already buying stuff at the stalls like it’s no big deal? And it’s even haggling!
I’ve handed them plenty of pocket money, adding extra for yesterday’s Bunny Club, so they are buying one thing after another as soon as it catches their fancy. Almost all of it is stuff I made during my side job time, so honestly, they already had most of it in their rooms, but it can’t be helped, there is its own enjoyment in buying it in the store. Now the two of them are holding clothes in both hands, calculating how much allowance they have left and struggling to decide.
Armored Pres-san and Dancing Girl-san are holding up outfits to each other, wondering which ones to get, chatting and laughing with arms full of clothes. This might take a while.
Technically, they’re earning their own money from the dungeons, so I could give them as much allowance as they wanted. But shopping is only fun because you get to fret over what to buy.
They’re both deep in discussion, trying to make up their minds, and that’s the fun part. Well, everything they’re holding right now was actually handmade by me during a bunch of sleepless nights. So if they asked, I could just make the exact same stuff for them again, but they seem to be having fun.
And then, I take the two back, walking down the same road we came, but with them now arms full of bags and satisfied smiles. Let’s drop the baggage off in the inn room first. I could put it all in the item bag for them, sure, but since they bought this stuff themselves, they’ll want to have it in the room to use it or wear it whenever they feel like it. Yeah, let’s make rooms for the three of them in the forest cave. It’s everyone’s home after all.
This is the Evil Forest, a natural Dungeon where thick, wild grass grows in tangled profusion and trees rise in dense, overlapping chaos that forms a maze of sorts, where even sunlight can find its way. Even a seasoned adventurer can lose all sense of direction just by wandering a little too deep, soon unable to find their way back, just to be endlessly assaulted by monsters, a nightmarish forest… Or so they say, but I have the 『Map』 skill, you know? Yeah, no way I’m getting lost? And as for being attacked, well, if anything, it’s the monsters who are being assaulted and are now on the verge of extinction. By the time I leave, they’ll probably be wiped out.
The stiflingly thick scent of trees fills the air. The damp, dark brown ground is covered with all sorts of grass, and the deep green canopy blocks out the sunlight, creating a dim, oppressive, black-green sea of trees. Lurking there, are hordes of vicious monsters watching hungrily for prey… or would be, if they weren’t currently fleeing in all directions. I mean, even if they call them monsters, it’s just goblins and kobolds, you know?
「Don’t you think the Evil Forest is kind of overhyped? Like, seriously, it’s nothing but gobs and kobos out here? Like, the Evil Forest this, the Evil Forest that, but honestly it’s just a normal woodland with a bunch of goblins, kobolds, and mushrooms, right? Calling this an 『Expedition』 or a 『Subjugation』is too much, like, I’m just going back home?」
The Evil Forest is officially marked as a danger zone. You’re required to file a report just to get close, and apparently entering it needs a permit granted after extra evaluations. They say adventurers are finally considered full-fledged once they’ve earned a permit, but I’m a resident! I have a house there! Sure, I was away for a bit, but I can’t be expected to file reports and apply for permits every time I want to go home. Besides, I’m not an adventurer, so I wouldn’t be able to get a permit anyway?
Monsters hidden in the dim, narrow forest, blending into the deep woods where visibility is poor. A lair of monsters awaiting their chance to pour from the shadows to attack. And that, is the Evil Forest!. Except, I can see everything. I’ve got 『Rajingan』, 『Presence Detection』, and 『Spatial Awareness』, it’s like they’re all lit up in neon. And they are way too close to extinction to pour out or whatever?
I really do think this place is overrated. Sure, the deeper parts are kind of intense, but the rest of it’s not that bad. There are a few orc territories scattered around, but come on, it’s just orcs.
The four of us have split up, chasing down the monsters, but there aren’t enough of them to make it a proper fight, and their levels are low. The dungeon zone is expanding again, sure, but the monsters are still weak and numbers are insufficient. The only real hassle is the huge number of mushrooms, it’s taking ages to collect them all.
(Jiggle Jiggle)
Looks like Slime-san is in a great mood after eating a whole bunch of gobs. Must’ve stocked up quite a bit of 『High Sexual Vigor』too. Pres-san’s probably got a hefty reserve as well, she’s got 『Insatiable Libido』and『Regeneration』 after all!
Plunder-type skills really are something else. I kind of wish I had one of those auto sword technique cheats too, but even if I had one, it’d be useless since I probably wouldn’t be able to actually use it anyway. The auto sword cheat forces your body to follow the skill exactly as dictated, it’s a rigid, uninterruptible swordsmanship technique. You can’t cancel mid-swing, dodge, or react. Having something like that would just be terrifying to actually use. Still, who wouldn’t want to shout something like 『Sevenfold Slash!』? Just once? Most of my skills are the kind of thing I really don’t want to say out loud! I mean, imagine having to scream 『NEET!』 while fighting. No thank you. I bet 『Lewd Arts!』 wouldn’t go over well either.
It’s kind of ironic, back then, I had to skulk around and take out goblins instantly before they could land a hit, since a single blow meant death. Now, I’ve got the skills to take them head-on, and my gear can tank a few hits no problem… But at this point, I don’t even need to tank anything anymore. They can’t touch me. Even without activating thought-acceleration or anything, they’re just sluggish monsters moving in slow motion. A single hit and they drop dead?
It’s a strange feeling, like I’ve been here forever, and yet like it’s been ages. Even gobs and kobos feel kind of nostalgic… though they’re extinct now, so I guess I won’t be seeing them again. Well, they respawn fast anyway.
At first, I was living here alone, just doing everything I could to survive, then before I knew it, it was a huge uproar with dozens of high school girls appearing out of nowhere, and now, here I am, back home, with the four of us.
I used to think I’d be alone in this forest forever, and now suddenly it’s so full of life. The scenery still feels nostalgic and kind of emotional, but when the four of us are together, it looks completely different somehow. Well……… the monsters are probably greatly inconvenienced with those three around. Thankfully, looks like they all were wiped out before they had a chance to complain.
