Day 96 – Nighttime, Lord’s Mansion　

The Lord’s Mansion had a designated crash zone built on the inn-side of the property back when it was first designed, so it was a safe crash site. Unlike proper landings, crashes are compact and don’t take up much space, that’s the real selling point. Well… did we crash? (BOOM!)

The highly anticipated drop from Ignis Avis, the Latin firebird, the 「Flame Ignis Mantle」 with SpE +40%, Large Posture Control, Large Acceleration, Blazing Flame, Whirlwind, and Flame Feather, glided gracefully with precise posture, accelerated swiftly, and crash-landed in a whirlwind. While it seemed to manipulate gravity itself, it couldn’t interfere with the acceleration of free fall. Flight might be possible, but landing? That still looks difficult… I just want a safe crash at least.

But despite the pain and the rush to get to the Lord’s Mansion, it was all for nothing. What greeted us were
