Cecily Campbell, a former noble and now a knight, is in search of a swordsmith who could reforge the old sword she inherited from her father. While out in town, she encounters a young man who repels a crazed man with his sword. His name was Luke Ainsworth, a swordsmith by trade. She is introduced to his assistant, Lisa, and later meets Aria, an Infernal Blade that becomes part of her charge. Soon, she finds herself entangled in a fierce conflict surrounding Valbanill and Sacred Swords. Struggling with the fate imposed upon her and the stirrings of unfamiliar emotions, Cecily grows as both a knight and a woman, strengthening her bonds with her companions along the way.
